PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack trailer and NEW renders
As we were putting the finishing touches on the PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack DLC content, we started working on creating some videos we could put together into a trailer to show off the new characters you could buy in the pack. We finished up the trailer last week and GameSpot posted it on Monday as an exclusive. Now it’s our turn to post it and share it with everyone. Over on our Flickr page, we put up a brand new set of high-resolution renders of all the character skins. We got more than a few requests to put these on a plain background to make it easier to knock them out of the background and use them on fan sites, stats cards, signatures and so on. We listened—feel free to head over to our Flickr and download to your heart’s content.

I’m still mad Zeke got in over Jak
exactly how I feel! I want Jak, Ashelien, Kiera, torn and of course Sig! why not add a map as well it would be interesting playing Co-Op Arena as the Jak and Daxter Krew (pun intended)
what about crash I think both crash and jak would make awesome skins for MP
Crash is on multi-console now, and I don’t think Naughty Dog can because the crash franchise was sold on.
They could possibly make a Jak and Daxter DLC, but they wouldn’t look quite right mixed in with un-cartoony characters.
Perhaps, they would make a new Jak render, so he wouldn’t look so out of place?

Anyway, the January skins are just awesome, especially the chimera when you do the “Pump it up” taunt, whith its mouth wide open xD

maybe they will make jak skins but surely not for february 25. in ferburary 25 skins from uncharted 1 will be released: nate, elena, roman, eddy, navarro and mercenary
yeah I guess that dont look too cartoony but those ears… theyre not gonna do it. Ill beat em if they do. and I agree about the character audio, that woulda been dope but im sure theres like a thousand reasons why they didnt or couldnt or else they wouldve
stop complaining about the missing jak or crash MP skins. you should be thankful of the skins you already have. me too i’d like to have solid snake as a skin but i’m thankful to play with cole, chimera and others.

no no, not the best. uncharted it’s a game with guns and deaths i don’t think jak and daxter would fit into this world. how would you feel if i blew jak up with a rpg rocket???
yeah ok not the BEST but jak and daxter were my favorite games and i always wanted them to make another after jakX.
me, i never played a jak game but if you look the jak character, he not really fits in uncharted. he is not like a human, he’s smaller and he looks like a cartoon.

Seriously how does this prolong the life of the game? I understand Naughty Dog is trying to make bank but, for those who have actually played the games limited game types. where are new game modes?

By reaching lvl 40+ I’d be surprised if you don’t get bored by playing the same game over and over. At least all competitive modes has variety. We need more naughty dog!! bring in a 2v2 wingman mode!
ND please fix the servers for uncharted 2 it takes at least 5 mins to get in the match as well as I and some of my friends will freze and someone will kill us. Please fix this or you guys will lose alot of players!!!! Thanks

i don’t know about the rank but i already got disconnected and losed 1 skill level...and i don’t know if i win or lose 40,000$

actually i liked that feature cos they don’t make sounds while climbing walls, etc...and that will make it harder for your enimies to identify you.
I’m always happy for more skins. But I, too, wish that they had voices. No voice makes them feel only half-realized.
Plus, having voices also keeps gameplay balanced, and the Silent Movement booster relevant.

Anyway Arne, is there any chance to have the soundtrack play dynamically in online? Its too good please add it! Also is there anychance to have the dropkick and superman punch in online maybe an experiment thing? Please add those! They don’t have to be synced or anything just a straight animation like the jump. Keep up the amazing work ND!

It would sound horrible if people have mics. You would constantly be hearing one song played through 9 different mics. (If they had one, that is.)
If they wanted music, you’d have to get rid of the mics feature.
Aww! I wanted the renders to look nice last time, but didn’t really think ahead as to how much of a pain they would be to lift from the backgrounds.
One thing is for sure, Naughty Dog really knows how to make something epic!
I like that there are new skins but I am still waiting for the guardian character to be added to the MP. As well as the perhaps the crossbow.
And as for taunts, there should be 2 two-man taunts added, the hi-five and the chest bump. You would just have to be near a teammate, and both agree to taunt at the same time.
Also, can’t wait to see the new maps this month and in March/April.
2 man taunt is an AWESOME idea!
haha this indeed will be nice I always play with a friend and this would be awesome to do, but not press x and wait for other to press, just keep x pressed at the same time will do the job
I agree! I think a 2-man or 3-man taunt would be a fun extra touch. Just as long as both players have to agree to do it, to prevent spamming of it.
And the guardian would be cool to play as, but I think its too much of a singleplayer spoiler. I think it would anger (or at least annoy) people that haven’t beaten the story yet.

Im going to dis ND but I was playing a match and i got disconnected and when I went back on I was back at lvl 1, now before this I got back up to lvl 17, now I’m back at lvl 1 but I just sucked it up and started over again and now im lvl 30 and everything is all good,hope this doesnt happen again. So Ennik it is true but it only happend once to me and then the next time i got disconnected it didnt do anything.

Hey ND, I have a small annoyance with the game. If someone has the golden guns (like I got with the special UK edition), you can only get ammo for those guns from other golden guns, and not the regular versions, which I think would be a good idea.
But apart from that, the whole game is great, and I have recommended it to my friends that don’t have it.
the skins are great there should be a PS3 heroes pack 2 wit snake and liquid ocelot, kratos, nariko, ratchet and nefarious maybe capt quark that would be sweet
Why do people want other skins from other games? IT DOESNT BELONG IN THE UNCHARTED-UNIVERSE, IT LOOKS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, FEELS LESS UNCHARTED! Im glad not much people are using the skins since i loose the uncharted 2-feeling. This is not a damn smashbros/mario kart game (though i like those games)!
More skins you want? Ask for uncharted-skins and nothing else, it ruins the experience, period and nothing else!!

i fully understand your point, but you must also see that the ps3 heroes play the uncharted rules. for example: cole doesn’t use lightning and the chimera doesn’t use blaster weapons, they simply use the uncharted weapons and they also move like uncharted characters.
I know what you mean, but I think this is a one off. I very doubt there will be Ratchet and Clank skins. (Mainly because of height, size and looks.)
Maybe an Uncharted 1 skin pack, - Eddy Raja, Navarro, Gabriel Roman, Baseball Drake, Original Elena, etc. People like that.
well, an uncharted 1 skin pack will be released on february 25th with original nate and elena and also with navarro, roman and eddy. but i wouldn’t expect a baseball shirt drake, cause he was an exclusive skin for the european limited collector’s edition.
I would agree with you Harrijet minus the fact that there is walking skeletons and zombies… although “part” of the UC2 universe they kill the UC2 vibe, so I am all for more MP skins, plus it lets people show their fan colours...Resistance and Killzone being the most popular two sets of skins of course!

I may be the only one that cares about this, but is it possible to play Deathmatch Variations through matchmaking? I have never seen it once in the Ranked Playlist and I have been playing since release day.
It added a bit of variety in the beta and I miss it!

Seriously ND, that’s just BULLSHIT. FIX the damn MP before putting DLC into it. Because me and my friends are constantly getting connections errors and I get the 40k points penalty on top of that. That ridiculous.

1- IS THE FEB 25 DLC TRUE. IF IT IS CANT WAIT IT SOUNDS EPIC.

the february dlc is true. it was on ign.com. there will be skins from uncharted 1 (nate, elena, roman, eddy, navarro, mercenary) and two new maps for MP
i agree before they do ANYTHING they need to fix the connection problems and take off the 40 k wen you get that shitty connection error. i havent finished a full game in months!!! its so frustrating.
that’s really weird cause i lost my connection i think 5 times but only once i lost 40’000......
you have to go back to the main screen where you can see the leaderboards and cinema.

Here’s a list of fixes and updates to U2 MP that i request:
1. Fix an skin option for CO-OP, Would be great if we could use our own skins
2. Why dont you fix the grenade timer thing for teammates? The grenades go off just as fast on enemies and friendlies, it’s kind of dumb.
3. Yes yes, you already know that we want more DLC
but please, don’t make any Jak skins. They do not fit in U2! Instead more Uncharted related skins and maps 
and why not add more weapons like the mp40?

Their cartoony look doesn’t fit U2’s realistic environement and graphic style. They are unproportional to the other characthers too, so no thx at Jak and Daxter.
I LOVE THIS DLC I THINK ITS GREAT THAT THEY ARE DOINGT STUFF LIKE THIS AND IM LOOKING FORWARD TO NEW CHARACTERS BUT MY MAIN THING IS A REWIND BUTTON AND A FILM CLIP MAKER AND THE GAME WOULD BE PERFECT PERFECTION ITS FUN ITS BEAUTIFUL AWWW HOW I LOVE IT JUST FIX THIS AND ILL BE SO HAPPY ps i think a big sack boy and kratos would be awesome addtitions

I love the skins pack. I think it’s really a cool idea to have characters from other games all show up in Uncharted 2. Awesome job, Naughty Dog, yet again!! I still play this game online all of the time. I have never been so helplessly addicted to a game before. My favorite game of all time. Can’t wait to hear some info on a map pack!!

Love the skins ND great job, but here are a few suggestions jist incase.
1. Only add ‘modern’ characters, in other words poeple who know what a gun is*coughsolidsnakecough*, the last thing I want is to see some white caveman in a skirt sniping from a tower in The Sancuary (Kratos).
2. Only add characters that naturally fit into your games Characters model/ skeleton, I dont want to see an altered Ratchet or Crash.
Oh and to everyone who wants Jak in the game, you have to realize Jak does’nt have human proportions, his legs are shorter than a humans and his armns are longer.
3. NO SACKBOYS
But before all that please just give us a mappack
Atleast Kratos have human proportions, i’m pretty sure that ND will make him available later on when GoW 3 gets released.
Also some ‘Uncharted: Drakes Fortune’ skins would be nice.

I hate ppl who use situational awareness and think they are good.....plus it’s fun to laugh at them when their deaths are higher than their kills!

You really can’t camp in Uncharted2(for long) & you stink with the sniper & just about everything else.
well, uh, lets see. runnin around with a damn sniper is straight up stupid. Virtual suicide although some people can pull it off. The lag between shots is what balances the deadly sniper.
Secondly, just cuz you have a sniper doesnt mean anyone youre aimin at is gonna die unless they’re standing perfectly still or their head is pokin out. either way, you deserve to die to that gun if you fall in either of those categories.
finally, it is the most difficult to use gun in the game. The learning curve is somewhat steep especially when youre trying to hit moving targets. The fact that there is literally always a sniper where it spawns should tell you something: nobody uses it. which is fine with me because im pretty damn good with it (even with 6 rounds), I dont camp like an ass, and I pull some crazy shit with it. If they ever put in a crushing health mode then you can bitch about the sniper. Its way overpowered at one chest shot=1 kill on crushing. 6 bullets would make sense in that case.
currently, 6 bullets only just further insures that no one will ever pick the damn thing up and two, that almost no one will ever improve with it either, given that you get about 6 tries every coupla minutes, tops.
seriously guys, you cant complain about the sniper. it takes skill to even use it. Talk trash about the FAL if you wanna call out a cheap weapon. or you could just stop runnin out in the open like idiots. thatll protect ya from sniper and FAL. thats how you gotta learn to play when you got invalid on anyway. start practicing
