Title Update 1.09
Title Update 1.09 will be released in all regions on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at about 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?).
Title Update 1.09 includes the following:
- Changes made to multiplayer character skin system to allow for voices to be included with future skins
- Made changes to character game mechanics to prevent players from using exploits
- Fixed ability for players to “super throw” the treasure in Plunder matches
- Cash awarded per kill in Elimination has been increased to $750 per kill
- Enabled the ability for Naughty Dog to easily alter the amount of cash earned for individual Medals on a playlist or gametype basis and per-kill
Thanks to some of the changes above, we’ll be issuing a LiveData update that will rescale Medal cash awards in Objective games ONLY. For matches which fall under the Objective modes, cash for individual and kill-based medals have been decreased in value, while cash for Objective based medals have been increased as follows:
- Tip Off – $1,000
- Captured – $4,000
- That’s Embarrassing – $10,000
- Protectorate – $2,000
- No Cigar – $2,000
- Drop It – $1,000
- None Shall Pass – $5,000
- Expansionist – $5,000

I hope. First it was a lot of fun. They created an own multiplayer game, with extremely high health 3person and amazing explosive power that was fun. After all those changes it became kinda like MW2 and BFBC2 but in 3rd person and a lot worse. I hope that it changes back to when i bought Uncharted 2 at the release date and played my first MP match!!!!!
I Agree The Fix Almost Everything But The Damn Lost City. Me and 37 other People I asked Have Not Played The Lost City For More Then A Month. Its There But It Just Glithes. WHO ELSE HAVEN’T PLAYED THE LOST CITY ASWELL!.!.!.!.
i agree with u and this game was game of the year, Until they screwed it up now i sure hope either uncharted 3(if it comes out)or medal of honor become game of the year but they need to change uncharted back!!!!!!!

i think that many would be happy with this new update if the BOHs were not lowered i don’t even want to play ACM anymore because i’m not getting enough money to LV up i mean really 10 kills with invalid and come get some got me a little over 8’000
BOH’s are now a waist of time you’ve realy messed up this time ND it will take forever to level up. I’ve been playing this once wonderful game since October im only level 58 because real life get’s’in the way. PLEASE change it back.

I completely agree with you. Plunder used to be by far my favorite game type, not only because it was fun, but because it was a pretty much guaranteed 75k every match. Now I can’t even come near that, unless I use the booster Deposit and shut the other team out 5-0! And your right about negative boosters, they’re basically useless now. Wasn’t ND’s plan to discourage players from kill farming? IMO it has gotten even worse than before, on a count of them decreasing the ammount of cash one would make using the BoH’s, making the positive boosters the best choice for any objective game mode. I’m sorry ND, but this may be your worst update yet. Please change it back!
Tell me about it but Naughty dog may just be trying to say GO FOR THE TREASURE instead of kill farming. But $4000 for 1 capture is pretty generous considering you can use deposit. So score 5 times with deposit and get “Thats embarrising or That was embarring (i personaly thought) and you good good $$$.
“Generous?” No way dude, that’s the least ND can do for taking our BoH income away from us. I mean seriously, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m not going to be able to win via a 5-0 shutout every match to earn my 75k. I want my cash for BoH’s back! Please ND! And while your at it, will you please increase/eliminate the money cap?
Simply put, this update was made to make the lower levels level up much faster. A level forty can now use deposit, get a shutout (which I found VERY easy today) most of the games, and get sixty grand a pop. Not everyone can use BOHs you know. And by the way, I’m 57 and I am punished by this, but just switch between using BOHs in deathmatch and usind deposit on plunder.
4000 x 2= 8000 8000x5=40000 thats captures alone with deposit. Thats decent. 20000 (that was embarrising)lol dnt know how to spell. 60000 plus kills and medals is decent so stop whining
I’m not whining, I’m just trying to make a point. Why should ND make it easier for players who are level 50 and under to level up, when players who are above that (such as myself) have already gone through those stages? IMO it should be the other way around. I think the higher level players are much more deserving of a reward opposed to the new comers. Does anyone agree with me?

Alot of my friends arnt happy with the update, either am I why ND? why are you making the game so hard for people to enjoy.. If you want people to try and achieve level 80 make it realistic for those who have a life outside the network… Im loosing interest and I dont play it half as much as sum...I’ll have 1 foot in the grave before I can reach it… Im only lvl 56 everyone will drop this like a hot cake when something else good comes along…

I don’t agree with you the BoH are for skilled players in Deathmatch to get the 75 Gs. using BoH in plunder is cheating considering there is no cap on kills there getting 5 Get of My Lawns would just be a waist of money. This is an excellent idea for the lowers to rise up and we can see more BoH being used in Deathmatch and if your skilled Elimination.

it is amazing how many of you complain about plunder, don’t you get it, the reason it was changed is because people were abusing it, it was being played like a death match, not a plunder, I’m glad they made the changes, now plunder is not another death match.
I agree with you 110 percent they have ruined plunder. I only get 200 points for using half loaded. I hope they change it back cuz this update is a fail in my opinion. Plunder was my favorite game type.

THEY TOTALLY RUINED PLUNDER, THIS WAS THE ONLY GAME TYPE THAT YOU COULD REALLY EARN SOME SERIOUS CASH, PLUS IT WAS FUN RUNNING AROUND ALL OVER THE MAP KILLING YOUR OPPONENTS, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME EARNING MONEY CAPTURING THE TREASURE, ND CHANGE IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS

THIS IS AWESOME! I used deposit on plunder and got 8,000! That happened 5 times, everyone should do plunder with deposit auto matic 40,000! But please ARNE can we have double cash again too because it always stops! I got about 3 no cigars! But the worst part is a guy named ill kick your *** son, he killed almost everyone THROUGH THE WALL I got so mad!! Im very serious with gaming and I asked him to play like a man! The best part was that he killed only 4 people and was in last place…
NOOO I liked it with the infamous guy where he doesn’t make huffing sounds like drake! Now Ill have to use the walk softly thing… Or do you mean you upgraded the Drake voice…

Thank You Naughty Dog! Kinda mad that the Plunder medals money value was decreased like crazy. $2 for a kill? That’s kinda ridiculous. But thanks for patching those glitches! How about getting rid of the Situational Awareness Booster too? Lmao
its good for higher lvls with come get some. that aint gonna get rid of that. the BOHs were made so u hav a challenge and that you find the right booster to counter the BOH. So, Come Get Some is matched with SA. why do you think Come Get Some is in the 2nd slot.

those skins will probably never make it into this game because they are 3rd party. meaning not exclusive to sony. unlike are first hero pack DLC skins which were all from exclusive playstation title games. sorry guy

for the most part, this update was not mentioning. it was mostly things that were tech related that helps them do better updates and add ons down the road. but the change to objective mode is what made it more major

No puedo jugar al multijugador del uncharted 2, cuando m meto en el multijugador directamente la música del juego se entrecorta le doy a buscar partida rápida y encuentra los jugadores pero cuando va a empezar la partida esa música sigue sonando y se me bloquea la partida con los números del principio 1.09. 016 y tengo k apagar la consola d atrás xq no responde lo he intentado las ultimas 4 veces, y lo que me fastidia k luego me quitais exp conseguida sin poder jugar, k puedo hacer para volver a jugar, este problema me apareció en el ultimo laboratorio k habeis puesto esta semana pasada, se va a sacar algun parche, m encanta este juego y necesito jugarlo.

Possibly! The update gives us the option to include voices on skins, something we were not able to do in all circumstances previously.
What do mean by voices? I dont really get that, like do you mean Chloe gets the treasure she yells I got the treasure?
No because Chloe already does that. It means, the skins that have no voices could possibly start talking one day. Look forward to it.
This would be great. There’s a couple of character skins at the moment which have an unfair advantage because they don’t make any vocal sounds when climbing and moving around. Listening for characters moving around is normally a huge part to avoiding death, especially in Elimination.
Even if the characters just get grunts and moans I’ll be happy. They don’t necessarily need phrases like Nate and the gang have.

The existing DLC skins should be updated. I was rather disappointed when I realized they were totally silent. It breaks immersion, and as you said it breaks game balance.

Arne please i beg you to listen to me. you really need to answer me: you gotta fix the grenades. you throw a grenade right next to the player and he still doesn’t die. and that’s VERY annoying. the grenades lab thing sucked just because of that. please give me an answer saying what you think of this!

Well, if you scroll up, I’ve typed this many times so I’ll repeat. They want you to stop kill farming and to start playing plunder. They lowered all kill medals and kill amount so that they bribe you into capturing the treasure. Why can’t you people just understand that.
see my post… Farm killing is a problem, no doubt. Maybe make plunder like 15 minutes. There are ways to make Plunder about Plunder without handicapping you because you kill while you capture. Shall we have plunder with only our fists? Or maybe just like capture the flag with no fighting, just a race to carry the treasure.
BOH should be valued. Invalid is hard. You will see an increase in HIGH levels ganging up and out numbering the opposition with down the irons and deposit. The money will still be there, they will still level, but the lower to mid-levels will be left out. The plunder balancing of teams is out of whack, fix that, and then come and try to make plunder a capture the flag game.
like improving the candy wrapper and using less chocolate. You will fool the kiddies with the wrapper but these changes are flawed. If you are going to nerf the medals and make BOH useless and elevate situational awareness, while doing NOTHING to fix the poor balance of Plunder games, the voices will be nice with no one around to here them.
Again, im ok with changing the value of kills, but keep them within balance, playing with invalid is hard and deserves more capturing a treasure with a team that is seriously out balanced. People will quit games as soon as the teams are made.
