Title Update 1.07

Title Update 1.07 will be released worldwide today, April 21, 2010, at about 11:00 AM PDT / 6:00 PM GMT (what time is that in my city?). Some regions may receive the update slightly earlier or later than this time, but every region will receive Title Update 1.07 today.

Title Update 1.07 includes the following:

Players can now select a Hero skin through their online profile for Co-op Arena matches only
Additional spawn system changes to enhance spawn point update effectiveness
Gameplay changes to prevent “airwalk” exploit by players
Updates to map geometry collision detection to improve prevention of players attempting to leave normal multiplayer map boundaries

Arne WTF? theres a post in the forums for links to “cinema files”...you do relise that most peoples cinema files are corrupt? Please fix this..I never got to record them so I’d be very annoyed...(especailly considering i cant get a higher killstreak than 7 since 1.06 :/)

WOW! This update is lame… Like seriously, I thought, WE ALL THOUGHT(Speaking about everyone on my friends list) there was going to be more to 1.07! I mean, granted those were problems needing fixing, but WHEN WILL YOU GET IT NAUGHTY DOG? WHEN WILL YOU GET IT THAT YOU ARE HURTING YOURSELF...? We played the beta and the beta was great, and months later you want to change everything… Trust me on this, when Halo Reach Beta is released, don’t expect to see my name or many others(My friends list) playing UNCHARTED 2… Cause we all bought this game because of the beta and how it played… I left MW2 cause I loved UNCHARTED so much more… now I regret it..

Chill out the game is fine and u leaving with your friends doesnt hurt anybody but yourselfs!The game is a little off just a little not at much different from the beta!I love this game so much that i go with the changes you act like it is unplayable!

actually it hurts ND as well...cause seeing as 20,000 people left already since updates 1.05 and 1.06...i can only see more leaving since this did not fix any of the issues that people were expecting to be at least mentioned (with the exception of spawns)

What I don’t get is that Arne said spawns can be addressed on the fly and wouldn’t necessarily be heavily involved in the update...BUT the only thing this update has is a spawn system and a way to get rid of some glitches…

Why not put grenades back? You know, the way they were when they were actually effective against campers

This update was a make or break update...and spawns alone will not make this a good update (although it will help)...the fact of the matter is...the best non-power weapon gun in the game is the default weapon you start with which has the LARGEST BULLET SPREAD?!!...the gun that takes the least amount of skill to use is officially the best gun in the game...am I the only one that sees fault in this?

I will attempt 1.07...but I can’t see me liking it very much since I absolutely hate 1.06

IMO, I don’t think the weapons are unbalanced. I think grenades are perfect as is, as well as the other stuff. There’s only one complaint, which is the 2 shots from a pistol, a punch, and your dead.

I’m excited to see how spawns are and stuff. I’m not going to say good work ND, because you never know.

I have been playing since the beta in europe (1st out) and it has suffered too many changes, some for good , some for bad, just not as fun as it used to be, but if they brought back the grenade damage it would be ok, but ,, nothing involving balance.

Ak47 can kill in a few bullets, whats the point

i feel like this update is lacking something. im glad the glitches will finally be fixed. and i really hope this update fixes the spawns. but this game in my opinion will still be somewhat broken. i guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Exactly. I reckon people who still like the game are too busy playing and not complaining.

Because it’s easier to complain than to say thank you. ND should take this into account before considering changing anything back.

But of course, people have the right to complain if they don’t like something. However, most of them are greatly exaggerating the differences between 1.04 and 1.06.

Also, I hope for the inclusion of new, creative medals soon.

Sigh.

The game is still easy to adapt to.

There are probably more people who like 1.04 than people who like the updates.

People are complaining because this is not the game they spent $60 on.

People are complaining because ND has the ability to change things back but they won’t.

People are complaining because ND could’ve made a playlist for Crushing but they didn’t.

People are complaining because ND could make a 1.04 playlist NOW (even though crushing should’ve had a playlist) but they won’t.

...

Imagine your mom is a well-respected member of the community who holds down a job while helping around the house.

Now imagine that she has become a drug addicted prostitute who never comes home.

Yeah, that’s what it feels like.

Nice. Time to head to the forums for a little discussion… I hope this “Gameplay changes made to prevent airwalk” mean you can’t walk while pressing up anymore… ergo affecting Situational Awareness.

It just baffles me how can they just not do what the gamers want. When Fight Night Round 4 came out, The Studio didnt want people to punch with the buttons, and wanted them to fight using the joystick. At the end, EA told them they HAD to include the button configuration through title update because sales and the community was demanding it too much.

I see the same here, but they are not doing anything. That’s kinda sad.

This game, for me, was the best thing since Gears of War. But with the changes, I might just go back to my old, beat up classic of the XBOX classic. I prefer to endure the broken matchmaking than the broken gameplay.

The thing is, not nearly as many people want 1.04 back as there were in Fight Night who wanted buttons. Honestly though, I was one of those people saying ‘’I want 1.04 back’’ a few months back, but there no point anymore. Either adapt to the changes & stop complaining, stop playing & stop complaining. People complaining about 1.04 is actually getting annoying.

Stop playing? For some people, the MP demo was the reason they bought this game.(it was for me as well) But now they changed up the MP experience to be very different from the MP Demo. Dont you think its stupid to have all those betas since March of 09 (correct me if i got the date wrong) and then change the game drastically 4 months after release? Isnt it like a big middle finger to all those that bought the game based of the MP demo? I can assure you i will not be wasting money on any Naughty Dog games anymore. Ive learned my lesson.

Thank you ND!!!!!

You updated the Multiplayer without changing the weapons. I’m impressed! I like the weapons as they are now.

Also, getting rid of the glitches is awesome. I’m so sick of getting killed by people outside the map.

I can’t wait to play as a character of my choice in Co-op, too. I hate getting stuck as Chloe or Sully.

Overall, I’m really happy with this update. No complaints from me.

I doubt that they are exterminating the glitches and I suspect the spawns will not be fixed. I hope I am wrong.

So this update only fixes less than half of what the Naughty Dog online dev team broke? Yeah, no thanks. Think I’ll pass on the Seige DLC since the devs think that the FAL can’t be brought back to the original 3 three bursts to kill status that made it such a fun rifle to use.

Before you go “GIT GOOD NUB!”, if you hit any decent player with the FAL in 1.04, then there would be no way you’d still get your kill, because the other player would hide away before you even had the chance to press R1 the third time.

The only players you could kill with the FAL before were newbies, and therefore very few people used the FAL, which gave the impression that the FAL was the weapon for the pros, since nearly no one used it.

At least now the FAL is a valid weapon to use.

Are you still baked??? First off, the FAL was 2 shot burst to the upper chest. And i could rape with the FAL. Its seems your forgetting that the FALs fire rate used to be a little bit faster. I dont know where your coming from saying the FAL sucked in 1.04. If you were head to head against an AK or M4 you actually still had a chance to kill them with the FAL. Now the FAL sucks and you can almost never out gun an AK of M4. Your better off using you pistol.

So I had to post yet another quoting comment I find extremely hilarious:

If everything in the update list works flawlessly, then there’s no reason this wouldn’t be one of the best updates ever.

You don’t need new medals, sounds or popups in every update to make it great. Not saying this is what you were talking about, mind you
