If you haven’t booted up UNCHARTED 2 lately (for shame!), then you may have missed that we’re lining your pockets with cash with another Double Cash weekend for the holidays!

The holidays are all about the giving spirit and we’re in a giving mood!

As we revealed on the PlayStation.blog, we’re holding another Double Cash weekend from Thursday, December 24, 2009, at 10:00 AM PST (what time is it in my city?) through Sunday, December 27, 2009, at 11:00 AM PST (what time is it in my city?) you would earn double for all kills and medals. Yes, you read that right, you’ll be getting Double Cash for medals as well!

Oh, and our characters have gotten into the spirit of the season to celebrate the occasion!

Hats are cool, but you still have people glitching in the fort.When are you going to punish the players who always GLITCH? You really need to address this on your web site, and what to do when we find someone GLITCHING!!!!!

Double Cash for kills and medals is nice. It’ll actually make playing the other modes not named Deathmatch and Plunder more exciting. Christmas hats are awesome.

I agree without doubling the cap N D is only helping the mid ranked players and not the loyal who always play and strive to be a high level.At 7 million to my next level, wheres my BONUS? Ill need 140 max caps in games to level up

thx naughty dog could you do something about people abusing the glitch cuz today i played like 3 game in the plaza and people were glitching near the gau i dont know how they do it but you should put something like if they get caught they get like 10 level penalty that would get rid of the glitcher and cheater

you can find out how they glitch.
Just look the video of the match in the cinema and reconstruct how they move.
And if you find out that somebody is glitching you can follow them and kill them at the glitch position where they are.

Awesome another Double Cash weekend. Elf Flynn is hilarious! Thanks for another great event guys! :D Oh but there is one thing, can you guys fix some of the lag issues? I’m growing tired of waiting three minutes to respawn.

Hey, im not in the fifties with my level, but what if you just made a $100,000 cap for the players in their fifties, i think they would really apprieciate it, expecially since they have the boosters that give them lots of money.

I found a glitch in the temple map. Upper floor, where rpg is located, if you jump on top of fence then make a second jump, you’ll be able to grab onto the edge of the shack’s roof and go through it. The person is invisible and is able to shoot people within proximity. However if the player jumps, the character is automatically killed. FIX THIS GLITCH, THERE IS WAY TOO MANY!!

As soon as I reached Level 53 on Nov 5th I vowed never to play online again until they lift the money cap.

DOUBLE CASH IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS ONCE YOU REACH LEVEL 52. IT ONLY HELPS PEOPLE THAT ARE JUST STARTING OUT. EITHER LIFT THE MONEY CAP OR REDUCE THE REQUIRED AMOUNTS FOR LEVELS 55-60.

They aren’t going to remove the $50,000 limit, at least for normal operations. They might for a special event.

It’s designed to keep you playing for a long time. 51~60 are the equivalent of playing level 1~50 again, similar to Prestige in Call of Duty.

There’s no rush. They still have a lot of content in the pipe line. Relax, and enjoy the game for fun. Besides, Badges of Honor aren’t useless. If they were, you’d be getting $50,000 per match without them.

If you’re as good as you say you are, finish the match faster, and play more matches, and you’ll be making money faster. They aren’t going to let you get 100 kills by farming for 20 minutes in Plunder so you can get $500,000 per match.

This is all very good and all but.. i cant take part since me and other players keep getting the “error syncing player data” message everytime we try to connect.

Please can you fix this ND.. unless this means i miss yet another Double Cash weekend…

I wish I didn’t have this thing called work. I rather be making double cash in uncharted than real cash in real life. haha

I like the fact that ND is doing a decent job of updating the MP at a consistent rate. They need to time it right so they keep the UC2 crowd interested in the game by giving us new DLC, but not saturating the game with an abundance of features too quickly.

A none related question to this article although this is a sweet idea.....How come the most amount of money you can get for a match is $50 thousand????, im level 52 and i use invalid and must get at least 80 grand so please could you make it so you get as much points as you actually earn, rather then just stopping at 50 thousand, cause that makes the boosters pointless?

Hi ND, Cheers for the double cash and all, but there’s some serious weirdness going on. I played a few matches where all the oposition were invisible, so ass kickings were received BIG STYLE, and keep on getting 1 hit killed across the entire level (Through walls as well!?!) by a single shotgun blast! What’s happening? Is this a server error, or are people just exploiting glitches? My stats have taken a MAJOR hammering tonight?!?

sw16ag try saving all of your data from EVERY game onto a memory stick, then deleting it all, then putting it all back on and try again, thats worked with me but not with that paticular problem, but its worth a go??

ND: PLEASE READ

It seems that since the last patch with the new automatic rematch, people are leaving themselves logged into the game for hours at a time while they’re not at the console… they just ‘ride the rematch’ all day, earning money off of their teammates while their characters stand idle. It’s particularly nasty with the double-cash weekend. Games are being played with one active player on a team with four statues. It would be outstanding if you could patch in an auto-kick for players who don’t submit any controller input for an entire match so that they don’t get carried over to the next matchup. This sort of behavior isn’t fair to the rest of us.

Oh, and thanks again for the awesome hats.

it is true that some people stay log in but i dotn really see the point of doing that because even if you stay log and your team win you only get 2000 per match and you get killed like 10 time so at the end of the day you basically made like 200 000 if you are lucky and probably get killed at least 2000 time so i dont see the point

Let’s say you’re going to grandma’s for the entire Christmas weekend. You could either miss the double points entirely, or you could jump into the Plunder playlist and earn $2000+ every fifteen minutes or so for 72 hours straight. I would imagine the hit to your k/d ratio isn’t a concern when you could potentially gain several levels and enough cash to buy several skins and boosters.

I heard DLC was supposed to come out Christmas. I realize it’s not Christmas quite yet but it doesn’t sound like were getting any right now. I’m really bummed out but still I love the additional chances for money and silly hats. So thanks for those.

Yeah I hear ya man. Money wouldn’t be a problem. DLC would be fantastic as it is but I hope they give us players in America the skins that only the European gamers got (Pinkerton, Rika, Prakoso etc.)in addition to the normal DLC stuff

there are 2 playstations in my home. we were playing uc2 in a party of 3. normal finding players. but my roommates tv had different choices on vote screen than mine. after vote screens both tvs had all 3 members of our party listed as playing 2 different games. when game started, myself and 3rd party were in one 10 player game and my roommate was in another 10 player game. about 30 secondsnto game my roommates player froze and so did his he had to turn it off in the back. he tried to play again but same thing happened(froze up) so he didnt play anymore that night. the next day he went to play , and got we noticed you didnt finish last match...fine message.it hasnt happened again and he could care less about $. just thought this info might help you figure out the connectn error problems.

we used to have alot of connection problems and NAT error problems. wended up just bridging the modem and trading our linksys router for a d-link (more gaming friendly) router. i didnt know there were different types of routers,etc. i found alot of helpful info at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r20554921-Xtreme-NAT-help-with-Netopia-2241n006
maybe you could have a technical tips page with info like this to help people who are having connection error problems and also to put your advice of deleting game data(?) to those with error syncing data problems. i had trouble getting the steel fist expert trophy because my game just stopped tallying them up. i ended up having to go to my friends house and with their ps3 off-line, i deleted my player profile (psn id) and reentered the same one again and started game fresh and got trophy right away. so, apparently the psn id holds some game info in addition to the game data and save data files. i didnt want to delete my name from my ps3 cuz i didnt know what i might lose, but maybe that is what the people with error syncing data message will have to do. hope this info will help some body. wish i was getting double cash instead of writing these posts....

@aimlesscwnts04. we shouldn’t have to take a measure that extreme to play mp. ND should produce an update or dlc that gets rid of this problem once and for all because i have a lot of game data and trophies that i don’t wanna lose

Merry Christmas to all. The 100K cap is an amazing gift. The skins are really cool (although, why not use Winter Drake for the heroes?). I cannot wait for the DLC. Thanks ND. Your game is still easily one of the best.

Oh, and I forgot to mention. Yesterday a level 60 teammate of mine was using Skelzor on the Heroes team. I know Skelzor was a hero during the Halloween double cash weekend, but I thought he was usually a villain. Does anyone know anything about that?
