ND if you truly read over the forums, blog comments and Tweets why don’t you fix the 40k penalty issue.

The amount of people myself included that have received 40k penalties for connection errors and PS3’s freezing is rediculous.

At the moment your not deterring quitters your deterring everyone who plays the multiplayer. Sort it out soon ND before players stop playing altogether.

Eternal21 posted November 21, 2009 10:49 am

Stop complaining and fix your connection, or buy a new router.  I play non-stop and never had any issues with U2.

Mike12888 posted November 21, 2009 10:52 am

Agreed. Ever thought of FIXING your internet? The 40K should serve as some extra motivation.

PeteX19 posted November 21, 2009 11:33 am

Just because my internet goes down shouldn’t mean a game punishes me for it.

Besides I played 3hrs of MW2 multiplayer straight and didn’t loose connection once.

It’s obvious you feel this way because it hasn’t happened to you. But for alot of players, its annoying and frustrating as hell to see your progress wiped for no good reason.

Don’t get me wrong I love the game but there are better options than a 40k penalty.

DChalmes posted November 21, 2009 1:22 pm

Same, I play U2 and get connection errors 95% of the time, then I go play something like WarHawk and I have a ping of 90....

it’s really annoying and I know my internet is not to blame, and even if it was, would you not be pissed if lost a lot of earnings due to connection errors? I think so.

arne posted November 21, 2009 2:59 pm

FYI—Warhawk uses dedicated severs, whereas we do not.

ZBlacktt posted November 22, 2009 9:45 am

Eternal21, awh, please don’t be so clueless. A connection drop is something that just happens. Just because the issue has not happen to you. Does not mean it’s not happening to others. So don’t sit here and defend the dev’s problem of not fixing the issue. It happen to me last night and I lost 40k. It’s happen to me before that too and I lost 40k. The game has also froze on the screen and I lost 40k for that as well. So there is a problems with this penalty.

Rather than cover it up or just look past it. It’s better to come here and address it so they can come up with a better way. Which I already know of one. I have over 140 hours in the online. I’m level 51 and have over 35,000 kills. I know this game very well I think. It can be made better so that more players don’t leave like they have.

xii_gloryFADES posted November 23, 2009 3:27 am

Not all Warhawk servers are Sony-dedicated.

UC2 does have connection problems.  I’ve played the above mentioned game, CoD4, Battlefield, and a slew of other MP games and never had disconnects.. but it happened somewhat regularly to me or friends on Uncharted 2.  Just my .02.

lichterloh posted November 23, 2009 5:07 am

ZBlacktt, I’ve been in two co-op objective matches with you and both times you went “I don’t want to play on easy” and suddenly you had a “connection error”.

I very much prefer Crushing myself, but still, that reeks more of quitting than a physical connection problem, don’t you think?

wlchrbandit posted November 23, 2009 1:38 pm

I have the highest connection possible in my area, tops at about 6.5Mb, but between like 4pm and 9pm it drops to about 1Mb. This aint my fault, I have just stopped playing U2 since they implemented this!

DCaff posted November 24, 2009 2:35 pm

Its not always a fixing your internet problem...i have great internet but sometimes i just get dropped or the ps3 freezes, so your an exception..you should still want them to fix it....and 40k is ridiculous, once they did that i quit playing..it is to harsh. Uncharted was my fav multiplayer game but to mw2 it is were they give a normal penalty

DChalmes posted November 24, 2009 3:01 pm

DChalmes posted November 24, 2009 3:02 pm

*edit* that was to arne

anonimato333 posted November 27, 2009 7:32 am

It´s not a router problem cuz here in Spain at least it happens to a lot of people.I think the penalty is fine BUT only for those players who voluntarily abandon.

arne posted November 21, 2009 3:00 pm

Currently we’re confident we’ve made the right decision regarding penalties for leaving the match—remember you don’t get docked any cash for the FIRST time. We’re keeping a close eye on in-game stats and forums and we will make adjustments if and when we feel they are warranted.

PeteX19 posted November 21, 2009 4:10 pm

Thanks Arne for replying at least I know where ND stands on this now.
My first time was on day one of the update, which resulted in a time delay as you said it would. So the safety net of that is little use to me now.

The second followed a few matches later exactly the same way as the first, I will tell you all the details. It consisted of the match starting but grenades didn’t go off, some players floated around the map, I was unable to pickup any weapons and kills were not registered. A few minutes in and the game ended, and one of the other players was highlighted in black on the results board(he must of ended the game). I pressed circle to go back to the main menu, on returning to the multiplayer I had a 40K penalty.

This example happens to me alot but now it usually ends in the game freezing and me having to reset the PS3.

Can you at least tell me why this happens?

Its a shame your not doing anything about the 40k issue. A number of people on my friends list have already traded in the game because of this. Missing out on potential DLC and the replay value of the single player.

I have just dropped from level 47 to 46 and don’t see the point in playing the game in its current state.

With respect I don’t know how many comments on this issue (which plague every post you release Arne) are needed before its seen as a wrong decision by Naughty Dog. Hopefully it will be ratified at some point, until then the game will go on the shelf gathering dust.

bLOOdTyPeX posted November 21, 2009 4:57 pm

Do you guys play ranked matches who are experiencing the penalty?

From my experience I have gotten the connection error few times after the update and no $40K penalty… BUT I just play the all competitive mode and not ranked.

Also I agree with PeteX19 this is hurting the online community the numbers have drastically dropped only 6k people are online on weekends and even less weekdays. This basically sucks because I LOVE the multiplayer.... Bring on the DLC!!!!!!!!

PeteX19 posted November 21, 2009 5:25 pm

Hey bLOOdTyPeX

I play mainly Co Op Arena, TDM and Objectives. It has happened three times on ranked mode for me.

Co Op Arena seems the worst for Connection Errors in my experience, saying that it is the mode I play the most.

ZBlacktt posted November 22, 2009 9:53 am

PeteX19, yep that’s where I play as well ( Co-Op’s ) and yes it is a problem. Despite arne saying it’s not an issue. I guess the USERS are just wrong and we love the 40k loss huh. What happens here is this. If you enter a game and some lame kid wants to team kill you for no reason and you’ve had enough and leave the game. Then on your next game you get a game freeze or game connection error. Then yes you are docked the 40,000 points for NO fault of your own. There is a better way and I would think ND could come up with the answer. I know of one that’s an easy fix for all.

mgsguy posted November 21, 2009 8:06 pm

Hi arne. I just wanted to address something that happened to me while I was playing online. It is true that I have quit a game once. But the second time, it was for no good reason. The match was over, and right after the match, I turned my PS3 off. (Not the best idea, by the way) The next day I got a message that said that I lost 40k. I don’t understand. The match was over, as in, it was on the leader board. You have no control over anything during that time, so why is this considered quiting a game?

J32-J32 posted November 21, 2009 9:14 pm

I lost 80k tonight after playing for 4 hours.  I think it is not right to deduct 40K everytime the internet connection goes down.  It is right to deduct 40K if a player leaves the game.  Would a bank charge its customers a fee for every transaction that was not completed at no fault of their own?  Get it right!  Do the right thing!  If you claim that you are monitoring the game stats then please give me my 80K back.

J32-J32.

lichterloh posted November 23, 2009 5:04 am

I’ve played a few hours of co-op every day for the last weeks and I can attest that the penalties have not had much if any influence on people’s quitting.

That said, most of the quitters in co-op are green-badges, fewer blue, so I reckon the majority are first-time offenders.

I’m moderately supportive of the idea of a quitting penalty but in co-op it just doesn’t work, unfortunately.

BODACIOUS34 posted November 23, 2009 6:20 am

Honestly, I could care less about the penalty for leaving(due to the fact that myself and some of my friends all play under my account, I’m not particulary worried about the stats and what not) Anyway, there is obviously some sort of connection issues with the game because it’s the only one that I have problems with… Don’t fret though, it’s not going to keep me/us from playing, but it definitely would raise the enjoyment factor if we could play more than 5 or so rounds without being disconnected for syncing errors and so on…

Anyway, what I’m getting at, is that if ya’ll could possibly detect what the problem(s) might be and could fix them.....taaadaaa!!!!! No more complaining from all of these people, plus me and my buds can get back down to business, melting the barrel off of the M-4....

So that’s my 2 cents… Thanks for all the hard work you guys have done for us, the game is awesome with problems or not and I appreciate the time and effort ya’ll have given us already

Thanks,

BKB

BODACIOUS34 posted November 23, 2009 8:45 am

*edit*

Forgot to say this above, I understand where the people are coming from about being penalized for bad connections.  If I was playing for stats and all, it would be a definite bummer to lose points/rank after an unintentional disconnect (yes they happen, frequently).  I’m just saying that if there is a way to fix the connection problems on ND’s/PSN’s end, it would kill two birds with one stone, 1. People being deducted points and 2. Steady game play.  1+2= Tons of fun chaos and less complaints… sounds like an all around good deal to me

Just wanted to say that before any trophy addicts started to hose me

Keep up the good work ND

clone555 posted November 25, 2009 2:03 am

Arne, you guys screwed up and you know it. The reason people are complaining so much is because they get fined when the game fails. And it fails in many ways.

We see dozens of complaints here about lost connections. And we see others pointing fingers and telling players to go sort out their connections. Introducing this type of penalty in a peer-to-peer game with obvious connectivity instability issues was a poor call. Whether they are users network/router/broadband provider problems or not is besides the point. The fact is connectivity is unstable for many players for many reasons. I sincerely doubt you even though about how connection errors would lead to penalties… You missed that, and you know it.

Even if I have a good connection, and I play through and never quit, we hear stories now that if I am playing a co-op game, and the host leaves, then we get a ‘connection error’, and every player gets a penalty? Again, I sincerely doubt you thought of this scenario. You missed that one guys and you know it.

And even if the connectivity issues were not a problem, you never even considered why people hit the quit button. Problems with match making and stacking teams of high level players against new players is just one of the reasons people quit.

There really must be a better way.

nineofus posted November 21, 2009 6:50 pm

i dont think i should lose 40k because i lose internet, It would be fair if i left the game.

vermontboarder posted November 24, 2009 1:32 pm

Maybe it’s already been discussed but the number of online players has dropped off significantly since they started this silly policy.  What was 20K appears to average around 6k.  I’m sure many of those were first-timers just trying out the multi-player and deciding they didn’t like it but that’s still a huge drop of online players in what was supposed to be such a huge title, game of the year..blah blah..etc..etc.

I saw a quarter million people playing MW2 multi-player.  But who’s comparing, right?

I don’t quit matches anymore.  If (God Forbid!!) something in my life comes up that’s more important than watching Chloe’s sweet butt swinging back/forth....I just put down the controller and walk away.  Sorry folks.  I hate it too and don’t want to do that to my team mates but keeping this policy is completely ego-driven. It was a bad, knee-jerk decision, yet ND will not come forward, admit they over-reacted, listen to their CUSTOMERS and fix the problem.

ND:  Are you listening??  THIS...IS....A....GAME.  Nothing more.  In 6 months, it will be a dinosaur.  If you don’t believe me, go count the used copies of Fallout3 at your local Gamestop.

And all the people saying how their connection is better and “maybe if you upgraded”....you’re kidding me, right?  Last time I checked, my computer/modem/PS3 used electricity.  I know this may be hard to believe but I’ve heard that some homes actually lose their power from time to time, often without warning, due to...oh...silly things like storms, wind...rain.  But c’mon...like that’s really going to happen in the middle of a match.

God, are you listening? Can you put that storm on hold for a few more minutes. I’m about to level-up.

BODACIOUS34 posted November 23, 2009 7:40 am

that would be nice… hell i wouldn’t mind playing with the same people over and over again (different maps of course) since after rounds during the “finding players” screen is when i have the majority of my connection problems. rather than having to quit the game to reconnect yadda yadda yadda.  i dont care if the teams are unevenly matched or not, at least i’m playing the game and not spending most of my time trying to find another… if you can’t tell, i just wanna play the game, not really into the stats, medals and malarky

So, that’s 2 more cents ND, ya’ll owe me $.04, i’ll take cash (exact change only), or just a check made out to CASH, whatever’s easier…

jsgamer60 posted November 22, 2009 5:09 am

I have the platinum trophy. No matter how my router is configured I can not stay connected to the server which causes me to be penalized. I love the game, but multi player is no fun to me if you can not advance in level’s. ND thank you for a great game, but I will be trading this in.

VibeVitor posted November 22, 2009 6:08 am

I had 40K deducted because the matchmaking put me into a coop Arena by myself and then once the map had loaded I was kicked out. Next time I turned on my PS3, I had the penalty. I had no other connection issues that day so it must have been because of that game.

While I don’t think that the diminished community is a result of this penalty (MW2 being released recently anyone?) and think it’s not a bad idea, the fact that it will unjustly penalise people for issues with the Matchmaking system is frankly ludicrous and really needs to be fixed.

I’ll keep playing as I love the game (and am desperately hoping for some Coop DLC...) but this seems like a pretty big problem

JayLowe posted November 22, 2009 8:52 am

I agree completely with PeteX19 - and it’s a real, real shame that ND are currently being so stubborn on this issue when so many people are voicing their concerns about it.

I’ve watched all of the bonus bits of material that came with Uncharted 2, about ND and how they’re a small, close-knit community who love to make fun games for people - well I’m sorry but, as much as I love you as a company, you’re wrong on the $40k issue and you’re not making the game fun - you’ve turned it into a huge turn-off.

Yeah, fair enough, punish those who CHOOSE to quit the game - but don’t punish those who receive Connection Errors through no fault of their own. If it is a person’s Internet connection that’s the problem, well that’s fair enough and that’s their fault - but personally speaking, I’ve lost money due to problems at YOUR end, where the game has froze and I’ve been taken back to the results page for the two teams. Why should I be punished for YOUR error? It just completely ruins it, because I’m not willing to spend hours earning money just for you to take it away from me for no reason.

It’s ok saying you don’t receive the penalty the first time, but when it happened to me, I had two games on the run freeze - causing me to get a penalty, even though my Internet was completely fine and connected the entire time.

I hate to moan because it is such an awesome game, probably the best game I’ve played in my life, but surely there’s a fairer way to issue penalties? Such as if there’s a Connection Error or the game freezes, don’t allow those to count - only if a player quits via PSN as the game is loading, or if a player chooses the quit option midway. Because surely there’s got to be a way of differentiating between those who choose to quit and those who are innocent...?

JayLowe posted November 22, 2009 8:56 am

I’m probably getting ready to jinx myself but I’ve logged in over 73 hrs of MP game play and this morning I even had 3 or 4 matches in a row were everyone in the room had 1 bar!

And one of those players was even in the same city as me!

Now, I froze a multitude of times, I wasn’t having much fun, but I never ONCE got bumped from a game.  (A reboot of my rooter and modem later and I was back to as good as new.)

Honestly, I’m not sure how people are having legitimate problems staying connected over the course of one hour…

Granted, I don’t think the system is prefect.  I personally would like to see the penalty removed from deathmatch (because why should your teammates be penalized if your K:D ration is sucking so bad that you want out.  Or if you have a ‘legitimate’ drop.) and have it only in place in the more ‘team based’ games like Plunder, King of the Hill, Chain Reaction, etc.

Anyhow, Arne (and the rest of ND), its good to see the site get updated more regularly again.)

Naughty Dog, I feel you are right making a penalty of quitting a match, but you should seperate the difference between quitting matches and getting disconnected from them. I do feel people should fix their connections but not everyone is able to. I just don’t want to see the game lose dedicated players because of this issue.

It’s very good that players don’t get docked any cash from leaving the game the FIRST TIME. But getting disconnected from the game happens often and even though players don’t lose any cash the FIRST TIME they will probably a few hours later because players get disconnected from the game freuently.

Hello.. In the past i’ve been plagued by the 40k penalty due to either my connection dropping, game freezing, or someone quitting in co-op.

The penalty is not working.. People are still quitting and people will still quit and leave all the penalty does is punish innocent players that do not wish to quit.. about a month ago when the penalty ssytem was first introduced it said the only people that would get the penalty was people that voluntarly quit people that lost connection, people thats game freezes and people that are forced out of a co-op game cause someone leaves gets the penalty also and that is not fair!

I have since quit uncharted 2 as it is completely unfair due to me losing a rank and 40k about 3 times.. Only time i will play uncharted 2 now is when their is double xp or when the DLC comes out.. I have no real reason to play since MW2 came out about half of the U2 online community went over to MW2 and you guys at ND aren’t trying to do anything to get your fans back and new fans also..

The only real solution to the quitting/losing connection problem is to re-create your system like the one in call of duty series where when someone leaves they can be replaced.

kroete69 posted November 23, 2009 11:31 am

Everythin is said in the above comments. I add only this entry, as annother statement to show ND that this is not only a problem of a few bad connected guys!

Please ND, do something, or you will lose anntoher U2 player.

Damn ND… this is BIG.  I dont personally have any connection issues, but you got to just take it off. Just get over yourselves and admit it was abad decision. Change it, i dont want my favorite mp game to become a ghost town. PLEASE! i wanna keep owning thousands of different noobs… not hundreds. or why dont you reduce the penalty, say 5k thats reasonable. IM SAYING THIS AND I NEVER GET PENALIZE

What’s to stop people switching off thier router/modem? You can’t distinguish a valid connection error to a fake one, people will abuse it and we will be back to square one.

RJBrian posted November 23, 2009 5:41 pm

Penalty Question: How does it actually work? I know that you don’t loose any cash the first time you quit & every time after that its 40k, but is that for total game play or does it restart every time you log in?  Just wondering, thanks.

PS. U2 ROX!!! smile

All2000 posted November 23, 2009 7:18 pm

Men you should know that ND has no time to read this UNORGANIZED blog!

They are just groggy looking at the wall where they think they can stick a “Game of the year” award.

Are they asking us to vote for U2 and ND award?!

Sure! All of us should give them a 40K penalty.

thanks

I just posted this up at N4G and a couple people liked it so I thought I say it to you guys

I say if you quit, you can’t start another game till the original game you joined ends and lose any points you earned in the original game.

but my original comment was

“I can see both sides, I say if you quit, you can’t start another game till that one ends, lose any points you gained that match, and have to eat bull testicles.”

All2000 posted November 23, 2009 11:24 pm

I don’t think that will fix it…

That means One will be kept out of the game 30 minutes plus just because connection drops; MEN!?

1. People should be permitted to leave a match at any time they want without penalty;

2. The ones that leave it will lose all points earned on that match;
And by that reason …

3. The match shouldn’t be dropped; instead should be presented to the players an option to “vote” if they want drop the match; if team decide to drop it then they should keep all point earned and start a new match right away; so no penalty for anyone;

4. ND should consider let people join at the meddle of a match;

5. ND should “STOP RIGHT NOW” the penalty system; because what make a ND a game awarded dreamer is all of us; and we all are kindly asking for that.

Thanks

I guess I wasn’t thinking about Co-op games, maybe than a timer that adds a certain amount of time every time you quit, so if you quit a few games, at first it is not bad but if you keep quiting it will add up to minutes of waiting to play again. I think people that quit because they are losing do need to stop, I understand that a drop in out would fix this, but I also see flaws in that, and, call it a hunch, I think they would have a hard time implementing a drop in out feature, not saying I am correct, just me speculating. I play team deathmatch and its sucks when you start a game up and the score gets to 20-5 and than 2 people on your team leave, now if they did implement a drop in drop out feature, I would hate to join a match for very little game time, only to lose and ruin my stats. But I do see both sides to this, and it sucks that some players are being punished for having legitimate reasons of leaving.

I have to say i’m not bothered with the 40K issue. I played UC online since it came out and i only had 2 connection errors, for whatever reason.
I’m glad it’s there because it targets the players with bad connections. I’ve seen strange things happen due to enormous LAG and mostly, those laggers didn’t finish the game.
Playing people from China or Brazil has been the worst so far as the drop dead with a delay of about 2 seconds!! No chance to melee in that case and even if you try, you’ll both die. THAT! is an issue i’m concerned about.
The 50K Cap should also be removed in my oppinion. I don’t want a game to limit my speed of process. I could easily do 150-200K on a good round, so why don’t you let me?? I don’t cheat, i don’t lag, i don’t glitch so why don’t you let me get the points i’m capable of getting? Nah, rather than that, you have me playing to 60 Million points in Slow-Mo.

Overall it’s really brilliant game and the devil’s in detail guys. Since MW2 came out, you have an average of about 5.000 players online whilst before it’s been like 9.000.

Don’t let us down on the multiplayer!!

I have to agree completely. I know these complaints are probably falling on deaf ears at ND, but I will add to the list of complainers. I haven’t touched the online portion of the game since I got hit with the penalty. It is completely demoralizing to play 3 or 4 matches, only to have all your hard work raped away from you, because of one bad connection to a host, and or a life emergency that requires that you quit. I payed 60 dollars for this game, and I can’t decide to leave a match at my own leisure. It’s just terrible. I’ve been team killed with grenades etc when you find yourself on the losing team. It’s just. So. Terrible. Please retract the penalty and allow people to quit if they like. :/

What the ****!?

Are You really confident?!

Are You keeping a close eye?! …Or just keeping the eyes closed?

And what about feeling? Aren’t you feeling it yet?

I said and I’m telling it again

People should be permitted to leave a match at any time they want without any penalties; it’s a Right we have and we don’t give it up.

I am supporting ND for the penalty system. Gamers are free to leave games if they want, but there must be a system to deter them from doing it. Now if they have to leave, they should be clever enough to understand, and to calm down. It’s only virtual money !!!

clone555 posted November 25, 2009 3:33 am

It’s not just virtual money, it is central to the whole MP experience. By earning cash, I can unlock boosters. better Boosters (if used wisely) can give me an advantage that leads to more wins and (because we like to win sometimes) more fun! Progression of both skill and unlockable advantages is a core component of the Uncharted 2 multiplayer experience.

Also, taking that much cash from new players has an even bigger impact because they may earn very little per game. So new players are punished even harsher.

Maxim9 posted November 25, 2009 8:51 am

Clone555 your point is right also!! I think cheating is a difficult and important point to face. Maybe 40K is too much (especially as regards new players). However ND is doing a great job, and there are trying to find a solution. It is a really good start from them, and I just wanted to point out that people should just stop (always) complaining about the penalties and just play. Rather than complaining about the 40k, people should complain about gamers who are always searching for new ways of cheating.
That is why for the moment, I prefer the 40k penalty than nothing.

PeteX19 posted November 26, 2009 4:48 am

How is ND finding a solution

Arne
‘Currently we’re confident we’ve made the right decision regarding penalties for leaving the match’

That sounds to me like they think they have found the best solution.

I would prefer an update which removes the 40k penalty and glitches that cheaters exploit than a fat drake. They are both equally important as far as I’m concerned.

Leaderboards and a new map are a good improvement I must admit. Its a shame people have already traded the game in or won’t play the game because of the 40k or glitches issue.

Timmay_86 posted November 25, 2009 3:12 am

As much as I hate when people leave the game before the end of the match, I also believe that the 40k penalty is too much. I was given one of these because I left the game, but I did not leave because I was playing badly. I left because I couldn’t play at all. Sometimes the game freezes out my controls so I can’t do anything except sit and wait to get killed. This is not enjoyable. Strangely it’s only these controls which are affected, I can still use the menu. Is this a common problem?

clone555 posted November 25, 2009 3:27 am

Timmay,

It’s a problem reported many times. I believe it is caused by network lag but ND have made very little comment on the issue. I’ve experienced it many times, though less so lately.

It’s annoying because the lag may actually be due to the host having a laggy connection, and not your fault at all.

This is another common reason people leave games, and ND have ignored the issue and instead they give penalties…

Andre604 posted November 25, 2009 11:53 am

ND,
Has anyone reported sometimes after respawning, blind fire doesn’t connect even if I’m standing right next to the guy I’m shooting?

wheskeydean posted November 25, 2009 12:38 pm

I have a wired connection that i have to drag from my living room to my bed room. I also have a large dog that stays inside. 3 times last night, my dog tripped over the cable and i got disconnected....as far as i know I haven’t lost any money, but i don’t like the idea of losing money for something like that. I also WILL NOT pay for a wireless router just to play your game online, as much as I love it. I won’t stop playing the game either, it is the best game on the market, but if this continues i will definitely be playing multiplayer less, as i could see losing money getting very frustrating. Maybe you could change the policy to something like this: if you leave a game 3 times in one night, then you lose 40K. That seems a little more reasonable. Anyway, i hope you put the baseball jersey drake up as DLC!!!!

wheskeydean posted November 25, 2009 12:39 pm

Wait a minute. Before people were complaining about people leaving during matches. ND implements the 40k penalty to fix this. Now people are complaining about that… Now I’ll admit that I have not been stuck with the penalty, but ND can’t please everyone. Maybe if players could somehow join late to fill the spots, but if I lose 40 grand, I’ll just earn it back.

Hi Naughty Dog!

Well, I am connected to the internet via a wired DSL modem (need to switch it between my computer and PS3), and 2 nights ago found myself in a situation where (for the first time in a long while!) my modem would drop the connection on me and like 3 times in a row. I didnt’t think of it being a biggie, eventhough it annoyed me because I would have liked to get my earned points because I LOVE TO PLAY IT and RAISE MY LEVEL! I NEVER drop out of a game intentionally, NEVER, you hear!?!? So, after I got re-connected I gave it another chance, but after awhile got disconnected again (I don’t know but that day I obviously had a modem issue going on!) and got a 40.000 $ penalty plus a downranking!! And optimistic as I am I thought “Well, won’t happen again hopefully” I gave it a last try and got shit again! End of story: lost 80.000 $, got a downranking of 2 (dropped from 24 to 22) and quit playing the multiplayer. And since I’m trough the singleplayer 3 times already, got 100% of the trophies I seriously think about giving the game away since I don’t see any reason to play multiplayer anymore if I have to be afraid everytime I play online my hard-earned $ and ranks are treated without any respect by you. Great game, but your penalty system is the MOST UNFAIR shit I have ever seen! Karsten from Germany

PS: Sorry to all the users on here for that long story of mine

What about the people who glitch, there are still glitches in the game that have not been fixed, the NOOBS who uses them. What about fining those people, set their skill level back to level 1 !!

C’mon Naughty Dog here is PROOF of people Cheating yet there is no action on you behalf.
You fine people for leaving games, if the NOOBS did not glitch maybe they have no point in leaving.

You fine the Innocent !
-Bad people hosting the game and then get dropped.

-Game freezing at the boosters screen. Have to reset.

You are loosing the Multiplayer experience to --Modern Warfare 2--

Listen to the people, reset the cheating ‘NOOBS’ skill level back to 1 that will fix them.

Otherwise what is the point of playing anymore.
