“The Lab” is back for our second episode in March, which sees the return of the Snipers & Pistole variation – which we recently removed from the All Competitive Modes playlist.

Welcome back to “The Lab.” Our final episode of “The Lab” in March features the return of Snipers & Pistole, a popular gametype variation we removed from the All Competitive Types playlist a month ago.

“The Lab” is a special, limited-time playlist for UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves multiplayer that is active every other weekend. “The Lab” playlist features one or more custom-tuned gametype variations chosen by our game designers to test potential new settings, try out alternate gametypes in a real-world setting or just mix things up for the sake of variety.

“The Lab” is open from Friday, March 25, at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?) through Monday, March 28, at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?).

The removal of Snipers & Pistole from the All Competitive Modes playlist was our way to try to mix things up a little bit outside of running our “The Lab” weekends. We removed a couple long running gametype variations from the playlist, like Snipers & Pistole, and added in some variations that were previously only available in “The Lab.”

Snipers & Pistole is just that – all players are equipped with a Dragon Sniper rifle and the Pistole as their sidearm. The setup is meant to encourage long range and short range battles by trying to cut out the availability of the standard weapons, which are equally effective at medium range confrontations. Of course, the Dragon Sniper is pretty lethal and if you’re a good no-scope shot and can switch to your sidearm quickly, you can be just as dangerous when closing in on an opponent or being closed in on by an opponent.

As we stated during our March schedule post for “The Lab,” we’re in the process of evaluating the timing and content of our next playlist update – be sure to continue to leave your comments in the playlist feedback forum thread.

The Ice Cave
The Lost City
The Sanctuary
The Village

As much as i respect ND
Why replace Sniper and pistole in the first place?
Especially with Desert 5???
Why bring back a mode that was intended to be permanant and replace it with a game what we once had?
At least make some changes please like No pistole or Unlimited ammo for the sniper

not gonna do it. i think this is just making fun of the fans. they take out the two best modes of the game and now they put it as a LAB? where’s the Sense in that? if they said that they are going to put the modes back in all competitive for good plus the other two hurray, for me that would give me some incentive to play again.

the path ND chose is just absurd. count me out of Uncharted 2. and i’m still wondering if i’m gonna buy the Uncharted 3 ... if they did this to their first game, not even GOD knows what they will do to the Third installment of Uncharted multiplayer ( although the offline is pretty amazing :smileywink: )

Well, lets all use our double negatives so we can at least get some easy money.. If we can’t get 3x cash or more, we can at least get 1 shot kills this weekend and get easy money right? If Naughty Dog removes negative boosters during the lab, this will be a big mistake and many people will not even play. The only reason why many of us play anymore is because of the incentives and 3x money ( when they do have it ). This game is starting to get very crappy, so we need more incentives to even want to play.

One word: LAG!
Sniper Plunder please....less CRAPPY players/Level 80s camping/glitching the treasure. Naughty Dog is the best. People complain about this game all the time, I do to. But, there hasn’t been a week I don’t get a couple matches in. God I can’t wait for U3!

This is stupid ND!

Instead of fixing the game you keep giving us useless recycled labs that only the sissies play.

At first when the game was fun and took still (1.04) “you heard to your fans” now that you turned it to a lagville,home of glitchers and BS you dont fix it.....

Prove you listen to our fans and give us already 1.04 or better new update: 1.10

Still crossing my fingers for this mode to just be put back in :/ hopefully this weekend isnt the last time we will all get to play it..

Really sick of these set “lab” stages too.. Fort was the best level for snipes and pistole.. Really disappointed about that

I would like 2 things, more money in plunder :D… and to have 2 servers, 1 for hardcore players and another one for people that have life ¬¬, I hate playing with guys that thing they´re better just ´cause of their lvl D:

What about 1 week they have something like 2 long barreled weapons. aka shotgun and dragon.
Then in the next week they would have something like desert-5 and pistole ?

Wouldn’t that make us all happy? Or is that impossible?

When will the second Behind the Scenes video on the making of the Uncharted 3 trailer be released on PSN? I saw an announcement from you guys that it would be released early 2011, and it’s been at least 3 months since Behind the Scenes #1 debuted.
