I only bought this game because of the multiplayer but now the mutiplayer is pure garbage. All they had to do was change the health and weapon damage back to the 1.04 update. The 1.05 update was playable but now this update killed it for me. DID I BUY A GAME OR A BETA?

So far so good ND. Keep up the good work! No more panic grenade deaths. But may I suggest something? Grenades are noticeably underpowered and sure foot seems kind of pointless. Why not replace the 1m of blast radius removed with 1m of knock down?

I agree. The grenades were just the right power before and this update has made them stupidly rubbish. Everyting else though is good work ND. Just change the grenade back to what it was, please!

My thoughts:

Grenades:

They’re alot weaker. People can just walk out of the grenade’s radius now. I was hoping ND would’ve reduced the radius just enough so player’s with fast reflexes could escape, not reducing it so much that anyone could get away.

Limb Damage:

Nothing wrong here. Nice job ND.

Removing Auto Shoulder Switch:

Omg. Thank you.

Down the Irons:

Whatever. People with superior aim will still dominate so this change isn’t a big deal.

FAL:

When shooting from long range it’s still pretty good. Obviously slower but still powerful. But at close range it’s horrible. It doesn’t stand a chance against the AK at close range. You’re better off switching the FAL for the pistol for close combat. Instead of reducing the firing rate, why not just have the FAL kill with 3 bursts rather than 2?

Sniper Rifle:

Better than before.

Overall:

Except for the grenades, nice job. You guys improved 1.05. But the weapon balances in 1.04 were better. The gameplay before 1.05 was more fun and exciting, and for the most part, everything was balanced. Please change it back.

Oh and did you guys increase the shotgun’s range with 1.05? The blindfire on that thing kills from farther away now.

i have to agree wit MAGnumB-I-grBOss ever since 1.05 came out everything is just lame. first the guns do more damage which causes there to be more campers and now my favorite weapon FAL, is slower! plz just change it bak to 1.04

FINALLY!!  I can break my addiction to this game! Thanks Naughty Dog!  I used to play every chance I got, but now that this 1.06 update has come out I don’t want to play the game anymore!  Pretty much everyone’s comments here on spot on--the new update really, really, sucks balls.  Getting shaky hands, cold sweats, withdrawl...--seriously ND..PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!!!

To agree with anybody against these updates(downgrades).I perfered the original game the way it was, now the health basicly sucks the weapons didn’t really need to be tweaked(Mainly the gernades).Which is kinda turning me away from this game, the first update 1.04 I didn’t really notice a differece, but as 1.05 rolled the corner I thought “wow this sucks” because there was no real reason to do any of this unnecessary tweaking. for example(within update 1.06) the FAL slow fire rate big whoop it still kills ya in 2 bursts and to top it which that 1.05 should have never been brought upon Uncharted 2 even the co-op is effected by this lame move. the upside is there doing something against the players who cheat and or “glich” the game, this is the only good thing to become of these horrible updateds. So please Naughty Dog hear some of us out and set it back because long story short your killing Uncharted 2 for these lame updates at the same time your shooting your selfs in the foot.

Good jod ND i played the new update an its awsome wasnt a fan of 1.05 but this one is a great ,the game is dynamic again i can take shots have time to cover then back to the ol out thinking your opponent see who has skill to take out each other .its fantastic again was shot with the sniper an first shot didnt kill me god i smiled when that happened !no joke i was getting sprayed by 2 opponents obviouse they wernt aiming very well an i had time to evade now thats what im talking about .the game of using skill is back ,i played everyday through 1.05 but it wasnt the same now im back to being totally addicted cant wait to play again today !im no super skilled player an most of the time i get my ass handed to me but if im gonna be getting owned this update makes it more fun, dam i dont mind getting killed cos the game rocks gameplay is back !thanks ND cant thank you enough keep em comming best game ever!!

@Raiden- It’s still a one shot kill. You just have to shoot the torso or the head.

ND please keep Co-Op the same as Single Player, AKA 1.04 balancing. There’s no reason to change it when you’re playing against the AI.

Agreed completely. With the low health, people are complaining of campers.. 1.06 made it even more frustrating considering it’s nearly impossible to flush/kill campers with grenades now.

Earlier, I threw a grenade and a guy was jumping over the top of it and still managed to survive somehow…

Also, I was in the Pistole room at the ice cave when a guy threw a grenade right at the entrance.. It damaged me but I lived. The second grenade landed just inside and STILL didn’t kill me even though I wasn’t at full health. I obviously wanted to live but even I thought it was pretty sad that I survived…

That leads me to my question… What exactly is the point of having grenades now?

come on guys they are humans stop being so hard on them they are trying their best i think that it was perfect at the beginning but we cant just put the blame on naughty dog we have to blame our selves as well some of us actually asked for this

All u guys r doing is complaining about grenades, there r other ways to get kills, u guys obviously suck if all u do is throw grenades, get in the habit of shooting a gun.

Its really not that hard to kill campers like in the fort, just go through the tunnels and if u have skill u can make it, and now that the rate of fire has decreased with the FAL, an AK is way better at close range than a FAL, and i agree with sonicdragonG.

I know dude! the shotgun range is a lot bigger than before. i get so pissed off when someone carries a shotgun and you get killed right away. they should switch it back in the original range, also, ak’s are starting to dominate over special weapons. i use to use fal most of the times or M4, but now, ak seems to be the key weapon now. You should watch what your doing ND. Alot of people are starting to hate the game, and Im one of them!!!

you guys should realize that this new “updates” are taking the fairness out of the game. I mean seriously! they really just camp! I get your point that they can make mistakes but atleast try to consider the past settings when the game was knew, except for all the glitches. and matching should be more random. 3 out of 5 games, it ends up being new players vs high level players.

I’m just going to keep updating with these posts.

Some problems I’ve noticed:

1. For some reason, grenades bounce back at you. Let’s say I’m aiming to throw a grenade at someones feet, who is ahead of me. When I throw the grenade, it looks like it’s going to land where I’m aiming, but it bugs out and only goes a couple of feet in front of me.

2. The lag is even worse than before.

And like jakemania said before, grenades were the best to flush out campers. Now, campers can’t be touched. ND, idk who is asking for all these drastic changes, but they obviously are don’t care about the competitiveness of U2 (they only care about getting kills) and are impulse thinkers. 2v2 deathmatch...really?

Hmmm - I nearly read all the comments on the 1.06.-Update here. My advice: make a poll on this site where people can vote for there favorite update. Install it and only keep on fixing glitches and smaller issues which don´t affect gameplay that much. Then u have more time to concentrate on dlcs, new gaming modes and coop-maps etc. Also glitchers should be banned from playing. Thanks for listening. Peace

I agree with Rogue.  I have been playing this game since the first E3 Beta.  I feel all the changes recently have made the game worse.  Before the recent update, I would play this game over everything else.  Now it is slow.  The grenades are not fun.  This game was fast paced and fun.  I liked the way things were before you started experimenting with health.  You haven’t changed the single player mechanics at all and that got you Game of the Year honors.  Why do you pander to the masses?  I know you want to make your game better, but you had already made a great game!  Letting people influence you on blogs and comments is not the way you made Uncharted 2.  You guys are the experts, go back to what you had.  Or else I will go back to Gears of War 2.

@ meltron69, good idea, i like it, glitchers i think should just get their account retracted unless if they glitch in a custom game.

i found 2 glitches that havn’t been patched and are really cheap in the fort. i can show u if u want.

Please!  A) Change the health back to it’s original state B)Come out with new maps and skins C) Do nothing else!  The game was fun to play, now all people do is hide and wait!  If I wanted that type of environment I would play MW2!

obviously, not EVERYONE asked for it if majority of the people are complaining about it and naughty dog still isn’t doing anything about it but tweaking and making things worse. it’s a waste of time for us to even TRY and speak our minds because the issues aren’t getting solved.

I think people needs to stop complaining about how nd increased the damage ratio of all weapons and what not. I mean seriously if you are a good enough player and a highly skilled player, rather than complainig you would try to adapt to whatever is thrown at you right. And stop complaining about how you guys can’t kill campers, SUCK IT UP!!! Even I die you dont seem mee complaining and I am a level 54. Atleast nd is trying their best to comply with everyone. They are trying, arent they. But even after saying all this I will complain about one thing and how nd misinterpreted what we really wanted. Why in the world would they touch the grenades. I really think you guys should make another poll and see what we really want instead of making unneccessary tweaks to the game. I really liked 1.05 but 1.06 is bad in a way. Please ND its a plea on behalf of every gamer out there who plays uncharted 2 stop making unneccessary tweaks, just look into problems that needs to be addressed and fix those and leave everything the way it was before. @ rizvan: I’m a lvl 55. I adapt to the updates and still get a high score at the end of each game. And you know what? I hate the update.

The people complaining aren’t complaining because they can’t get kills anymore. They’re complaining because the game isn’t FUN anymore.

And lol at people caring and comparing K/D ratios. K/D doesn’t mean s***, especially when you play other game modes besides deathmatch, let your friends play for you, are away from your controller, or you just mess around in games.

@ whythehellcanti, if u hate the update so much, do us all a favor and STFU and stop playing, oh and just to rub it in, i’m a lvl 58 and i also get good scores.

When i first got this game i loved it. Awesome. But now you keep changing it.. If i KNEW you would tur the game into what it is now i wouldn’t have spen the money. Plain and simple.

53 here. Getting shot through a wall or hit with one pistol round and punched for a TKO..? Yeah, Bullshit.

My only complaint is the grenades are too weak now. You can drop a grenade right in front of someone and they will be fine. They are grenades! Not sissy bombs! lol

i know this is off topic, but u guys should really take damage from a melee attack in custom if friendly fire is on.

I just hope they fix the respawn points in the facility soon.  I spent a good 3-5 mins just fighting right at the respawn point killing and being killed just to be respawned right in the same place.

i couldn’t agree more with that i can still get loads of kills but its just not right i havent even played it for a few days because of that and i dont think i will bother unless they sort it out

Oh btw ND, when people are away from their controller and they get kicked out, they end up going into the “Finding Player” room and the process starts all over again. Shouldn’t they be kicked out of matchmaking completely?

@ whythehellcanti: i had no idea what i was saying back there and i know i look like a dumbass right now so yeah i was having a bad day, and if u get AFK’d u dont go to finding player, i have gotten AFK’d. and ND please take the 50k limit off of matches, it would really make plunder worth playing.

i know a bunch of 50 and up people will agree with me to take the 50k limit off or u could at least do it on double cash.

oh yeah and so people that arent lvl 50 might still agree with me cause i created a new account and maxed out the first match i played, i went 66 and 23 and i dont care if anybody else has done better.

i agree and ND should have a menu where you can customize your ak and pistol for example your ak can have a new berrel,stock,suppreessor,and front mount also add style to your pistol and ak

I love everything but the grenades being less efective to, but keep the shoty the way it is please!! And in the 2 new maps could u make the respawn about 1 second slower because I stop for a second and then its on and someone’s already shooting at me! I’m replying to Samwise...So ND, Is it just for this person that you did this horrible update? Now you can eat some chocolate and stil kill some other that aim straight to you??? Gameplay has become horrible, really, start to wanna throw the ps3 remote trough the window playing this unfair, non-balanced game it HAS become, I used to be great, funny with great graphics, now it starts to anoy major! Starting to regret having bought the DLC, as it is totaly unfair, unrealistic in a frustrating way...PLEASE SEE ALL THESE COMMENTS, except for SAMWISE, evrybody is complaining! From my 42 friend that I ONLY MADE for UC2, NOT ONE is still playing???? How come do you think?

arne has posted that they were working on the spawns before the GDC or wherever they are.

yh ND you need 2 change the greanade radius back 2 how it was before in updates 1.04 & 1.05 because now anyone can escape from a greande and most of the times you dont kill anyone. Also change the FAL shooting rate. if you are 1 on 1 will someone and you have the FAL and they have an AK47,, you r not goin 2 kill them will this shooting rate

FAL acually isn’t bad. i killed 2 people with AKs with the FAL. u just need to time the bursts and requires skill which most of u seem to be lacking.

I loved to use the FAL and with 1.06 it became a piece of junk!! it’s not only because of 2 shots instead of 3, it got slower than ever! seriously, get it back ASAP! what about SAS?! I used to kill an armored big boy when close blind fire at once! I tried first time with 1.06. Guess what?! such a shame!

I mean it just that thw FAL and grenade changes ticks me of cause there was like 3 guys like 2 feet away from the grenade and BOOM dosent kill them and im like 5 feet away and it kill me even though i have 3/4 health left

Hey and ND there are times that some one throws a grenade at random and i lands like 3 feet beside me and like 1 millisecond later it blows up killing me PEOPLE it isnt supposed to blow up that fast i mean come ON and it only happend to people below level 30 which is weird

I totally agree, the new update improves things and is great… But it doesn’t mean that loads of us shouldnt be angry with (for example) the grenades in this update. Fair enough stopping people who just throw nades all the time, but if you are a decent player anyone would be able to see the grenades are terrible now. They are about as damaging as throwing an apple at your enemy. True, just keep trying ND but also know when to stop because maybe a fun game of Uncharted 2 is turning into a bit of a frustrating one. Always love the game though, whatever you do to it ND.

yeah, the FAL is also my best weapon, or at least it was, but u know i’m kind of getting used to it. and again PLEASE GET RID OF THE F***ING 50K LIMIT PER MATCH. U GUYS MAKE IT SO HARD TO LVL COMPARED TO OTHER GAMES SO U COULD AT LEAST GET RID OF THE CASH LIMIT.
