Web Developer
Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of external and internal web sites
- Build and expand upon current and future web site designs through valid XHTML/CSS
- Works in all stages of the web site development life cycle such as gathering requirements, design, implementation, testing and debugging
- Customization of third party applications/plug-ins and development of custom applications/plug-ins as needed
- Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with web sites
- Planning and organization of storage and retrieval of the vast amounts of multiplayer data in our databases
- Development, maintenance, security and writing documentation for web API
- Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware to meet development objectives
Requirements and Skills
- Experience maintaining and administering LAMP servers
- Competency or working knowledge in the following areas is required: PHP, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, mySQL, HTTP protocols (RPC, REST, and the like)
- Excellent grasp of building, modifying and maintaining CMS platforms such as Expression Engine, Worpress, Drupal, Movable Type, etc.
- BA/BS degree in a related field or 4 years work related programming experience
- Knowledge or experience in the following areas is a benefit but not required: Linux C, Amazon Web Services, ASP.net
