Naughty Dog is traveling across the country to attend PAX East this coming weekend. We couldn’t be more excited to fly out and participate in this inaugural outing of PAX East and meet our fans.
The PAX East schedule is looking pretty awesome with a ton of great panels and sessions every day. We’re looking forward to our panel on Saturday evening, where we show you a little bit of how we do game design at Naughty Dog. Be sure to show up early as sessions tend to fill up quickly!
Naughty Dog LIVE – Game Design with the Dogs
Naga Theatre
Saturday, 4:00pmCome take a peek into how we get games made at Naughty Dog. Three Naughty Dog game designers hold a game design meeting right in the middle of PAX East to tackle the challenge of developing a new gameplay sequence in the UNCHARTED universe, and to make it work for both a single-player campaign and multiplayer modes. We’ll take you through the same highly collaborative, iterative, no-holds-barred design process that went into UNCHARTED 2 – hear us laugh at our own ridiculous design suggestions; check out our terrible drawing skills; witness us engage in, er, “friendly” debate as we overcome challenges! We’ll also take this time to pull back the curtain on what it was like to design gameplay for UNCHARTED 2 and answer questions until we run out of time.
Panelists Include: Richard Lemarchand Jacob Minkoff Justin Richmond Arne Meyer [Senior Community Manager]
I’m sitting in on another panel that is scheduled for Friday, March 26. It’s also a behind the scenes discussion, but of a slightly different topic we hope you find interesting—although we have some stiff competition coming in the form of the Wil Wheaton keynote during the same time slot.
Puppet Masters - The not so Invisible Hands of Video Game PR
Naga Theatre
Friday, 3:30pmFour masters of video game PR talk about the role of public relations in the video game industry. They’ll cover the buying and selling of souls, crafting and controlling messages, the rise of community, and how social media is changing how they do business.
Panelists Include: Charles Husemann [Editor in Chief, Gaming Nexus], Arne Meyer [Senior Manager, Marketing Communications, Naughty Dog], Aram Jabbari [Manager of Public Relations, Atlus], Stephanie Tinsley Schopp [Owner, Tinsley PR], Chris Paladino [Promethium Marketing, Director of Community Relations]
Don’t forget to check out the PlayStation.Blog meet-up at the Colonnade Hotel on Thursday, March 25—the day before PAX East starts—in case you’re already in town by then.
We hope to see you there and we’re really looking forward to meeting more of our fans!

Sounds like we have time to goof around a little bit, and then time to go to these conventions. Nothing can be done about the game at the moment though. All we care about is publicity while we could be working on the game even more so that we can have a better system ready for UC3.

I still want the vets of this game to get an anwser on when we can get our own playlist with our health back, guns and the damm gernades just the way they were just the way we loved them, 5 of my friends have fought over the #1 spot in kills and wins and the other 60 were ranked #200 and lower in kills and wins we had been playin this game since the beta . we all preordered and spent most of our free time rippin sh it up on uc2 now were all playin bbc2, mw2,ect because they all out due this once thought of multiplayer insta classic , now its just yea it had a cool single player mode most of the ppl on here came from mw2 and they couldnt adapt to the higher health mainly cause they were use to hideing in bushes and noobertubering someone in the back, i play mw2 and it sux i sux at it i have a 1.14 kdr and i dont camp but i can adapt to sitiation cause i got skilled thumbs and im not a dumbass that wants things easy. i loved the old uc2 because you had to out wit the other teams by useing your maps to your advantage so you could get the bbq , kick offs, ect. im on strike ND i dont wanna play and wont the reason we player in first place because it had originality now its just like every other game but worse… COUNTRYCLOWN

naughty dog i think you should leave all the maps and dlc free. this is because most people in the ps3 dont have that much money for this expensive dlc. i’ve been wanting to have this new dlc’s but i haven’t had the opportunity because of the money. and this goes for a big percent of people so please naughty dog make the dlc’s for free....

Are you shitting me? They cost nothing! I am not rich. And you do not need to be, to get the DLCs. How can yo complain about the money, lol. Why would they make DLC for free, they get nothing for it. You ahhhh I get so angry, sorry bad English.
