Uncharted 2 Achieves Target Sales - PS3center.net
PS3center.net took note that, as far as VGChartz is concerned, UNCHARTED 2 has recently surpassed sales of UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune in a scant 10 weeks, compared to just under a couple of years for our previous title. I don’t have any up to date sales data, but if this is even close, this is awesome news and we can only hope that many more people out there continue to purchase and enjoy our game!

Well, ND has been kind enough to give us free DLC for each month after U2 was released. For every major holiday, we’ve gotten new characters to temporarily play as. And The Fort DLC multiplayer map was released free for everyone. ND has been the more generous with DLC than almost any other game studio that I know.

I can’t wait for the next DLC as there is going to be free and stuff and other stuff that can be brought from the store, hopefully the brought content will be the skins. anyway to the DLC there is news of it coming out some time in the next week or so wait and be prepared to be amazed.

Even tho they have bee generous im not going to be PLAYING ANY MORE! IM LV 43 AND I GOT 2 40K DEDUCTIONS FROM GETTING 2 CONNECTION ERRORS! SO ND IF YOUR READING THIS FIX IT! ALOT OF YOUR PLAYERS ARE GOING TO/HAVE STOPPED PLAYING....I really do love the game....but im not going to be playing ANYMORE.....you MUST find a way for the people who leave! get a 40k deduction NOT people who get CONNECTION ERROR....so untill you fix this/desscuss it with everyone you lost a player! (plus like my whole school who LOVES U2 way bettr than COD ) cuz this has been happening 24/7 to EVERY1

This has happened to me as well. In the last couple of days, I’ve been having errors when entering multiplayer deathmatch games. Each time, the screen is frozen and what else can I do but QUIT the game! When I sign on again, I get a message stating I left the previous game and I lose 40k. This has happened about 4 times in the last 2 days! Fix this, ND!

You what would at least be be interesting, if not fun: Another “Survival” mode where you are the villain characters shooting the Heroes. And the Heroes never die, they keep escaping your efforts. And they keep getting closer, and closer to you. It could be Survival Horror!

Read before assuming. Battlefield Bad Company 2 (Dice) have a lot of respect for Uncharted 2 and realize that it will be a long time before a game will come along to surpass it. Unfortunately that will be in 2011 I believe? When Uncharted 3 is released :D.

Look the only competitive mode I play is plunder. Because, with the right teams, it can be long, challenging and fun.

Frankly, I would like to be able to use arean in different maps. Such as the ice cavern and train wreck.

Lastly, as well as mostly, I want MORE CO-OP! Just three to choose from isn’t enough. It’ll be really cool to have a co-op game the goes back to the Eye of Indra storyline or something to re-cap in Drake’s Fortune if there’s nowhere else left to go in Among Thieves. It’s be cool to see Drake (in his prototype clothes) Rika and Eddie in action.

Also, I would like to be able to freely choose which skin to use for arena and treasure hunt. Playing the same three characters can get a little stale.

Me too. Only because its long. Im growing to dislike all the other modes because their too short. I want medals, money etc. Just like everyone else.

but after you get up to the level of getting badges of honor you wont like plunder as much because you will be maxing out to the cap of 50k very quickly in the match and you will want to play shorter matches to get more money

Thanks for always updating the website ND, I think you can make an online research asking Uncharted fans what to add into the multiplayer mode: I guess everyone wants more maps and more co-op missions (especially objective modes). You guys are clearly on the right track, this is the PROPER DEMAND, so BRING IT ON and I wish you all good luck on developing the next Uncharted game, I’m going to check here everyday for updating news.

I found him glitching in The Ice Cave. A similar glitch to the initial one on that level. It’s again at the villain end, but at the opposite side.

The sad thing is he’s a Level X guy. You’d think he’d know better, but obviously not.

Lost City, The Plaza, and i think one more place, ive seen people go into the map or something, they can shoot anyone anywhere in the game and no one can get to them. personally if someone on my team trys to do that i try to get em b4 they get to the glitch next round, i want a fair fight with the other team.

plaza is villians left side i believe, and lost city is one of the corners near the sniper rifles. i saw a ton of it yesterday.

If you have a couple of minutes, could you please share your opinion on glitchers? I’d just genuinely love to hear ND’s take on it all.

Are you not interested at all in punishing glitchers? Either by banning them or maybe resetting their skill level back to one? Is punishing glithcers something that’s come up in discussions before, or something you think will be discussed in future? Or is it just a case of there’s going to be glitchers, people will take advantage of them, and the glitches will be fixed in time...?

Personally, I think cheaters should be punished. I’d LOVE to see a ‘report a glitch/glitcher’ option on this website. I mean, we all have access to Cinema files, which is a fantastic feature and absolutely ideal in reporting glitchers as the proof is right there.

Anyway, either way, with so many glitchers/glitches about at the moment, I’d really like to hear your take on it all

ok, i only use a glitch to take out a person using the glitch, but the glitcher should not be punished. The way i see it, it’s the game developers fault that there are glitches in the first place. i understand they dont have time to test every single piece of each map, but using a glitch is just like using any other part of the map to your advantage. If a glitch exists, its not the gamers fault, and it’s their every right to exploit that as much as it is their right to exploit a snipers spot and use that method to get kills. I don’t glitch because it ruins the game for me, I enjoy the challenge of the game itself, And with glitches like the ice-cave-pull-down thing, i can get more kills than the guy who uses the glitch anyway by playing the game fairly. and pretty much every other glitch i know of is useless, you cant shoot anyone when your taking advantage of the glitch and normally the only way to leave is to commit suicide.

and another thing, how are we supposed to find the glitch and fix it if there arn’t glitchers who waste their time running about an animated map jumping an animated person into walls to find them for us? if anything, the people who find the glitch are doing ND a massive favor! they are like Incredibly Throughor Game Testers that don’t cost The company a Penny!

Glitches should be reported, but glitchers should not be punished for taking advantage of something that should never have existed in the first place.

I didn’t know it was possible to glitch purposely. I’ve been in a game or two where there’s some invisible guy killing ever one. One time I was that invisible guy and didn’t know until halfway through the game. I didn’t do anything to make it happen, it just happened at the start of one of the games. I hope it doesn’t happen again, because I’d hate for them to think I’m trying to do it and exploit something. I have no idea how it happened, but it would be great if they could fix it. It’s only happened to me once, but I have seen it happen to others too.

My opinion of “report a glitcher” is that when the fix the glitches on each map, this feature will be obsolete. Also, who would be able to figure out a “fair” punishment? It would be as controversial as the penalty for leaving a game.

Finally, one glitcher said to me, “if you’re good enough to find me, then you can take me out.” I’m mixed on this topic, but glitches have not ruined any games for me.

I hope ND focuses on fixing the glitches with the next round of DLC, welcome back from the holidays, I’ll be patient!

It would be nice to figure out if the feedback replies on this ND blog are the best way to report them. Looking forward to Arne’s response.

You CAN mute players while online. Press start...then mute specific players. Abusive language is very subjective, anyway. If you don’t like someone leave the match or just play with your “wholesome” invites. Don’t make Naughty Dog police things. We want them making downloadable content!

ok, this sh*t has gone on long enough.
no offence and sorry for bad language but i am so angry right now at this game and what ND has done with it.
Uncharted 2 is a great game. the story is excellent, the graphics are stunning and the online multiplayer is great. I am a level 50 and enjoy playing with my friends. I am from New Zealand, which naturally means my connection is bad when playing with americans and europeans, its something I cannot help.

It would seem that ND and its stupid $40,000 quit penalty is in need of massive attention and urgent fixing. I agree with a quit penalty, there is nothing I hate more than having 2 or three team members leave the game I’m playing, leaving the rest of the team at the mercy of 5 other players. I agree that that should be punished.

I am sick of playing each game in fear that i will lose connection and 40,000 hard earnt dollars. over the 3 months I’ve owned this game I’ve lost over $1,000,000 to this stupid penalty, and none of it has been my fault.

I hope naughty dog can get their act together and fix this huge letdown that is ruining their reputation.

now i wouldnt be complaining if i counldn’t see some OBVIOUS ways to fix it myself that ND has been ignorant enough to ignore.

How about Mid-Game joining? I personally hate joining half-way through a game but its far better than wasting my time earning $40,000 to have it taken away from me.
And the most obvious answer of all:

DONT PENALIZE PEOPLE FOR LOSING CONNECTION!!!
farrrr out how hard can it be!? I mean its not like i’m asking you to add another storyline, or instantly generate 15 or so DLC maps in the next week, ALL I WANT IS FOR YOU TO FIX A MINOR PROBLEM THAT IS CAUSING MASSIVE ARGUEMENTS!

get your act together and before bringing out extras and DLC for the game, make the game itself better for everyone so we can fully enjoy the DLC you make in the future!

sorry for going off but, its frustrating to watch a great game get ruined because of something so small and easy to fix.

Oh yea, how about an ideling penalty? so people dont just hang around doing nothing in plunder matchses, pisses me off when all 4 people on my team are standing around doing nothing for the whole thing. maybe like if you don’t move for 5 mins you get kicked from the game and all earnings are taken away or something.

Hi ND, still enjoying U2 online a bunch. My opinion on glitches is as long as you can still get shot while in da glitch, its passible, as long as ND at least tries to fix glitches im happy. But if they just leave the ridiculous glitches like the dead body glitch in mgo for example alone, thats wrong. But ND tries and it shows since they fixed that fort glitch where u could shoot through walls. Anyway, nice work ND, you boys and girls rock!

This problem who must solve?
To be resolved by itself in a next game update?
I could indicate something about the subject, I have worried, because I spent a long time, and I do not see how you lose everything.

Thanks for the Updates and the DLC ND. For the next load of DLC however can I please ask you to fix one particular issues which I know annoys everyone I play with, and that is the inconsistency of grenades.
Please tell me why I can be standing 10 metres away from a grenade and die, but then someone rolls directly over the top of one of my grenades as it is exploding but somehow miraculously comes through unscathed?
I really don’t like posting this here, but there is no other avenue to contact you guys about issues with the game.

BUT PLEASE, PLEASE GIVE US A MESSAGE THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEMS AND THAT YOU ARE WORKING HARD TO SOLVE THEM!!

i hate the new penalty for leaving a game early at my rank $40,000 is a whole level its not fair that you only get it if your in the losing team i think you should make people who leave abandon their earning and if they leave 3 tines in a row inforce the $40,000 penalty. I am also strongly in favour of a lowerded health playlist. I also think it would be great if there was a playlist were you could only use the same weapons as each and you can’t find really powerful weapons. Ano grenades playlist would also be good or put a longer timer on grenades because people drop ghem just as they die to try and get a cheap kill. I would also like to mention that I have had no connection problems.

Which team you’re on has nothing to do with whether you get the fine or not. I was in a team where we were winning 42-28, I just killed someone with a shotgun and my entire PS3 froze. When I rebooted I saw the message stating I’d been fined 40K. I’d never quit a game before and I never will, so this was incredibly frustrating.

ND, i know everyone is pushing on you guys 4 DLC… and they have there reasons… but i think that you guys should add more skins, i hate having 2 ppl with the same skin… its so weird!!! and also, eiather guns for download (by that i mean we pay $) or give us some other, cuz i mean if you guys ever read all over the internet one of the most complaned is the fact that there is not very many guns; and it is so true. so yea… please do all that, dang i feel like im being demanding lol but it probly wont happen so >_<

lol ya battle feild bad company serise wont reach uncharted2 grahpics till 2011 or 2012 (end of the world so it wont happen!) and ND when will you open up a job spot for coding? eiatheir networking or AI possibly even in effects… im going to get in!!!! :D

Great job ND. I`ve always liked your games and they were always good, but you really outdid yourselves with UC2.

How about you add a camera in the next game so players can take pictures in-game and export them to their PS3. UC2 is a beautiful game and not having one in it is a real shame.

You get something like a digital camera option to use in the game. The same thing that multiplayer has, except you don`t have to watch a replay to take a screenshot.

Imagine taking pic of Drake while he`s standing on top of the hotel in Nepal and using that picture as a wallpaper. It would be great.

Hey naughty dog i love what your doing and all but i was thinking if you can add to an upgrade/update and when ever people run into the water they get wet. Right now it only happens for Dreak you should add it for all the characters like Flynn and Chloe.

it be nice if u add a reward n new medals for this feature like “Im A Cheater Medal” n “The Private Eye Medal” lol

how to get the medal n reward:

Im A Cheater Medal: When someone reports a video of u Cheating and ND Reviews it they give u the medal n a -$100,000 Reward

The Private Eye Medal: When you report a video of a cheater. ND Rewards u with that Medal for finding a cheater, plus rewards u $100,000 that was taken away from the cheater u reported lol

that way u dont gotta fix the glitchs n cheaters can continue glitchin but they get a penalty if they get caught. n we get a reward for snitchin lol

Im afraid that if there is no new content bordem will insue and I will have to play another game because this one is played out. ND please dont let me forget about Uncharted 2.

OK this has nothin to do with this but EU got indra skins what about NORTH AMERICA WE WANT SKINS AND GOLDEN GUNS AND NEW MAPS so if they get something we should TO i also want other skins like elena uncharted1 tibeatan warrior EU stuff especially pinkerton and eddy raja and i didnt get navarro :( that should be put in too more maps like desprate times map or the place with the stairs that is the entrance/guardian and what ever else u guys can think of other ppl comment on this
