We just wanted to remind everyone that our inaugural weekend of “The Lab,” along with a Double Cash Weekend, starts TOMORROW, Friday, May 28.

We just wanted to remind everyone that our inaugural weekend of “The Lab” starts TOMORROW, Friday, May 28 at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city) and will turn until Tuesday, June 1 at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?).

Of course, over the same time, all matchmaking playlists will be under Double Cash Weekend during the same start and end times above, with an increased maximum cash per match limit of $150,000.

This weekend’s installment of “The Lab” Playlist series is 2 vs. 2 Team Deathmatch.
Parties are limited to two people only, obviously. We’ve set the match conditions to a 15 minute time limit and 25 kills. We also made sure to limit the active maps in “The Lab” Playlist this weekend to maps that are best suited for the small team size.

The maps active within “The Lab” Playlist are:

Temple
Ice Cave
Plaza
Village

We would love to get your thoughts about 2 vs. 2 Team Deathmatch after you’ve had a chance to play it – be sure to visit the 2 vs. 2 Team Deathmatch feedback and comments thread on the Naughty Dog community forums to let us know what you think.

Oh, and as we mentioned last week, you’ll want to pick a steady and reliable teammate to join you in all your 2 vs. 2 Team Deathmatch games this weekend…

I’m really enjoying the new deathmatch type, but I think that if it was made one of the main playlists, it would have to be resricted to the smaller maps, as the DLC’s maps would be to big for just 4 players

Hey, About 2vs2 do we just selct death match in the “Matchmaking” and the map lable i.e Temple will come up with a sub quote saying i.e 2vs2?

or will it be a seperate little room by it’s self?

Hum… I’m guessing there is something to be said you dogs are keeping secret. This “you’ll want to pick a steady and reliable teammate to join you in all your 2 vs. 2 Team Deathmatch games this weekend…” sounds do me that there is some kind of twist going on in this mode.

I’m curious.

They probably will after awhile, takes awhile to iron the glitches out. Hope that the spawning system is different for 2 VS 2, so that you’re closer to the action. Will kinda suck to have to run half the map to help your then dead teammate.
Either way, the lab sounds great, can’t wait!

Any plans to “lab” co-op? I would love to see increased waves e.g. wave 11 all Armoured dudes, wave 12 all gatling gun guys, wave 13 all stranglers! Another suggestion I have is for you wonderful guys at ND to unlock the boosters on co-op aswell.

sounds good but few stupid people in this game hate foreign skins and NaughtyDog listens to them.

Anyways back on topic, we obviously want 2vs2 permenantly and maybe in the future you can release more small maps for this game mode. You should also add a 2vs2 tournament mode in the game. Thanks!!!!

Nice, I already have been talking to one of my friends about this. Last day of school, right at 3:35, the online players will be dominated.

Quick Question; I know this may involve some hard coding, but is there any way to save your log in data to this site? I hate having to type in my E-mail and crazy long password. Just, you know, plop a radio button up there.

I see great things in the future for this game and site. Keep it up!

This is pretty good. I look forward to it. Any plans to to fix the spawns in Plunder? In the spawn update, you said you were working on it and now I’ve been noticing that the spawns have been getting a bit worse.. Are you working on this? Also, will there ever be an update to fix the problem with getting shot behind cover? Mostly while doing the slide animation.. This seems to happen more often when people have on Down the Irons. Or is this always going to be there like the slip and slide super glide punch and the 10 feet away pull down?

By the way, please, please PLEASE keep the $ max at $150+. In plunder I’ve gotten up to 10 Duck And Weaves. And I get real sad when I only earn a fraction of the money. And this may seem a bit far fetched, but I think you guys should play a prank on the people that use SA. Like one day if they press up their name is shown throughout the day. That would make my week. Or just scrap sit. awareness and the whole thing, most people don’t know how hard it is to use negative boosters when this jerk is camping around the corner with SA. Even worse with lagging, but thats a deadly road I’m not about to go down. To be honest,I’d rather have you guys get rid of this crappy lag system then anything else, you name it. More then new maps, more then skins, more then weapon nerfs, even more then SA! I was playing today in the Plaza and I jumped off of the top place in the heros respawn and I was in the building with the grenades and out of nowhere i zipped back to the back place just to be pulled down by this level 56 guy who had sit. awareness.

yeah i also hate these Guys who use SA. Therefore i use “AntiSA”!
By the way: I can’t understand why people want to use the “negative Boosters”. Okay i’m Level 57(you too). You only needed 13000 Kills until you reach Level 57. I needed over 35000 Kills until i reached Level 57. But therefore i have a better K/D Ratio than you and its more fun to can kill more people without “Negative boosters” Example: Yesterday i had 76 kills 20 Deaths. With a negative booster: IMPOSSIBLE

But the only way you can get 70 kills is if u play plunder for 20 min… and negative boosters just make u better, i used invalid till 57 and it felt like i lived forever...now that im a 60 all i see is SITUATION AWARENESS.. BS

dude stop showing off that u have high KDR ur kdr is garbage to me… my KDR is 1 1/2 bigger than urs and i use 2 negative boosters (invalid and half loaded) which means u suck coz u used like.... normal boosters and u got less KDR than i do.....

if u see my most used booster its Homosexual Awareness BUT i stop using it at lvl 52 coz its for n00bs and gay people.... and also 76-20 death, i got around 69-3 without negative boosters… have u ever got that amount of death on plunder? no… so yeah....

Hey I just noticed Arne didn’t post this :D oh and LOL at the situational awareness guy, that’s so sad how he’s moaning about it even though he use’s it the most out of all his boosters LOL. I started usin’ situational at level 53, but I only ever use about 3 times a match (seriously...play amatch with me and re-watch replay) because I feel noobish If I get a kill by using it, I just use it If I haven’t found anyone in ages or in situations like I know theres 3 people behind a wall comming for me. I mostly use it because I always feel more safe..like I always have a ‘plan b’. ANYway....This is 7 o’clock in england yeah? The site doesn’t work with the ‘what time is that in my city?’ link.

Played two matches before I got too frustrated with my horrible teammates. ;P Really like the mode itself anyway, I’d like to see it as a permanent gametype. Maybe together with 2v2 Elimination it could be a 2v2 Playlist?

not really a comment about this special weekend or the Lab..
but I would like you guys to add this feature..
Movement while Blind firing (not standing blind fire)..I think its more natural..

Ohh!! and make explosive expert start the game with 2 grenades :D

Yesterday I alluded to the lab and I think it’s better than 5vs5 deathmatch! FINALLY, you can play with tactics, FINALLY has to get some rest and can think, FINALLY, it just depends on how good really is.

And finally I can play with my bad connection Deathmatch! And I’m sure it affects thousands of players too!

No senseless war 5vs5, but a nice, real duel!

Maps are too big and it is just people whoring situational awareness. It isn’t really fun and I had high hopes for it. I know a lot of people (including myself) asked for it but the 2v2 sounded like the most fun so the rest (shotgun, sniper, etc.) aren’t probably going to be fun either. The 2v2 was really innovative and I’m glad Naughty Dog listened to the people and tried something they wanted, but in my opinion it doesn’t work.

I think a ‘hardcore’, no-boosters, game-type would be really cool. Boosters are pretty much training wheels that make the game easier (more ammo, better accuracy, see through walls, etc.) It would be nice to have a playlist where you could play people at their actual skill level instead of always facing people with the game helping them in some way.

On HUGE MAPS… Wow…

I’ve been doing 2 match
Guess what ? I left.

I left beacause every single player has : SITUATIONAL AWARENESS !

You should kill the guy who had the most stupid idea in the world of Multiplayer.

Add to this the Grenade Launcher and the RPG.

What’s the result ?

You cannot move. Beacause you get killed by a fuc*ing grenade launcher.

This is the worst idea I’ve ever met in 20 years of my life in Video Games.

Once you have banned the Grenade Launcher + the RPG + Situational Awareness : I’ll mayber reconsider playing Uncharted 2 Online.

Unless that, my buddies and I will never play again there.

Situational Awareness is cheating and I think it is a terrible idea… I have no idea what ND was thinking when they put wall hacks into their own game. It isn’t as easy as saying ‘Use Evasion’ either because if you want to use a negative perk or something else in the slot it makes you worse than everyone else just because you don’t want someone to cheat on you. Also one person using Evasion isn’t going to help the team as a whole… the ‘cheater’ is still going to camp and pick off your teammates who don’t have it.

The RPG/Grenade launcher however is completely fair. If your team isn’t competent enough to make it there and secure it first then tough luck. They are relatively easy to use especially when you learn the one grenade/pistol and get that down. The only thing I find cheap about those weapons is the perk to get more ammo (rocket man/launch man).

I’m against boosters as a whole (I don’t use them) and I think game developers should get out of that trend of emulating CoD:MW. Uncharted 2 could be a completely fair test of skill if boosters were removed or if we were given a ‘hardcore’ playlist where all boosters were disabled (or just remove boosters from ranked.. that would work too). Everyone would be on the same playing field and everyone would have equal opportunities to reach the good weapons on field. Wins could only be attributed to player skill, not some guy that can see through walls or has a perk assisiting his accuracy. A gametype where everyone has to remove the training wheels would be lovely.

I think it’s awesome, I won every 2 vs. 2 match except 1… but how about 6vs6,7vs7...10vs.10?? would be awesome! And could you please remove ALL boosters?? because uncharted 2 sucks with boosters.. every single booster is a kind of cheat! please answer, thank you!

uncharted 2 just mean laming…

- one grenade after another
- spawn in front of the enemy
- camping everywhere
- situational awareness everybody
- overpowered weapon laming

read dead redemption is the disappointing port for the ps3 ive ever seen ...but multiplayer is so much more mature.

uncharted got so much better graphics but laming isnt funny - im disappointed

what do you thing about a mod/spinoff like counter strike it is?

the multiplayer have so much more potential. imagine you focus this potential on one area

Umm...whats going on? Just got 1.08 update and now the lab playlist has gone and all of my friends have suddenly decided to play single player! Please fix this! And if you don’t reply to this, please let it be because your fixing the problem :(
