Welcome back to the second episode of “The Lab” in July!

I have no doubt a bunch of you will be heading down to San Diego this weekend to attend Comic-Con, but in case you’re not able to attend Comic-Con, consider joining us in “The Lab.”

“The Lab” is open from Friday, July 23, at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?) through Monday, July 26, at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?).

This episode of “The Lab” promises to be quite explosive with the Grenades Only variation of our standard Deathmatch mode. When we say Grenades Only, we mean grenades ONLY. Every player spawns with 99 grenades – that’s virtually an unlimited supply – to blow up everything in sight. Well, actually make an attempt and try not to kill your teammates. We’ve also disabled boosters for “The Lab” this weekend – it wouldn’t be much fun if just about everybody used Sure Foot, right?

End result? It’s pretty much what I said in our blog post announcing the schedule for July – BOOM.

The active maps for this weekend of “The Lab” are:

The Plaza
The Sanctuary
Train Wreck
The Village

We’ll be opening the Grenades Only discussion thread on the Naughty Dog community forums at about the same time “The Lab” starts this weekend. Be sure to leave your thoughts after you’ve had a chance to play a few rounds!

Do you know about any other double cash weekends coming up? And are they working on a new title update and Uncharted 3? Do you know when Uncharted 3 is coming out? My other psn id is bvklp4

dude its more annoying when they pump you and they have situational on, also this one kid called me a noob because i had invasion on i was like how is that being a noob you are using situational i dont want you to see me where ever i go

Ya I totally agree. No wonder people get like 20 kills a game! I usually use Evasion and Half Loaded cause you have no clue what ranks are using SA. And I could be using another badge of honor so its a waste to me. What also pisses me off is the high levels that use Downt The Irons. They should get rid of that to. Maybe keep it for the real new players but take it away for the higher ones.

you have a pistol but it has 0 bullets but the whole grenades only is lame all it is is millions of grenades blowing up at the same time. and no boosters or guns with ammo i’m playing deathmatch until a new lab comes.

There’s no rule saying you puss bags have to punch the people with negative boosters either. Nor a rule why you have to use Situational Awareness at all. This doesn’t concern you unless you use situational awareness.

BTW, in case you didn’t know level 59 and higher players, you still have Boosters other than Situational Awareness. I promise, you can still do good without it.

you have no say in this bacause YOU ARE the reason why they dumbed down this game.
ND didnt want you to cry and give up. so they lowered health so u dont have to shoot as much and ruined the best skill;ed weapon (FAL) and made niper 1 shot cause apparantly ppl cant handle shooting some1 twice.

Hey Arne, I have a great idea.
You should create a new game type that has all the previous lab matches. Because alot of people may have missed one week and want to play the lab for that week but they missed it. I know because i missed Sniper Extermanation. It would bring in alot more players. Let me know what you think my other Psn I.D. is bvklp4. And others that like the idea let me know too. This Is Simply The WORST MODE EVER!

i thought wrong about this.... its not funny its annoying i can only get 1 kill in a whole * match and i got 1 unlucky at my second try of this mode wow

ND… make UC3 please… forget bout uc2 just think bout uc3.... it will make u even more famous and it will bring back all players again to the uncharted community

its up to u if u want SA to be removed or whatever. but what you guys SHOULD remove is DTI.... its just very annoying....

I ask because when I shoot to an opposite to the body I need to shoot him mas of 20 bullets to kill it and there are other persons who with 5 bullets kill immediately, not if it is for my connection or for another thing

This is by far the best mode on ‘The Lab’ playlist so far, even better that ‘Plunder Pistols & Grenades’. It is extremely fun to play, and I think it will introduce a game mode for the less skilled to play and enjoy. It is also not frustrating for the higher skilled player as most deaths are amusing, unlike ‘RPG only’ *sigh*. This was a great idea that was executed perfectly. Kudos to Naughty Dog. Its a shame that we wont be able to play this any more as the weekend is nearly over. :(

Hey Arne! I tried emailing you guys using the email that’s in your contact info but on both Yahoo and Google said that the mail was premanantly stopped or something along those lines. Anyway I downloaded the Seige DLC pack but Uncharted 2 multiplayer won’t register it and keeps asking me if I want to go to the PSN to download DLC… What should I do if I can do anything? Thanks! And yay! I love blowing stuff up!

naughty dog you really need to fix your F in game because its turning into a peice of Sh*t Cover system garbage lag is ridiculous lower level people power is freaking rediculous guns and bullets dont affect Sh*t gameplay mechanics are going down the drain this game is basically something to play if you want to get mad. its like none of the staff at naughtydog plays uncharted because obviously they dont kno what to fix and arne do you have any say over at naughty dog becuase if you do then you need to tell them because im at the point where i threw my controller at the wall becuase of this game and if you dont have any say then you need to get smebody else answering these forums im some engouraged with RAGE!!! right now!!!!! uuuuuggggggggghhhhhh

what the * is this situational awarness bullshit just played a team of italians whoreing it to the extreme. sanctuary and the 5 little bastards hideing downstairs waiting pressing up. why the living * do i have to get to level 50 to get evasion. that should be available now im lv25 and have fing ages to put up with this crap............nd at least change it so evasion can be bought sooner to stop them seeing me then throwing a nade as i run round a corner...........horseshit

I am seriously sick of people whining about Situational Awareness! It’s in the game for a reason, is it not? If they didn’t feel it was okay to put in they wouldn’t have put it in! But as always, someone has to ruin the fun! Yes, high levels using it is pretty cheap, but let them be cheap! I have played matches against high-level Awareness users, and it really hasn’t helped them. I still killed them. So just let it be and let them be cheap! Awareness should stay, however. Grenades only Deathmatch is a pretty fun mode, Arne. I liked playing it, but it was way more funny when I meleed them! I kept on talking with my friends like, “Do they even remember the square button?” I loved that mode :D

ND what is the next lab cause this weeks lab was garbage cause i’m a serious uc2 player so when I play the lab to find something I could rack up the kills on & climb the leaderboards so this mode is a waste of time please bring back pistol plunder

OMG, there is nothing wrong with using Situational Awareness! They call it a BOOSTER, And it BOOSTS youre abillity to see others. If you’re a “pussy” for using it, then why aren’t the people who only attack from the back because they’d loose the gunfight? Really, you’re just complaining that they kicked you’re ass, because you wouldn’t know that unless they killed you.

Hola ND voy a comentar sobre el laboratorio de solo granadas no me gusto mucho porque no da casi nada de puntaje y me causo dolores de cabeza y mareos, les tengo que decir que para mi el mejor laboratorio y el que mas disfrute y el unico que me gustaria que dejaran es el duelo de solo escopetas, Saludos

I totally agree with you on Situational Awareness but something thats reallly smart to do is use Come Get Some and Situational Awareness and wait for stupid noobs to come towards you and toatally kill them! They’ll never see it coming

idk but i thought this lab was fairly fun..it was a lab to be goofy in and just do random things, like throw 10 gernades in the air and hop all over the place trying to avoid getting blown away! lol but i played 1 time this weekend then i got bored..to be honest there is really no competition on UC2 anymore! ive been playin MW2 for 3 weeks now thn went back to UC2 and everything an everyone is still so predictable..i was still playin as if i didnt take those 3 weeks off on UC2..hopefully next update will be something cool so i can go back to playing cuz as of right now..UC2 is boring and many players arent that good..UC2 MP i still believe in yu though!

OMG THEY STILL HAVNT UPDATED MY STATS!!! Fist of all sulphury i stopped using SA a long time ago and i never use depostit and my kill death ratio is like 2.58 or something round that. also i almost never used Cloe i use marco polo and UDF drake. OMG ND!!! UPDATE OUR STATS!!!

I really liked this and all the other Labs as well - this one was very funny and a good laugh. Maybe it would have been better to have disabled punching though?! And just had grenades full stop.
I just hope ND see fit to include these and future Labs as permanent options in the game soon. Since they’re only available for one weekend I play them as much as time allows, but it can become a bit repetitive, whereas to play it once in a while amongst other game modes would be brilliant. Also didn’t get to play Snipers only much so would love to play that again.
Let’s hope there’s more DLC soon ND? A proper good update - new stages, game modes, a new Co-op Objective mission, BOHs, new Medals etc… Love the game but it does need something new and fresh to maintain interest.

lmfao just checked your stats 1.05k/d overall and 1.01 k/d in deathmatch. your stats are up to date as it shows you played today. trying to big up saying 2.50 and sa aint your most used booster. tell you what add me and il show you how to play.............my k/d is actually over 2.50 hahahahaha sa scrub
