We just recently pushed live updates to many of the multiplayer maps in UNCHARTED 2 as part of our continual effort to prevent exploits from being used.

We just pushed updates to many of the multiplayer maps in UNCHARTED 2. The updates include steps to prevent the use of exploits, such as glitching out of a map, which prevent unfair situations in matchmaking.

The next time you connect to multiplayer, the updates will be synced during the connection process—this is not a Title Update to UNCHARTED 2.

We’re working on another similar update for more maps that we hope to launch in the near future.

Thank goodness. Thank you for spending time to fix bad multi-player experiences. People that use glitch exploits ruin the great experience the rest of us have in this game. It is great to see a company stand behind their software. Kudos.

just letting you know that after the update to fix glicthes there is a new one on high rise map up in building behind billboard where u can glitch into wall. you can thank on line name gloomcool for cheating during that game.

It seems to be working now, perhaps it was an issue with people having had their game updated and others not yet back then.

If it happens again I’ll post on the forums.

How often do you guys check the Technical Issues category?

No, we’re being deliberately vague here until most/all maps are updated so that people who choose to glitch/exploit don’t try to abuse the system and mess up other people’s game experiences to get around our changes.

Hey Arne, over the weekend I was “invisible” to the opponents while running around on the map. I was accused of glitching and I WASN’T! it was at the start, then I “Appeared” after about 8 kills. Numerous chats came my way about cheating. I tried to watch the cinema of the match and locked up my PS3. This is the 2nd time it’s happened on my “behalf” and 1 time against me. Has anyone else reported this? Personally I hate glitchers and being accused of being one!

Arne, what happened to twitter support with the game? I searched the forum and didn’t see any posts about it being removed. Nothing on twitter about it not working. Am I missing something?

Yay for glitch fixes. I know what map they were on because some asshats decided to use them against me several times. -_- I’ll post if someone still manage to exploit them.

Thanks for the constant fixes / updates.

Are you aware of the Facility co-op survival “exploit”? You need one person near the grenades to cover one side, another person covering the narrow stairs on the other side and you can win easily. It was sad how easy it was.

Also, I’ve never had Siege come up in rotation even with DLC sorting selected.

Thanks for addressing the glitching.

Are there still more things in the works in terms of updates or DLC?

One big thing I’d like to see are more items to purchase in the store. I honestly pay zero attention to my cash because there is nothing to spend it on.

More store items would be awesome...maybe a Golden Skeleton that costs like 5 or 10 mil...or some new boosters to buy....Something to keep people interested in earning cash and playing multiplayer.....

Just think, these glitches could of been fixed a LONG time ago, if only you had just spent time on them rather then the vast amount of time you spent breaking your own game and then trying to fix it.

Not to mention maybe we would have a fix for the THREE BOOSTER GLITCH which has been known by you guys since around launch. Also corner shooting through walls which has been known as well.

so true, glad they finally fixed some of this. Although last time they had said they fixed some glitches in the fort, the very next battle i got in, some lame cheater was glitching.

Anyways dont really care anymore, naughty dog did too many stupid changes, after 1.04 and as they can see, i haven’t played in ages. Hopefully whenever uncharted 3 comes out, they learned from there mistakes here.

We’re pretty much constantly updating things to prevent glitching. As I’m sure most/any developer will tell you, as soon as you close up a common or “easy” one, another one will be discovered. People who want to exploit definitely have a lot of perseverance!

This is great news. Thanks for your continued work on the game. It’s still my favorite game to play.

Out of curiosity, are the fixed holes actually patched in the update, or do they still exist but cause people to die when they stumble into one? I know at some points in the past ND has ‘fixed’ glitches by turning them into suicide triggers, which caused all sorts of trouble for people who wandered into them by mistake.

The ‘ideal’ I think would be some option in the “players met” screen that lets you block a player from being in any match with you. That way once you’ve played with someone who’s abusive on the mic, abusing map holes, etc. you could just prevent yourself from ever playing with them again. People who act like a dinkus all the time would eventually be unable to play at all.

CG, excellent idea.....Kumawar on the pc has that......(not a great game....but fun)....you ban them and they cant play in your game anymore unless you unban them.....maybe ND should check that out and add something like it to there games.

ND i have a problem when i got to my stats it says that im lvl 49 and i have $0… when im really lvl 50 and i got a bunch of money, i think this all started since i bought the siege expansion pack (wich is OWESOME!!!!??!?) and i think this has happend to many players, i hope you can fix this ND…

I trust that your still working on tweaking the plunder spawns?

While the DM respawns are decent enough the plunder respawns can still be terrible, spawning between enemies, or too close to enemies.

I just bought this game a few days ago and I’m glad to see that there is an active community behind the multiplayer. I was worried there wouldn’t be a lot of people playing it. I’m having a lot of fun with it so far.

You’re being deliberately vague as to which ones you’re fixing eh? Hmmm. The only one I can think of that still has an out of bounds glitch that people regularly exploit is in THE PLAZA. But maybe it isn’t THE PLAZA, maybe they’re fixing the ones in THE MUSEUM. Not many people play THE MUSEUM and know of the glitches though, so my money is on THE PLAZA. Yeah, THE PLAZA isn’t really fun when people glitch on the wall near the hammer, but then again the joke is on them, because there’s no way out except for suicide and the people who glitch just do so because they suck at the game anyway. I’m sure happy THE PLAZA is being fixed.

hi Arne, Just to let you know, they can glitch in cinema mode too :D I can easily get out of map on just about every map in cinema mode (sometime without realising) and I can see everything (I was stunned by the detail you added outside the sanctuary...almost asif you still wanted it look good when exploited! (but I saw the cut-out mouantin XD)

Thank god..or dog. I am so sick of these glitchers. Please do something to ban these people. Running around all fast and you cant kill them. Pisses me off because they are acting like they are actually a good player when they are just fake lame o’s. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I still have not been able to play any other game since launch. (except for gow3) till i beat it. This has lots of playability. Keep it up!

Hey Arne, Just wondering (not sure where this goes) will your multiplayer designers going to keep the different match making settings? like “defauly and dlc”? I like that very much but if you could add this to it “Siege”, then All DLC because sometimes i dont get to play on the seige in about like 2-4 days which aggrevates me. Thx for reading this and hoepfully uou reply.

I just wanna thank ND for paying attention to those exploits and fixing them however, i would like to know if the ones glitching will be sanctioned for it because I believe to be unfair if the were allowed to keep the ranks they have if they were obtained through such means. The leaderboards must definately be checked on because these glitchers have definitely skewed the ranking.

All I say is that as of last few updates people have been able to kill me very easily and my ratio now sucks. I just hope more updates come out so that players don’t have unfair advantage. And then they have to shove it in our face and all by taunting in the most foul mouthed manner. What ever happened to people and good sportsmanship?

I see nothing new, a guy was killing us inside the wall after this update at “The Plaza” behind where the Hammer spawn with the “Bandoleer” booster and Sniper, so people still glitching out of the map, what was the update gain??

1 glitch that annoyed me:

On ‘The Fort’, I was playing Plunder, and if you’re at the end opposite the end where the exploding Jeep is, next to the Plunder capture point is a glitch-able area.
If you’re next to the treasure chest here, if you go forward and jump down as though you are heading to the underground section, the person glitched into the grating/gate that you can see if you then turn around - the dungeon like thing you can’t get into, but where there’s two sets of climbable wall either side that get you near to the treasure chest.
Really annoying as the glitcher could shoot out, but was invincible, even though you could see them.

Just a recommendation for you guys. It may have been patched by now.

now stupid noobs cant glitch anymore but there is one little problem while u guys made a tweak on the update i think u guys messed up the spawning system because when ever i spawn in deathmatch there is a guy behind me or infront of me just to let u guys know.

Yeah, same thing happen to me in the fort and the ice cave. I spawn right next to three players in the ice cave, then in the fort I had two players spawn behind me while I spawn in front of them. I was shot to death...-_- I think something did got messed up with the spawns,please reply to us Arne.

Ich hoffe, das die jenigen die glitchen eine gehörige Strafe erhalten. Das ist ja sonst kein Spielen mehr gegenüber den anderen. Alle sollten herausgeworfen werden über die IP-Adresse.Sonst machen diese einen neuen Account und das war´s.
In der Mauer verstecken, und alles abschießen was sich bewegt, eine Kunst für sich. Oder die, die nicht verwundbar sind. Machen Geld und holen sich sehr schnell die X, wo andere Monate oder länger für brauchen.
Weg mit all die jenigen, die falsch spielen.
Ich hoffe das Naughtydog das auch so sieht und dagegen was unternimmt.

you start out...the game gets boring...and old...cuz after you reach a certain level i mean it just gets old...not everyone is such a loser like these guys that they can play for years and not get bored sitting around in front of a t.v...then you learn to glitch...then that gets old...then you quit...when u took out that last piece of the advancement of your game...you lost a good portion of player length-of-play...i guess you dont care tho…

There should be no way that it takes 2 shots from the hammer to kill someone! If a grenade can kill you just by landing by you, a hammer should kill you if its fired at high speed directly at your chest!

hi can you work on some glitches you patched because you can still use them if you try like 20 times like in the ice cave.Also theres a few very minor glitches that i know and not many other people do but i never use them online.oh and theres only one time you should glitch online and thats is to brutaly kill a glitcher then get out of the glitch.
