New MP map, Leaderboards on the way

We have a great update for all our fans—a NEW Multiplayer map, “The Fort,” and Multiplayer Leaderboards are coming your way by the end of this week!

The Thanksgiving holiday is nearly upon us and we’ve cooked up a little something at Naughty Dog to give thanks to all our fans. We’re pleased to reveal that, as part of an update to UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves later this week, a new Multiplayer map will be available for all players at no cost. That’s right, the first downloadable game content we have made available will be FREE as a gesture of appreciation to all our fans!

The new map is called “The Fort” and is a throwback map – it’s based on the “Fortress” chapter of UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune. The Fort is a long rectangular map with wide open spaces and excellent flank routes. Can’t take on the enemy head on? Take the tunnels into the basement to get behind the opposing team. There is a shotgun in the center of the map, but look out for people climbing up from below to pull you to your doom. Pay attention to the side room in the crypt, there is an RPG that is ripe for the taking.

“The Fort” will be available in all Competitive Playlists and the Co-op Arena Playlist!

In addition, we’ve added a couple new features to the Multiplayer menu – Leaderboards and a player card. You will be able to check out how you stack up against your friends or where you stand on the Global stats in the following real-time Leaderboards:

Competitive Wins
Co-op
Kills
Money

As you hop from match to match, the new player card will provide you with a instant snapshot of your vitals: level, competitive wins, kills, money, co-op points and your current booster loadout. More screenshots of the Leaderboards and the player card are in our Flickr gallery.

We can’t wait to get all these updates in your hands in the next few days and see what you think.

Oh, and don’t be surprised if that’s not the only delicious thing we’re doing for you this weekend…

Also more “Skins” like why UK get some different characters, I want those 2, really.

ALSO, Medal money should be changed some PULL DOWNS and AFTER-LIFEs ($100 or 200 per) shouldn’t get the same medal money. One is ez ass hell other takes finesse or a NOOB. Also when you pull down someone let the icon be: a hand coming up and a body fall in air or a hand on a shirt not a fist, same as a punch out, Like the rpg or Propane tank a Pull down should have it’s own icon.
Those are little things but would be appreciated. This game is made for “SMACk TALKing” PULL DOWN icon would be awesome like the BBQ icon let everyone know he got YANKED!!

i’d describe it as FANTASTIC!… you guys in naughty dog have REALLY made an impact in the game industry with this uncharted 2, now everyone just can’t talk about PS3 or action-adventure games without mention uncharted 2… is awesome that you already started with the downloadable contents, an i was even more surprised that it’s gonna be for free...it’s great!!! THANKS!

it would be awesome if i could play it.. iv’e only got the chance to play three times since Friday and you can only play it in all competitive mode i wanted to play it in objectives i hate getting stuck playing 15 minute sniper and pistole matches and i don’t even get to play the map i want?? getting this map is getting to be like winning the lottery… (almost impossible) help ND help

Thank you for the new Map. It´s really very nice. Very nice light effects in the down area.
BUT: The double cash doesn´t work. Ingame the money is shown double, but in the summation at the end of a game you get only normal cash!

Hey ND or anyone else, i encountered problems connected to the multiplayer after downloading the update for this. It now tries to connect for a long time then stops and says error synching models, does anyne know why this would happen?

Freakin’ Naughty Dog. You did it again!!!! You guys just keep upping the ante on value, quality, and just sheer entertainment value as regards gaming. Thanks for the addition of the new map and the donut characters, which are hilarious. Thanks again for supporting a phenomenal game and respecting your fans enough to not just throw lame little additions. Keep up the AWESOME work!
P.S. Have you considered a Do-naughty Dog character?!?!

ok the weekend is over and thanks 4 a great map. could i ask that you give one more free map or 2 for christmas. uncharted1 throwbacks. cave and jungle etc 2 great choices.(put the west and sas shotgun in one of the levels im asking 4.(skins skins skins)eddie gab etc. one thing i don’t like is see 4 dargons and a sark vs 3 tenzins and 2 sullys. more skins. ND thanks so much 4 caring about all of us and taking are ideas and puting them to work. i read some guy asked that the heli in plaza blow up a wall to get rpg great idea.and to the people who say they get kick 4 no reason try not to kill your own teammates dummys.(you got kicekd)i forgive alot but kick some times. one last thing to think about . a 3r slot for busters. the choices could be things that no 1 really uses .crapy ones like faster with roit shild or break up etc. a few choice that are more like a small help . what do you think. thansk ND

what a sham this weekeend haz been a ton of ppl didint get double cash on medals. also ur limited to 50.000$ per match. so when u get past lv 50 and u need like 3 million to lv up. ur stuck to making 50k a match. also that makes the new available boosters usless. whats the point in making money if it wont count? so thanks for nothing nd. fail fail fail.

Naughty Dog, you guys are awesome! You consistently work to make the game better, and this proves it! I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, though, but can we get more maps, please? Even if they are completely taken from the single player. Can you also maybe remove the docking money for leaving a game feature, please? I was playing a co op game with 2 other people and 2 of us had to wait on the 3rd person to come meet us at a checkpoint. The person never came so we had to quit (I wanted to play more of your amazing game, not wait around and do nothing!) I honestly waited quite a while until I left. Long story short, I lost money for something that wasn’t my fault. Otherwise, you guys rock! Keep up the nearly flawless work!

what with the lower health this weekend, people re just camping with the fal, and killing people in to taps of R1. the pistol is not as hard to kill with, but now matches only last 3 minutes because of the health system this weekend. if ND could change it back to normal, and leave and make the starting pistol a little stronger, it would be better. but every game every time i die its because of the fal. and if not could you change team death match to 100 kills instead of 50 because games don’t last long any more. But i still love the game.

Love the game, love “The Fort”, love the crushing mode, love the single-player, me and my brother already have platinum. But there is a little problem when i try to join a friend’s game it says “Unable to join party” even though they invited me like about fifty times!!! :((( Can you fix it please. Did i say i love the plunder only.

THANKYOU NAUGHTY DOG you guy’s are an amazing team of developer’s I own this game and also bought modern warfare 2 and I just kept playing it and thn I heard of this new map in uncharted 2 and it just made me get out of MW2 and come back to it. I came bk to uncharted 2 as I’m really pleased with the new DLC map and tht too for free which I think is amazing I’m gonna sell MW2 and always gonna play uncharted 2 now.

I have a couple of suggestion’s I’d like to give which I think would be great for all of us uncharted 2 fans.

NAUGHTY DOG - Like this new DLC map you have added and got us out of MW2 in the future I really hope you guy’s can make more amazing map’s like this please. using idea’s from the story mode would be awesome like here are a couple of my idea’s:

1. uncharted 2 among thieves chapter 4 = online multiplayer in the jungle would be awesome hiding behind tree’s climbing on top of some tree’s and gun fire’s ,melee,explosions it will add up to some good action experience.

2. Uncharted 2 among thieve’s chapter 3 = like a deathmatch in the tukish prison/jail I think it would be good.

3. The first chapter the rock and hard place cutscene where they introduce Flynn and Nathon Drake meets Chloe that can be like in a beach online map it would be awesome.

I have only spotted some but out there in the UC2 story mode their are many places to make a map out of like,The train gameplay,The trucks gameplay where you fight them other incoming vehicles in chapter 19 or 20 not sure.

please do have a read this NAUGHTY DOG and I really hope you like my idea thankyou.

Many players know about it and use it
They goes in corner of one wall and jumping..jumping...jumping...then somehow goes through the wall and all walls are disappear
So they can to shoot in every player through the wall
