“The Lab” - April 2011 Schedule

We're looking forward to "The Lab" in April - we've got a new gametype that hasn't been seen outside of Custom Games and we're capping off the month with a one of our favorite past episodes of "The Lab." We hope you'll join us!
If you’re new to “The Lab,” welcome! “The Lab” is a special playlist we will be running for a limited time on designated weekends, roughly every other weekend. You can access “The Lab” playlist within the set of playlists found in Matchmaking in UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer. During each weekend “The Lab” is active, we’ll be running a specialized playlist featuring one or more custom-tuned gametype variations from the tons of variables we can tweak in our multiplayer gameplay settings.
Your April 2011 schedule for “The Lab” is:
April 8 - 11
Deathmatch – Crushing
This gametype variation hasn't actually been seen in "The Lab" yet - t's only been available as an option within Custom Games. For this weekend of "The Lab" you'll finally be able to earn some cash in multiplayer for participating in this hardcore gametype variation of Team Deathmatch. If you haven't been able to get a group of your friends together for a custom game before, the Crushing option sets player health at 80% of normal health - which means you and all your opponents are going to go down that much quicker when being shot at.
April 22 - 25
M32 - Hammers Only
We last saw this explosive gametype variation back in November 2010 and we think it's ended up being one of the most fun gametypes we've debuted in "The Lab." All players are armed with only an M - 32 Hammer, which all but guarantees that each match will be full of explosions and chaos! This is a great gametype variation to slot in the Sure Foot booster.
As before, we’re in the process of evaluating the timing and content of our next playlist update – be sure to continue to leave your comments in the playlist feedback forum thread!
We’ll also be hosting a new thread for every event on the Naughty Dog community forums to get your feedback and thoughts on each one of our “The Lab” events.

Looking forward to Hammers again, that was really fun and also a great way to earn a cash. Crushing health, not so sure about that one. I already seem to go way faster than I’m probably supposed to go down because of...yeah. You probably know what I’m talking about.
Would have prefered Grenades only, but okay. Maybe next month?

M-32 Hammers Only is going to be awesome! 
I wasn’t playing Uncharted last time when the Hammers was a only weapon type. So this is going to be my first time! I am exited about this!

No cash multiplier? Come one naughty dog, its obvious you dont care about the players what with not fixing your broken muliplayer since its release but with uc3 on the horizon, at least TRY to keep your audience interested. It is not like anyone cares about this game anymore anyway because you didnt listen to what the people that keep your employees on payrole wanted so it doesnt even matter. Oh well, lost another player because of your greed. Good job

Oh for goodness sake, they can’t just give us a cash multiplier whenever a player kicks up a fuss. If they did it too often, it would be pointless, and there would be no feeling of achievement in leveling up. Quoted from your comment: “It is not like anyone cares about this game anymore” - well, perhaps you’d like to ask the 37,000+ daily players if they care about the game? Quoted: “With UC3 on the horizon, at least TRY to keep your audience interested” - are you REALLY going to base your decision to get UC3 or not on the fact you haven’t been given a cash multiplier? I have no doubt there will be a cash multiplier coming up some time, but in the meantime stop moaning and groaning and just live with it.

Nice try at defending a company you dont even know but you missed the entire point of my comments. Im glad you still enjoy uc2 but until i specifically comment to you, keep your wrong analysis of my criticisms to yourself. And i apologize to naughty dog for breaking the peace on here, but it comes with the territory. I dont expect for them to care what i say but that is the beauty of free speech. Like i said in the post though, it doesnt matter.

You need to read your own writing before posting it and be certain that it makes a valid point because none of that was even relevant to what i said. And consider this ‘not directly commenting to you’ but you need to get a life other than being self-righteous over someone’s opinion that wasnt even directed toward any of you in the first place. Doodoostain, your name speaks for itself. you claim that people do not care about this game anymore, yet you come here to read an article about something happening in it right now. hypocrisy is something i lol at on the reg, broski.
you go on to attack a company, that you dont even know, that has spent millions making a game that apparently you used to play, why dont you go make a game better than this then. id love watch it fail. just sayin.

Dude everyones had a few problems with this game, me the most with all the glitchers out there but you act like naughty dog is your god and your asking for a change, there a 1st party game developer and no developer is perfect this was there second multiplayer game, 1st on PS3 there working a game that has to be better than Uncharted 2, cut them some slack were lucky they started now and didn’t take a long break after 2 award winning PS3 titles

I refuse to allow this to continue anyhow. I addressed how i felt to naughty dog and not you, LEAFBLOWER, JohnM66, MaverickWerewolf, Phyllinavs3, and TheConMeister130. I mean no disrespect to any of you so i dunno why you decided to even say anything to me but i guess that confirms that you worship and defend this game religiously, so go ahead and gain knowledge of this world but dont question others nor wonder why you are still here when it all falls apart. So because I thought you made a sarcastic comment I worship this game? I thought you were joking because so many people play the game purely for double/triple cash and not to have fun, my bad. IMO, if you are not willing to play a game without 2X/3X/100X cash, you shouldn’t play it at all because clearly it is not fun for you. Anyway, in defense of Naughty Dog, I think 30 game of the year awards is a decent stat. I have nothing against your opinion, just thought you were joking. If you don’t like the game, fine, don’t play it. But don’t accuse me of worshiping this game just because I still enjoy it and assumed your comment was sarcastic. i didn’t think someone who doesn’t like the game would be one of the first people commenting on the topic
