There have been many forums posts and comments about Flashback Map Pack 2 and certain glitches that had been found while playing. The reason you saw those bugs is that the version that was posted on February 22nd on the European PS Store was an earlier version of the map pack that wasn’t final. For this reason we requested the content be taken down from the EU store temporarily. It was removed and replaced today.
This is important - EU PLAYERS – The correct and final version of Flashback Map Pack 2 is live. You will need to re-download it from your PS Store. You can do this by viewing recent purchases via the Download List (top right hand corner of your PS Store) and then selecting the Flashback Map Pack 2 content for download.
The version of the Flashback Map Pack 2 that went live in all other regions outside of the EU is the final version. Those regions will not be required to re-download. They will only be subject to the following changes.
During the time the earlier version of the DLC was live we didn’t take any maps out of the matchmaking rotation for any region. We did what was possible to fix the more glaring exploits. These fixes will remain in place until patch 1.07, which will be available shortly after patch 1.06 is released. Patch 1.06 is slated to be released in 1 to 2 weeks. Patch 1.07 will come after that.
If you haven’t seen it already, here’s a list of the changes that had been made to the Plaza map globally. Again, these will remain in place until patch 1.07 releases.
For Competitive Modes (on Plaza)
-
Added a stack of cars to prevent players from accessing an alleyway in Plaza that will drop players out of the level geometry
For Co-op Arena and Hunter Arena modes (on Plaza)
-
Added a death region to the affected area, which will instantly kill a player if they travel into it.
-
Removed Plaza from the Hunter Matchmaking playlist
We will keep these changes in place until patch 1.07, as it will require all owners of the Flashback Map Pack 2 who have the incorrect version to re-download it. If you have the correct version of Flashback Map Pack 2, you will not need to re-download anything when patch 1.07 hits.
As always please continue to let us know what you see as you are playing via the forums, here, or through our other communication channels. Thank you for your patience and understanding. See you online!

Not everyone is going to see this… So how will they know to re-install?
Also, if you haven’t removed the maps from the map rotation, why are they not showing up (I have the NA final version)??
BTW, do the EU players have to delete and re-download EVERY single piece of DLC for this, or do they just have to download the flashback #2 pack and install it without manually deleting anything?

Help us spread the word! We are communicating it through as many channels as possible. This post will appear in PlayStation channels as well.
Just download the Flashback Map Pack and install it should work. Let us know if you have any problems with that.
As for them not showing up, it’s a matter that other players need to have the same DLC installed.

there should be an in game pop up that tells people about this.

Agreed. This should be implemented in a future Title Update…

It will be part of patch 1.07. There’s just a process that needs to happen to get the patches live so we could use your help in the interim.

Guess we can look forward to playing Flashback#2 sometime mid-March then.

Perhaps a video in the YouTube embed on the game menu? It’s actually the perfect place for this sort of thing… it doesn’t have to be ALL promos for The Last of Us and videos of people who are better than me at Uncharted!

This is definitely NOT the right place. Most players disable the Uncharted TV.

This absolutely HAS to be on an in-game notification. Most players don’t read the blog or follow you on social media. I’ve just passed on the word to 20 people and they were all clueless… some still don’t believe me.

It will be part of patch 1.07. It just takes time to get the patches live.

OK, so i have downloaded these “fixed” final versions and the exact thing i’ve been dreading since the reports about the differences between the US and EU versions of the DLC has happened, apart from changing power weapon spawns, which i don’t care about, they also removed the option to climb up this door on Village:

I’ve been very forgiving about the issues that have plagued U3 mp recently, and some minor omissions on the revamped maps don’t bother me, like the fact that you can’t climb the statue in the Temple hallway anymore, since that barely factored into gameplay, but this spot right here is a major traversal point in Village. I climbed up that door to get unnoticed to the old desert eagle spawn at least 10 times per match in U2, as it would allow me to surprise people or escape and turn the tables on people chasing me, or get the drop on the otherwise. Sure i could climb up there from the other 3 sides of the building, but it’s just not the same, cause you can easily be seen from all 3 directions.
This game’s charm for me is all about traversal and using your environment to the fullest to get advantage on your opponents. Why in the world would a revamped version of one of the most popular maps in Uncharted mp feature gimped traversal, while there have been added new ways to get around on some of the other flashback maps like Cave, Sanctuary, and Fort? And the worst thing is i could climb that spot in U3’s Village just fine until i installed the supposedly fixed version today. Why does the final version of the map have less traversal options? This may seem a minor thing to some, but for me it’s the straw that broke the camel’s back. I cannot express how disappointed and upset i am about this and it’s severely bringing down my enjoyment of the map pack as a whole.
Please tell me this was a mistake and that it can be reverted via live update or with the next patch.

Some aspects of the maps were tweaked in the design phase.

Putting this DLC fiasco aside, are the ND team aware that the ‘Bandwidth Testing’ implemented in the last patch has crippled the game in Europe? Me and my gaming buddies (all from the UK) could previously play with people worldwide with minimal lag issues. Now every single game is a mess of teleporting players, lego man animations and hitbox fails.
I can’t even play Arena with my regular 3-man team, and we’re less than 50 miles apart from each other. Just played a TDM with a bunch of French guys, things were even worse. Pre-patch, there would’ve been no problem at all. I hope this is going to be addressed ASAP because right now UC3 is frankly unplayable.
