We missed posting the March 2011 schedule for “The Lab” on time. Better late than never, right?

Okay, okay, so we missed posting the March 2011 schedule for “The Lab” earlier this month like we should have. We blame the dangerous proximity of GDC and PAX East for our delay. We hope you didn’t miss our tweet notifying you of our first “The Lab” weekend in March last week – if you missed the update, you may want to also follow our Twitter stream.

Along with the “The Lab” you have to look forward to next weekend, we’ve recapped the description and information for the first “The Lab” weekend in March in the schedule below.

If you’re new to “The Lab,” welcome! “The Lab” is a special playlist we will be running for a limited time on designated weekends, roughly every other weekend. You can access “The Lab” playlist within the set of playlists found in Matchmaking in UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer. During each weekend “The Lab” is active, we’ll be running a specialized playlist featuring one or more custom-tuned gametype variations from the tons of variables we can tweak in our multiplayer gameplay settings.

Your March 2011 schedule for “The Lab” is:

March 11 - 14
Deathmatch – No Boosters
There exists a certain popularity for playing matches with no Boosters enabled – there’s no denying some within our multiplayer community have a distinct dislike for Situational Awareness, Down the Irons, and other boosters. That’s cool – we don’t judge – and while there isn’t a permanent No Boosters gametype in our playlist rotation, we thought it would be nice to trot this gametype variation out for it’s day in the “The Lab.”

March 25 – 28
Snipers & Pistole
About a month ago we updated the All Competitive Modes playlist – to mix things up a little bit, we removed a few old standbys from the playlist rotation and added in a few gametype variations from “The Lab.” We brought back RPG – 7s Only as a standalone “The Lab” to get your specific impressions about that gametype variation. For this weekend of “The Lab,” we’re bringing back the other gametype variation that was removed – Snipers & Pistole. In your comments in our playlist update feedback forum thread, this gametype variation appears to be one of the fan favorites, so we’ve brought it back as a standalone episode of “The Lab.”

We’re in the process of evaluating the timing and content of our next playlist update – be sure to continue to leave your comments in the playlist feedback forum thread!

We’ll also be hosting a new thread for every event on the Naughty Dog community forums to get your feedback and thoughts on each one of our “The Lab” events.

I can’t wait for the latter lab (Sniper and Pistole)! I am ready for that one, and I will play it. Hopefully. Thanks for that one. Can you please make it permanent again?

No Boosters Deathmatch is alright, but not too bad.

Can we get triple cash in one of these labs please that would be helpful for all of us I’m pretty sure everybody that plays Uncharted 2 would really like that even everybody that is still in the single digits of there levels and everybody else that is a high level

hmm haven’t had a bonus cash w/e for a while now....
but cool! snipers/pistoles back for a weekend. I like that mode so cool. real shame the LAB doesn’t run for longer - I can’t see any reason why these modes can’t be on 100% of the time for 2 weeks and then roll straight onto the next playlist...?
fingers crossed we get grenades only LAB back again soon.... :D

Sorry to say this, but you guys are getting pretty unoriginal with The Lab lately. I mean how many times has Deathmatch No Boosters come up? TOO MUCH. And if i wanted to play Snipers and Pistoles i’d go into All Competitive Modes. All of this would be forgotten if you just brought back 1.04. You cant deny that people want it back, and if you’re just not telling the developers what we want then thats just stupid. See ya, i’m going on my PS3 now. but not to play Uncharted 2.

Sorry to say this, but you are wrong. You say that if you wanted to play Snipers and Pistoles that you would just go into All Competitive modes. Snipers and Pistoles was removed from All Competitive modes.

Can we please get 3xxx times the money until Uncharted 3 comes out or add another map from Uncharted drakes fortune its getting very boring playing the same maps I been playing Call of duty black ops for the past weeks Guys make the fans happy give us something other than the LAB if do at least double money LAB only

You guys seriously need to fix the mic problem. Whenever I am in a party with two other friends, they both can hear me and I can hear both of them. But they can’t hear each other at all. We tried re-syncing the headsets already. You could also add move support to UC2.

disable boosters for the lab. I’m tired of everybody talking about snipers and RPG matches like they are the greatest things. People don’t like the matches, they like the free money from using Invalid/half loaded or CGS with no ill affects. Since these are 1 shot kill weapons, boosters should be disabled so these guys can’t keep using the game type to boost cash by using BoH with no affects.

disable boosters and see how popular this game type is.

Sorry to be boring guy but, is there a limit for “all game modes” number of modes? cos ok you added new modes but you shouldnt have turned off RPG’s and snipers at all! they where the most fun modes :(

It would be really nice if there was a title update. And on a weekend it would be nice if we could even play all that time in the lab was all before it. The most I would hope that we would have again x8 cash! And what I miss ...... deathmatch only grenades with boosters.

I hope we do not lose our penchant for Uncharted 2 <3

We need 3x cash ( or more).. To be honest, Uncharted 2 is only worth playing anymore when it is 3x cash or more.. the game itself online has become so bad that I hardly play anymore. People do not die from bullets 1/2 the time anymore, grenades don’t seem to kill people either when they are right next to a persons feet. The lag in this game is a joke also.. So give us all more incentives to keep wanting to play. I will play this weekend ONLY because it will be more fun to use negative boosters on my other accounts to try and rank up. If it was not for the lab or 3x money, I would sell this game for sure. I hope Uncharted 3 will be much better. Oh, and do NOT remove negative boosters during the lab games or many people will stop playing for sure.
