Double Cash (and a few other goodies) are BACK for this Thanksgiving Weekend – starts on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 10:00 PST!

I’m sure you could have guessed, but we’re doing something special for Thanksgiving weekend! Of course, those of you outside of the United States may not celebrate Thanksgiving or may celebrate it on a different weekend – but that doesn’t matter, everyone is welcome!
When you join a competitive Multiplayer match on Thanksgiving weekend, you’ll be greeted with a slightly different look to our Heroes and Villians. It looks like Drake and Lazarevic had a few too many helpings of turkey (or Tofurkey), green bean casserole and, most definitely, sweet potato casserole.
We also flipped a few switches and bits here and there and not only is Double Cash weekend back, but you’ll be getting 2x the cash from any and all medals you are awarded during the course of a competitive or cooperative match. The per-match limits of $50,000 are still in effect, so if you’re just that good, you’ll be maxing out just about all the time.
Oh, and don’t forget to check out the brand new multiplayer map “The Fort” or check up on where you stand on the in-game Leaderboards!
Double Cash Weekend starts promptly on November 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM PST (what time is that in my city?) and ends on November 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM PST (what time is that in my city?)

I’m not that happy… sorry folks! I’m still not jumping and clapping my ands!
I know what I want.
I don’t want to be told when I should leave a match. It’s my time and I want manage it by my own.
If players are loosing 100 0r 999999 points because someone decided to quit the match … It’s not a player fault!
Its disappointing to see all ours hard work go away just like that.
But please doesn’t blame the ones that decided terminate the match whatever the reason given.
You can find quitter in all games. Then are we loosing points because of the quitters on the other games too? I’m not.
Then stop blaming the wrong person… ask ND to keep community united and happy! It’s not fun anymore playing this game like that.
Was not this U2 game that I bought at the first moment?
It’s embarrassing that ND had chosen the easy way. A $40.000 penalty implementation.

Time as came and ND should start working. Thanks for the donuts on Thanksgiving:
A slightly different look to our Heroes and Villians;

That won’t bring happiness to the community… not for me.
We have been asking for a NO 40K PENALTY IMPLEMENTATION And a sustainable fix.

You sound like a total quitter.
Before the patch : Almost every game at least 3 people quit.
After patch : Barely any quitters.
If you quit twice in an hour you lose 40K! Do you have to eat twice in an hour? I don’t see the big deal for the most part QUITTERS WERE OWNED and people with BAD CONNECTIONS now have some extra motivation to fix there damn crap connection.
It’s hilarious how you’re complaining!!! I guess you can’t please EVERYONE.
A month after release 2 double XP weekends, multiple updates and a new map! And your complaining?!?!

Keep jumping for the peanuts they are throwing away. Those peanut will bring you a very nice game experience in the future.
I stop playing the U2 on “Last Played: 2009-10-24 10:27:18” as soon I was told that they will implement that cleaver system. I won’t play it again till they keep it up.
I have more games to play… more are coming out. I will celebrate thanksgiving too but with the games I bought with no peanuts attached.
I’m not waiting for those peanuts ND are giving away on this season to keep you happy and with your mouth shut.
I was waiting for something that I believe it’s my right to ask for. THE RIGHT TO BE FREE;

I’m with you All2000, I gave back my copy to EB Games and demanded my money back… after a very persuasive argument , they gave it to me in full. This was not the game I bought, if this information was disclosed before it was released then I’m sure many would not have purchased it, including myself (I would have just rented it instead).
The good news is that BFBC2 is an AMAZING multiplayer experience and the good news is that if someone quits or gets disconnected someone else joins to replace them, NO PENALTIES, NO PROBLEM!
I’ve always been a huge fan of ND but this dumb move tarnishes their reputation IMO! How can they overlook implementing having players joining mid game????

ok after reading your comments all2000, i have decided your pretty much right. sanctions for quitters is to discourage quitters to try and make the game better, or maybe fairer (i have some issues about fairness in this game myself) but having people join to replace quitters isnt too bad an idea, personally i hate joining games in progress but better than a 40k sanction, or if there is a penalty like -40k it shuld be temporary.

Why do I have the feeling that there is a greater reason for all you clamorous clowns leaving U2? I can’t help but imagine, that the real reason behind your rejection of U2 is that most of you are riding the old hype band wagon of MW2. Keep it real! How are we who think the 40k penalty should go HATERS lol
I have played this game since the beta, bought it on day one, got the platinum trophy and loved playing the multiplayer until the halloween update.
How has it stopped quitters they still leave or just put the controller down and wait for the match to end.
All the 40k penalty does is punish innocent players.
I am one of many die hard fans who really want to play the game but can’t until the 40k penalty has gone.
If you want a flawed system that ruins the game and excludes people from it fine, but we want to make the game better so everyone can enjoy it.
