Happy 2012! We’re starting the year off with a fresh batch of Uncharted 3 DLC content and more in the pipeline that prophecies forbid us from fully portending quite yet. Hope you’ve all gotten 2012 off to a rocking start even with all the 2012 phenomenon chatter. If not, we’re about to make your end of days talk and your UNCHARTED gaming life much more awesome.

First off, today we’ll be releasing four maps we teased a couple of weeks after the Uncharted 3 launch.

You’ll be getting the Cave, Fort, Lost City, and Sanctuary maps in this download pack. Dynamic lighting effects, new particle effects and a slew of technical changes have been made to these maps. The lighting was reworked from scratch. New textures and weather effects are apparent and freshly decorate all maps. We poured hours of development time into these maps to make them be really fun in the Uncharted 3 multiplayer ecosystem. This map pack is a taste of how far we can go to remix some of your favorite maps into a completely new Uncharted 3 gameplay experience.

If you’re a member of the Fortune Hunters’ Club these maps will be available free to you. If not, you can gain access today by purchasing the FHC from the PS Store. It’s a fantastic deal at $24.99.

Initially, the Fortune Hunters’ Club offered a total savings of 45% off the seven multiplayer packs (three character skin packs, four map packs) that will be released for Uncharted 3. We’ve kicked this deal up a few notches and are now offering 14 total packs, 7 new packs that we will be revealing as the year progresses! As a FHC member the savings for these 14 packs will be over 60%! Current membership and any new membership purchased will include all currently available and any upcoming DLC packs for Uncharted 3 as well as an exclusive Fortune Hunters' Club theme that will let you know when new Uncharted 3 DLC hits right from the XMB of your PS3.

Besides the fun new maps you’ll be playing on today, we wanted to tell you about some future hits of DLC. We have three new character skins packs coming at you next. The Rogues Pack 1 and Rogues Pack 2 will let you play as some of the major thugs and minor characters from Uncharted 3. Donut Pack 1 will giant-size some of your favorite Uncharted 3 heroes and villains.

Details on how and when the three new skin packs will be available, and what DLC is coming after that, will follow in our next blog update. We have a lot more DLC coming at you. To whet your appetite, look at the large image above for a hint to as what it may be.

We’re gonna be getting some new Co-Op Adventure missions from the villains’ point-of-view, aren’t we. >=D Awesome! ^-^

ALSO, it would be really nice to see some fixes for those damn glitched treasures in Co-op Adventure. Myself and a few of my friends have wasted countless hours trying to get:

Ring, for Skelzor
Bead, for Doughnut Drake
Wrathful mask, for Sir Francis Drake

Naughtydog!!!!! We really need the lab for u3 not that would make me and a lot of my u3 friends keep coming back it’s uncharted 2. We would wait till the exact time for that and play all night long!!!! I miss it soo much. Please bring it bak

Until you guys fix all of the issues I’m having and HAVE had since 11-1-11 (in-game audio cutting out, cutscenes freezing to a halt, treasures not registering, enemies not loading, I could go on and on and on...), I’m not buying shit!!!! Can’t even play / beat a game I paid $60 bucks for. :thumbdown

Have you tried deleting your game data and beta data if you have any. I’ve heard this has fixed a lot of problems for a lot of people. Also it may be something going wrong with your ps3, maybe not but it may not be all the game.

Now the Fortune Hunter Club sounds like the deal I’ve been waiting for. And I dearly miss the UC2 maps so this sounds exciting.

Sadly I’m going to have to ask my brother for permission about buying the club membership first because Sony wouldn’t lift the stupid sub-account promotion when the person comes of age. thanks for doubling the content for the fortune hunters club members. i was very skeptical when i purchased mine, but with 7 more packs included, youve increased the game’s longevity and satisfied a lot of club members.

Hi. i have a little problem, in team deathmatch i never been able to play in Yemen map i wonder why, im already level 40 in legacy rank. But in Free for All i can play it. Does this happen to you guys or is it just me?

HI Eric, I have a few questions. What are the new treasures for? are they part of this DLC? There are three new incan treasure sets? 2. When will the glitch regarding the treasure for Donut drake be fixed? No one has it yet. 3. Blank treasures showing up in co-op are also common what is that about?

also I did get all my skellies but a few of my friends were constantly bitten by the “Everyone gets a different treasure bug” that happens with the cluster bomb boss on Syria for the mask and the hammer bomb guy on london for the ring. will that be fixed?

Still not sure if the fortune hunter pack is worth it. I have no interest in any of these skin packs (except for Rika) as you can’t get the third booster combo with them. Adventure chapters are just not something I enjoy playing more than once so meh to that. All I want is *NEW* maps so at the moment it seems better to just wait and pay for only that content when it finally arrives . Besides the game I already paid for is still unfinished imo. No fourth legacy, very weak customization, unbalanced weapons and broken matchmaking to name a few.

Really not feeling any desire to give Naughty Dog any more money than what I have already given them.

I understand exactly where you are coming from. I guess it is because I used to play black ops and you had like what 15 prestiges? I used to prestige. Once every 2 days when I got into that. But only 3.... That is surely not enough Naughtydog. I need something to do… Something that stops me from running off to mw3 because the multiplayer is MUCH longer and efficient

ADD ME on PSN because none of my friends have any drive to complete multiplayer cos of Skyrim....
Every single game in Team objective all i get is Historcal currency, help????

im a bit confused actually...it seems to not have hit the store yet which is confusing because other people say its already out for fortune hunter club members...which kinda confused me more because i bought it and am a member but i have no links popping up or anything amazing and when i go to the store it almost appears as if i never bought it...yet its right here in my transaction history…

see if i get the fortune hunter club do i get like something tht shows im a memeber when i play u3 or is just for the psn store i love U3 and with the new maps im thinkin of buying the FHC but i dont mind if there isnt i just need a reply please thx

and also if new dlc’S come out will i be able to get them free because im FHC?

The map pack is part of the FHC, hence it’s free for members because it’s included in the membership cost. There’s nothing in-game that says you’re a FHC member but when you access the PS store through the in-game menu it’s obvious you are a FHC member.

Hey. Eric I’m. Wondering if we can be expecting some kind of date for the release of the next legacy I am tired of being max level this has been like this for far too long and I am pretty sure after my friends and I play all the maps, win some matches , and play some coop we will be done again. When’s the next legacy expected to come out?

I hope naughty dog offer new DLC map around the U3 environment such as dead cargo or ramsey ship, imagine u can play team death match bottom of the water.also i wish naughty dog extend the online level experience to 100 or higher.

Hello Eric,
I know it’s not precisely the right subject in multiplayer, but could you tell us if Naughty Dog will at all give an option to turn Motion Blur off for single player?

I bought Uncharted 3 mostly for single player and the occasional online coop adventure with my friends. But we still got no answer from Naughty Dog if single player mode will gain the choice to disable the Motion Blur that was activated with update 1.02.
