“The Lab” – August 2010 Schedule
We’ve got the August schedule for “The Lab” – which starts this coming weekend!

We hope the last two months of “The Lab” have been fun for all of you – from 2 vs. 2 Team Deathmatch to Plunder with pistols only to the explosive chaos of Grenades Only. We’ve been having a blast ourselves – no pun intended.
If you’re new to “The Lab,” welcome! “The Lab” is a special playlist we will be running for a limited time on designated weekends, roughly every other weekend. You can access “The Lab” playlist within the set of playlists found in Matchmaking in UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer. During each weekend “The Lab” is active, we’ll be running a specialized playlist featuring one or more custom-tuned gametype variations from the tons of variables we can tweak in our multiplayer gameplay settings.
We’ll also be hosting a new thread for every event on the Naughty Dog community forums to get your feedback and thoughts on each one of our “The Lab” events.
August has only two weekends of “The Lab” in store for all of us. They are:
August 6 – 9
Co-Op Crushing
Think you’ve mastered all of our Co-op modes? Give this episode of “The Lab” a try – we’ve lowered the health to Crushing levels in a selection of Co-op Objective and Co-op Arena maps.
August 20 – 23
No Power Weapons
Can you still dominate with the basic tools of UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer? During this weekend of “The Lab” we’ll be running Team Deathmatch but you’ll discover that all power weapons are absent on the selected maps. That means no weapons like the M-32 Hammer, GAU-19, SAS-12, Pistole, and more, will be available for pickup.

Ya I agree with you. I hate the noobs who cant shoot with a regular machine gun. I hate getting killed over and over by some one who camps with Situational Awareness and Launch Man or Rocket Man boosters. Thanks Naughty Dog

I Do agree with you on this point. But not another boring DLC, no power weapons is freaking awesome and should be in a playlist already, although i would have been much more excited 1.04 and before, because the AK now is rediculous along with the pistol. But Dont you find it sad that there are more “power” weapons in the game then normal weapons. They need a better variety on normal weapons.

You got the AK, M4, Mini Uzi, pistol, FAL. 5 normal weapons.
Your power weapons, Hammer, RPG, Sniper (used to not be one), Desert, SAS, pistole, moss. 7 power weapons, WOW ND, great balancing there.
Hell you already have a mp5 and a defender in the game. Its not like you guys worry to much about balance or change in gameplay before you patch the game so just throw umm in.

No one wants to play UC2 anymore because of all the glitches, at least thats what everyone else is saying and the fact that people still use the PUSSY booster “situational awareness”.

look you call it a pussy booster, it was put there for ppl to use, i personally don’t use it, but if that’s what it takes for some one to get a advantage because their not that great of a player so be it, I just think its funny how ppl QQ or TT how ever you wanna put it just for the simple reason that some one is using a booster that is there for all to use.

they dont got an Mp5 but i wish they had in mp, a Smg that takes little but has a fast fire rate and u move a bit faster than normally coz this game really needs an smg and a bolt action weapon and the 45 defender so it is 7 powered weps and 7 regular coz i count the sniper as a regular and the defender should be stronger than the M92FS

I have to agree with the Desert idea. Add the sniper rifle in as well to get a 50 caliber combo. I like the labs so far except for grenades only, so keep them comin.

Uncharted used to have 75,000 players per day because it was a new release before. It is like that with any game. The longer it is out, the less and less people play it. You made an unfair claim.

Agreed! i run around using mostly the stock side arm knocking down most of these high ranked pussies that are using sit. aware. and power weapons. take those away and most of them suck! PUT “NO POWER WEAPONS” into the rotation!

Yes, thanks for trying nd but I think myself and the rest of the daily players want more aggressive games, ie granade laucher lab, and PLEASE MAKE SHOTGUN, PISTOLE A PERMANENT FIXTURE!!!!! IT’S A PERFECT GO TO GAME. THANKS

To be honest MW2 is a game that should have never been made, that’s only a personal opinion, the only game i play when I’m not playing UC2 is BFBC2, that game is the only game that has the fun factor or this game and some, as for the DLC situation, I’m fine with the way the game is now, i know new stuff will come out in due time, till then ND keep up the good work. You also have to think renostheflash that there has been talk about UC3, you ever think there just giving us enough to keep or interest, while in the mean time they have the new game under development, don’t always be quick to criticize, you never know what might be around the next corner.

why not a lab “only power weapons” start out with sniper rifle and pistole and deserts m 32s rpgs sas and mosses are placed throughout the map

i think a decent lab idea is negative boosters only… and everyone talks about new maps but come on… they made 4 new ones in the past couple months and it takes awhile to make new maps… even the ideas of what to base the map off of… like maybe a map based off borneo where you first learn to use grenades or something like that
