New MP skins and Dynamic Theme available on August 17

As revealed today on the PlayStation.Blog, UNCHARTED 2 gets a new batch of content available for purchase on the PlayStation Network Store on August 17 – a multiplayer skin pack and a PS3 Dynamic Theme.

Over on the PlayStation.Blog, we revealed that there’s some more UNCHARTED 2 downloadable content to be released on the PlayStation Network Store next week – a multiplayer skin pack with eight new skins and a PS3 Dynamic Theme. If you’ve been reading our community forums, you probably found out about the multiplayer skins a few weeks ago, but now it’s official and we’ve got a release date for you—Tuesday, August 17, 2010.

There’s been a ton of requests for all kinds of UNCHARTED 2 DLC up on our community forums (feel free to add more!), so that’s exactly where we headed when we were looking for ideas for our next set of multiplayer skins. After a little group decision making, we settled on these eight skins for the UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Sidekick Skins Pack:

Borneo Sullivan
UDF Sullivan
Winter Sullivan
Wetsuit Elena
Dillon
Mac

Also available on the PlayStation Network Store that day is the UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Dynamic Theme for your PS3. You can get a good look at the Dynamic Theme in action in the video embedded below.

Both the UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Sidekick Skins Pack and the Dynamic Theme are priced at $2.99 in North America.

I do agree on new maps. I Like the new DLC thats coming out, im sure going to use them. Me & a few of my friends were talking. A Borneo map would be cool to play in. If ya do make more maps lets hope they aren’t too big cause that causes campers like a mofo! xD So With That Being Said. Thanks ND for finally getting a new DLC! :D

dont get it ND ,we dont need skins right now or stupid labs,u need to fix the game.u said u fixed the respawns but i didnt see any difference at ALL and u need to fix the pulldowns and the kick offs cause the people that r gonna kick off sme,they always have the advantage and thats unfair for the person who is trying to get a pulldown so stop making gay labs arne and for godsakes just for one listen to us not ur selves cause thats y u only have 50.000 players per day when u used to have 75 .000 players

EVERYONE THE PULL DOWN SYSTEM ISNT BROKEN ITS YOUR PS3, WHEN PEOPLE PRESS THE SQUARE BUTTON IT TAKES YOUR GAME TIME TO LOAD THAT YOU JUST GOT PULLED DOWN! There’s too much going on in the game and your game has to respond to someone who could be in another country!! So please stop harassing Arne!!

Other complaints about the DLC! Naughty dog has to program the video game for 47,000 daily players!! IT takes time, plus theres 1,000,000 tiny dots giving off light! Programed to make less light and more light to complete a complete moving picture! Plus people are really stupid and unpredictible, well your really not stupid… IF YOU HAVE OTHER QUESTIONS ASK POLITLY!! OR you can message me, but you probably wont…

Vilain Skins, in co-op please! Ex: Atoq Navarro, Lazarovic, Dillon, Mac, Genghis Khan , Flynn, Lieutenant Draza, Skelzor, Chimera Hybrid, Gabriel Roman, Eddy Raja, Pinkerton, Prakoso, Dead Explorer, Platzor, Glowzor… is not confusing to play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool =D But we really want more Boosters, for high levels, like 59, 60, for example. And Taunts, the Pump it its preety cool =D Characters.. that zumbie monster thing on U1 and the ... monster in U2 xD And put Gabriel Roman as a Zombie =D xD Thanks

C’mon guys, get real. maps and skins. that’s all we’re get out of DLC packages. you should be wise to this already. the boosters and weapon increase: that’s stuff to be considered for UC3, as it would throw of the balance of the existing game. and we’re not getting any 3rd party skins, such as snake or duke nukem. only characters exclusive to the playstation 3 console are possible. and crash is no longer exclusive to playstation, so you can stop asking for him too.

There is a character (in Mulitplayer mode) that would only seem to be available in some parts of the world, she is a Chinese looking girl with black hair and yellow top, why has ND only made this character available to some and not others?

Why do i even comment on here anymore. Anyone who says Naughty Dog listens to its fans are simply Naughty Dog fanboys who eat any crap that Naughty Dog feeds them. It has been quite a while since that piss poor completely misleading experimental poll that ND rigged, and STILL people beg for the original health but does Arne or anyone at Naughty Dog care? NO. Instead of just keeping everyone happy and make a separate playlist, they shove these constant $hitty updates that either break the game further or slightly rectify things added in previous $hitty updates. Naughty Dog you really make me sick with how you just alienate those of us who bought your game on launch day. Probably the most retarded thing is that you lie in almost every post! You said you were “looking into” fixing the plunder spawns. What happened? You never mentioned that since and strike down those who question this. Its sickening that you guys get so much respect yet you show ZERO respect for your fans. Naughty Gods? More like Naughty LIARS!

You should just hire a different company that actually listens to its fans like insomniac games to watch over Uncharted 3 multiplayer because you prove time and time again you dont listen to your fans AT ALL. You even said you were gonna email those of us that bought the eye of indra comics a code to download the skins for free. STILL havent gotten that email! I also hear you didnt like the vision of 1.04 style, so your vision is campers with situational sitting behind walls that just exploit the blind fire melee combo. ( which fans still say is WAY overpowered but once again Naughty Dog doesnt care) Dont set your sights too high Naughty Dog! I guess I just really want back the game i bought because the betas were so much fun. You guys are so unprofessional when it comes to supporting a game its sickening. IT WON GAME OF THE YEAR FROM OVER 30 DIFFERENT PLACES! Yet you think you must change the game completely. What the hell were you guys smokin? Whatever it was never smoke it again for everyones sake.

(with the black wife-beater) I mean we’ve got tons of Drake, Flynn, Chloe, Elena, Sully. but we dont have any Eddy variations and he’s (besides drake and sully) is my favorite character

So, as you can see in 20 matches over 2 hours of extremely frustrating gameplay, I was able to complete a grand total of 2 games with all of the players we started with. This has been going on ever since the 1.09 “update” and it just keeps getting worse. At first it was annoying, but by now it is making not want to play MP at all, much less purchase any MP add-on content. Seriously what’s the point of adding skins to a broken game?!? Please fix this! I love this game and want to continue playing, but with the way the game is running right now, it (I repeat) is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!) It’s bad enough that I’m not that good to begin with, having my ass handed to all day long by opposing team members, but to have the game itself drop players from team all the time, (to get beaten by the game itself so to speak) well . . .

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHGHGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG ND! when are you bringing the DLC out???? Ive been looking at the PSn store and it isnt there!!! Arne, can you plz tell me whats going on and if you are actually going to bring it out when you said you would!!! Ive been waiting exitedly this whole week and now im disapointed because its finally August 17 Tuesday, the date you said it would be out and its not out. can you plz tell me the real date your bringing it out?

First of all NaughtyDog thanks for making another DLC, it’s really cool and not very expensive either. But jeez guys, they are doing their best to do adds for the game, just like these ones. And you always ask for more and more. Calm down. Some comments i just saw were like:” what about new maps? what about this? what about that?” Enjoy what they are giving now. I don’t know if it’s this way that they think, but someday they will stop doing DLC’s and Double Cash weekends just because you’re always asking for more. For now, there’s a new DLC; be happy with that. Sometimes you seem stubborn.Sorry for saying that but it’s the way I feel and maybe ND too. There’s just one little thing that bothers me and other people: the grenades! They trully suck Naughty Dog. The only thing I ask you to change is the grenades; give them more power. But the rest it’s actually going well.

The skins will bea available when the PSN store updates. The store updates around 6-8 PM or 1800-2000 hours, you should check then. However, i believe that the store only updates on thursday, so everyone may have to wait two more days. Game companies submit the data to Sony and Sony updates. Sorry Arne if i took your glory. I hate the PSN update thing too.

I appreciate you guys sstill adding to the multiplayer community, but instead of making us buy skins can we buy them from the in game store by getting our levels up. Please add villins to co-op and more maps to competitive and co-op.

I always love more multiplayer skins:D I think that you should do another Playsation Heros pack though. It should include like Kratos from GOW, Ghost from MW2, Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, Woody and Buzz from Toy Story 3, and anything else you can think of. Having characters from other games or movies etc. is always fun. and i know that this guy is from an XBOX game but how awesome would it be to have Master Chief from the Halo saga?????

It would be awesome if we could play as those monster things from UDF and the snow monsters in Uncharted 2. Also for maps why not make maps that are not in the Uncharted universe? You could make a map of Empire City from inFamous. That would be awesome. Also if it is possible some new weapons. Why not throwing knifes? Why not put the crossbow, MP40, and the old P90 i beleive....whatever it was it was an old germen pistol from the single player campaign. anyways just something for you to think about:)

so usa gets them today but UK gets them tomorrow? I bought the skins pack but it doesn’t even show up for me. I have the limited edition uncharted 2 could that be the problem. New characters don’t even show up when i’m playing it just shows blank pictures/wrong pictures for other people who are using the newest skins. Maybe it’s a problem with the version of U2 that i have.
