This weekend marks our first Co-op specific episode of “The Lab”—Co-op Crushing. This episode of “The Lab” will run from Friday, August 6, through Monday, August 9.

Welcome to a very special episode of “The Lab” as we present Co-Op Crushing!

“The Lab” is open from Friday, August 6, at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?) through Monday, August 9, at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?).

Co-op Crushing takes the Co-op Arena matches you’ve gotten used to and makes them much harder by giving you and your teammates Crushing level health. That means at about 80% your normal health, you’re a much softer target for the wave after wave of enemies trying to dispatch you in Survival or stop you from capturing the treasure in Gold Rush. We suggest that you find one or two more-than-capable teammates to get the most out of this “The Lab” variation of Co-op Arena!

The active maps for this weekend of “The Lab” are:

The Plaza – Gold Rush
The Village – Gold Rush
The Lost City – Survival

Please note, our original schedule stated that this episode of “The Lab” would have both Co-op Objective and Co-op Arena modes. We’ve since learned of an issue that prevents us from including Co-op Objective into this episode of “The Lab.” It works out better anyway since Co-op Arena does not have the selectable difficulty setting which Co-op Objective has.

Head over to the Naughty Dog community forums to post your impressions of “The Lab” once you’ve had a chance to play a few rounds. We’ll open the thread up when “The Lab” launches.

These days you always seem to manage to disappoint the fans more and more, with such bad labs where it’s hard to disappoint more you still manage. Out of the 2 labs on August I actually looked forward more to this one rather than the other, mainly because of the Co-op Objective on Crushing which comes up very rarely in a normal matchmatching. And you took that out.. Also this was a pretty good chance for many people to get the co-op trophy, oh ye that’s right, it was.

BTW: 2 Gold Rush and 1 Survival mode? You’ve got to be kidding me, are you so busy on Uncharted 3 or whatever else you’re doing that you have no time to even properly setup a worthless lab?(Not even mentioning doing a enjoyable lab).
You are starting to lose fan’s respect.

stfu u whining dickheads , i missed the nade only lab coz i was not home. the best was 2vs2 double cash and ND why does the double cash dont be every month or at the same time as the lab, HTF do u think we can get to lvl 80 without any double cash? and in new plunder whats in it for the loosing team? maybe 1k a round with negative boosters like 5k i mean wtf ND. make a new dlc with borneo or something like that and trophies and another coop map plz, but shut up and stop whining bout bad labs coz theyre getting better soon. get the lab every weekend and double cash every 2nd weekend and it would be great and 2 new weps like a bolt action wep and a smg. and the game would be great thank u…

I think you misunderstood what would have happened with Co-op Crushing—that’s a difficulty level, mostly related to the difficulty of the enemy AI, not your health level. The Lab, when originally stated with the Co-op Objective, was only crushing health—not the Crushing difficulty setting.

I see, my bad however it still wasn’t very professional of you to write that Co-op Objective will be included and then at the end saying something else. You can see how many amount of players are actually playing which playlist right? So, compared to the other labs this one isn’t doing very well is it now. At the forums there were many great suggestions towards the Lab, some even very simple to make, like melee only.

The only reason you say get lost or get a life is because you get all your money off Co-op. You have only played 5 games of actual death-match or all competitive mode. You won only 1 game and loss 4. In that time...you used the micro...and the RPG-7. [EDITED]

We’re working on that—there was some miscommunication that didn’t allow them to go out in the SCEE territories at the same time, which we discovered after the fact. We’ll let you know when the SCEE and UK avatars are available.

Why? There are so many other ideas on this forum… Yet it has to be Co-op with lowered health? Uncharted 2 is officially ruined, just like Modern Warfare 2, unless they can save it with a magical update.

it is not a secret that all of us played to much in U2 MP , and we all a lillte bit tired of the same maps, same game types , same medals etc . BUT NO ONE WANT TO STOP PLAYING !!!! WE WANT IT LAST FOREVER !!!! and WE ARE VERY ANGRY (from the inside of course) because we want MORE from the ND’s MAGIC STUFF
Most of the players all small kids and they do not understand really what is wrong with the MP and what is really bothering them ! But ND are smart and very inteligent guys , otherwise how could they create such a briliant game they know , undarstand and a WHOLE PICTURE .
Maybe with a little bit luck WE WILL GET 1 or 2 DLC before their next game ...

SO ,DEAR KIDS ! CALM DOWN A LITTLE , AND LET THE DOGS ENTERTAIN US !!! LIKE ONLY THEY , THE DOGS KNOW HOW

Maybe the only reason these labs aren’t impressive as they use to be, is because they’re developing something big like new DLC or a new game perhaps. Ever stop to think of that? lol

As for me i’ll keep playing U2 and support them anyway I can.

If not, you may have to contact PlayStation support as we’re not equipped to do full scale troubleshooting - only helping however we can.

goldzor is stupid, ut they might as well right? think wetsuit elena might might be on the way, along with winter sully, and heist chloe. that would be cool. good map DLCs would be the train station where you try to save chloe, and the jungle map every one wants

i’m a little upset with the fact that they couldnt make objective harder but i guess it wasnt their fault......hope they can fix it nd maybe put it on uc2 in the future......still hopin 4 sum new DLC......thanks ND

I’m not a fan of co’op, but try it here and there. Every time I try, something happens to turns me off. teammates mainly. you guys of naughtydog do great things. a good percent of us do enjoy co’op ( not me ) so this is only fair. @ cry babies: understand this and shut the fuqk up!! LOL. And the changes after 1.04 did change this game, it’s true. but a good player, will remain good. sucks that so many people quit, instead of giving it time. this is still the best game I’ve ever bought. everything else fights for 2nd. hope UN3 is even better.

Co-op crushing ? Totally not buying it. Don’t like it what’s so every. It’s another “co-op arena” Why can’t you bring the 65% health back? But put it in “THE LAB” or was it 75% health i forgot, but certainly i would like to see that too happen. Is it possible to put MGS4 as DLC skins ? That be PWNAGE ! I’m really dissapointed for this one .. Cyaa !

There needs to be a lad with co op crushing or not… but where you can have 5 people playing as you do in regular matches. Add more enemies to make it more challenging. I think that would be awesome, especially on the bigger maps that have some down time in between the spawn times for enemies.

Hello ND. I dont like the new title update ever since. Its even more harder to level now. I prefer the old update before this if not i dont see a reason why i should continue to play this game -.-

LOL they raise the money cap by $25,000, yet ppl complain!! lol i made it to 60 when the money cap was at $50,000! I still love this game, but the only reason i feel like quitting is because my clan and i very rarely find a challenging team. u kno, the ones the dont quit in a match

So what exactly is the incentive to play this ‘crushing’ mode? I haven’t noticed any changes, other than the fact that I’ve found players in a co-op mode. Refreshing & boring all in one, fantastic stuff.

Lacking in the imagination department aren’t we NaughtyDog? The game’s great, but why you’re wasting your time with Lab playlists like this is beyond me.

My favourites so far have been 2v2 DM & plunder pistols. If you make this playlist permanent, it’d be a good idea to remove the rubbish stuff. I don’t even mind if you include the grenades only mode for the simpletons out there, just cut the boring stuff out.

I think a Deagle only match would be superb, seeing as it wouldn’t be a boring campfest like the sniper one was, plus there’d be opportunities for some awesome streak gameplay. Plus desert eagle headshots are undoubtedly the most satisfying thing in the game. Stick in a power weapon respawn for extra lolz too. I think this would be a hit.

Naughty Dog please help. I know that this is a PSN related quistion and not Uncharted 2, but maybe you or someone on here can help. I have a very good internet connection and everything is going fine. However, about a week ago, I got signed out of PSN randomly. I can get on fine, but when i try to play a game online, (i.e. Uncharted 2) I get signed out. Also my screen has a strange yellow hue. Please anybody help.

Naughty Dog, you are doing a good job, but some of the online things ive experienced just shouldnt happen...i get pulled down when im extremely far away from them, i get killed with an Ak-47 REALLY quickly and the timing on the “Party Up” option is not accurate. It will say eg. “Frankenteen/Plunder/The Highrise/ Standard” ends in “less than a minute” im waiting for 5 minutes and my friends are still playing their match? keep up the good work tho, just make some improvements with the next update
