Welcome back to another episode of “The Lab”—kicking off the first of two “The Lab” weekends in July!

“The Lab” is open from TODAY, Friday, July 9, at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?) through Monday, July 12, at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?).

This episode of “The Lab” is Plunder Pistols Only. This the the Plunder you know and love, or hate (or get farm killed on) but with one, significant, difference—everyone spawns with ONLY a 92FS - 9mm pistol. Oh, and a grenade. All the maps in this Plunder variant for “The Lab” only have 92FS pistols and grenades as available weapon pickups. This puts the treasure bearer and his assailants on equal ground as far as firepower, which is just the recipe needed for some intense, competitive Plunder matches.

The active maps for this weekend of “The Lab” are:

The Plaza
The Sanctuary
Train Wreck
Lost City

We’ll be opening the Plunder Pistols Only discussion thread on the Naughty Dog community forums at about the same time “The Lab” starts this weekend. Be sure to leave your thoughts after you’ve had a chance to play a few rounds.

We are saying that you indeed at one point in time, excessively use Situational Awareness in order to make it your most used booster.

You cannot deny that you used it if it became your most used booster!!! Seriously what is wrong with you?

FudgeCake101 has dug himself into a hole so deep, that the only place to go is down.

He feels sorry for himself because he relied on “hacks,” Situational Awareness, for so long that he now is unable to win a single match without it.

And now he is using unsupported reasoning in an attempt to justify his actions. The evidence is clear and nothing he says will remove any doubt from the fact that he sucks.

Here’s my stat card by the way, which DOES NOT have Situational Awareness as my most used booster, thus disproving his original theory.

You obviously spent more time using situational awareness more than any booster and now you say “oh its a retarded booster” you claim you only use badges of honor anyway, which means that you do not use boosters at all. And if you would actually use real boosters, you would revert to situational awareness.

Whiners? Really Jager? How about cheaters? You have no right voicing your opinion when you, yourself, are a cheater. You and your friend were in two different glitches in the Fort yesterday for over half of a plunder match.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION from online play should be reserved for people like you who resort to CHEATING. I don’t care what boosters you use because you are too afraid to get out of you glitch and play.

LOL to all of you. Banning? Cash penalties? Who ever defined glitching as “cheating” it sure wasn’t Naughty Dog. They have never told us that glitching was unfair or not appropriate for online play.

About that 12,500,000 penalty, I was wondering what happens when I run out of money? I mean I do not even have 12,500,000 seeing as I do not care about making money.

Clearly, unlike you Dan5852286 I play for fun. If you suggest a cash penalty that shows that you value your in-game money, something that I do not.

I would actually love to be a permanent level 1 or even a negative level. I sure hope that day comes!

yea i play for fun but im also a serious gamer and do not tolerate being cheated by anyone. if you have no money and all your stats are reset and you continue to glitch you will never be able to buy any boosters skins weapons anything at all like you never existed. imagine you were as serious as me and people glitch you all the time because they think its fun stealing victory instead of earning it Jagar. how the hell is the game any fun for anybody but the glitchers then? because it is a glitch it clearly wasnt meant to be in the game. the act of glitching is cheating other players of their earned victory but the glitch itself is not cheating because if nobody is using it then it hurts nobody.i value my progress and since your level goes up according to how much money you have earned you should care about it. why play if you dont care about money???? everything in multi-player revolves around money. boosters,skins,co-op weapons,taunts etc. money is what matters not kill/death ratio. with 2 badges of honor you kill less people but at a risk of increased death rate. using invalid and half loaded on double cash weekends grants i believe 65,000 for 5 kills and 130,000 for 10 kills. tell me, if the game is not about skill and money then why do the badges of honor give the user a disadvantage and an ass load of money for playing effectively with them on?????? MONEY is what matters.

if people were not serious or didn’t think that a game is important in some way then the world wouldn’t have video games dude.i do not dedicate my time on just anything.i have been playing video games since the super NES and im not about to stop because people think i need a life. understand? im pretty sure all game developers were serious when making these great games we have today. had they messed around and didn’t take things seriously they never would have made this game.game developers are the serious gamers who now have the opportunity to put their ideas on paper and make them a reality. they wish for people to enjoy the game and i want to do just that so i take this game seriously and do not appreciate random sometimes players trying to annoy me.if you do not appreciate the game as i do then you should find something else to do with your time dude.

This weeks labs isnt so great because ppl just dnt give a crap about picking up the plunderthey just hav a regular deathmatch and not noticing the yellow indian treasure on the corner of their screen and dnt even think of a lab with only grenades thts only making ppl on ur team wantto kill u its bull crap how there’s friendly fire grenade kill on if u take tht off im pretty sure the game would be much more fun

I’ve gotten ‘’error syncing levels’’ wich sucks, cause now i can’t play online at all. And my lvl 53 will probably drop down to lvl 1 if it will be fixed. Cause if got the feeling that ND isn’t replying to these problems at all.....

Your * annoying and to say I have no sense of humor because I don’t laugh to what you have to say is pathetic bullshit. Before you try to follow this up HAVE YOUR BALLS DROP FIRST. Jeez. Its a great game but some people can never accept the truth. This game is getting old. The people are predictable. I’m playing MW2 but I know I’ll get tired of it someday but not anytime soon. I can say those two games are even. But MW2 is MATURE oriented. Not this game anymore. I’m in a party with someone about twice as young as me or someone who acts like that. Back to the subject, this is an awesome game and the ONLY WAY YOU EVEN GOT MULTIPLAYER IS BECAUSE SOMEONE MOST LIKELY COMPLAINED TO NAUGHTYDOG AND THEY REACTED. SO BEFORE YOU SAY SHIT. Despite the fact that grenades are part of pistols only plunder (/sarcasm on: guess a grenade is a pistol in some way??!?? /sarcasm off) I really like plunder this way and imho plunder should always be like this, meaning that I vote yes for a permanent plunder change to pistols only!

ND, keep this kind of lab in the future.
i love this kind of Plunder match.
everybody play more fairly and everybody is more equal.

i think its much more fair to everyone than regular Plunder match because the regular Plunder match, most people just like to camp and pick up powerful weapons like RPG, Shotgun, Pistol, Rocket Launcher so easy kills.

i love this lab the most, play Plunder and everyone help each others more and also its much more fair at least everyone is equal in power.

Firstly, I apologize for being off-topic: I don’t plan to talk about situational awareness or glitches or n00bs or anything like that. What I would like to say is that I really, really enjoyed the Pistols Plunder lab. There did seem to be some issues last night (got migrated several times, things seemed to be off), but overall I enjoyed the entire weekend. My favorite part was just the fact that everyone, at least from a weapons perspective, had a pretty level playing field. It forced me to concentrate on elevating my game - i.e., aiming better to get good shots rather than just “spraying and praying” or launching a rocket in the general direction. And I thought most of the teams I played with (I’m a loner most of the time) worked well together even without verbal coordination. Anyway, I really enjoyed it, and hope to see something like that show up permanently in the future - in fact, I wouldn’t even mind adding in long guns as long as there weren’t any “special” weapons (rocket launchers, shotguns, etc) on the map.

So lets be real the only real problem in UC2 is the lags an connection errors. Ive been playing since November and thats the biggest thing ive seen. Case and point are the “kick offs” an “pull downs” one can b 5 feet from the ledge and can get pulled down! IDK sometimes it might be the persons internet but most times its the UC2 servers. Other than thats all is decent, now this is my view on the 2 biggest issues people have with the game SA AND GLITCHERS! Simple reallyy, use EVASION..after i hit 60 thats my main booster, like iin ICE CAVE an LOST CITY..thats evasion forsure! other bigger maps like PLAZA an MY FAV TRAIN WRECK bothEVASION an SA are kinda pointless cuz the maps r fairly big..BTW i do tlk shyt to people that use SA i just like to do it so whatever i dnt have a problem really cuz im usin EVASION! An for glitchers its easy.. JUST CURSE THEM OUT lol AN THN LEAVE THE GAME, DUH!!! why stay in a match with glitchers just quit the game an thats it! the $40K pentalty is nuthn really yu can get that back easily next game..HEARS my stats if yall want to see, kinda outdated though, http://www.jakpro.net/u2-card/cards/hs/mario13_23.png IM RANKED IN LOW 700’s in LEADERBOARD.. just doing that so nobody can start typin shyt sayin im garbage!

Hey ND I thought of a great booster you guys could include that you guys should add & that would be a medkit booster. How this would work would be when someone dies you could heal them up like in co-op but have to get to your parner before they respawn & if u heal 5 people you get the medic medal like co-op. This would be a great booster for plunder for when your team is being destroyed by the opposing team trying 2 cap the treasure you would have the opportunity2 have some friends come back faster & protect you 2 cap the treasure

Man, did I love this mode. I just didn’t have the plunder respawn. Oh well, I guess that’s why it’s experimental! I have been thinking of a mode (10/5-person survival) that would be so EPIC to play. Those GAUs wouldn’t stand a chance against the team, (or maybe there should be a co-op with 2 teams, and most points by round ten wins? I’m just thinking aloud here, but, it could be a great mode.)

HEY! I heard a rumor that one of the lab playlist is a 1.04 weekend next month is it true!!!??? If it is, Im going to need to change my pants because seriously EVERYONE would LOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEE 4 that to happen. PS situational gayness is indeed VERY GAY.
