Today’s Title Update, er, DLC announcement
Normally, we’d shed some more light on Title Update 1.05, but what we would be revealing is covered in today’s exclusive reveal by IGN about our upcoming Drake’s Fortune Multiplayer Pack DLC releases. Head over there to read about new maps, new skins, new Trophies and new Medals. I bet now the blurry portion from yesterday’s multiplayer menu screenshots now make sense! Hint: it’s the Trophy menu item.
All 13 of the new Medals will be added for everyone when Title Update 1.05 is released on Monday, February 15, 2010.

I was waiting so long to play as Atoq Navarro from Uncharted Drakes Fortune but couldn’t go to the Comic-Con, I cant wait to get this :D
just played the new maps .awesome work by naughty dog.it feels like the uncharted i first bought no one is camping and its great!!! and i really really hope that it stays that way b/c camping an intire match it just stupid .and get very old fast!so to all the campers.if u want to camp ,camp but dont camp the whole match come out of your nest and be a part of the game.great job naughty dog .keep the good work up.
also have already seen a guy flying around the new map .not kool he was floating ledge to ledge

THANK YOU very much naughty dog, can’t wait for monday, but will there be new playlists like ‘map pack’ on the main menu, so the people who don’t have it don’t have to spend a long time joining games where they don’t have the maps.
quick question, is there going to be more free maps, I’ll be buying this pack, but I’m thinking about the people who don’t have the money, these maps look massive compared to the fort, and the temple. So the questions I’m asking are, is there going to be more smaller maps like the others?, and will the smaller ones be free and the bigger ones the players have to pay for?
why smaller maps??? big ones like those in the trailer are much better.
I agree, what about a “Drake’s Fortune” playlist? Btw, can other people who doesn’t have the map pack play in the map as long as they are with someone who does have the map in “Create Match” and that person is party leader?

It is obvious that when searching for players it will only find those who have the DLC (Most likely everyone will have this because they will not want to miss out....)

i’ve got enough. i lost over 2 million $ for playstation network-disconnects. NAUGHTY DOGS, go fix that! I want my exp. back! And its a shame that i lost my lvl. 42 to lvl 1. now i’m lvl 41 again, and lost over 2 million bucks for nothing! PLEASE! i love the MP, but fun is running out… i’m so dissapointed…

i got the new skins a couple of weeks ago but whats the deal with the new maps i went to playstation network to try and get them but cant!!!!!! and whats the deal with 2 shots and u dead but when u shooting at somebody u empty a gun!!

Man everytime a new blog entry is made the older post does not allow commenting lol… Did you guys include the ability to decide if we want to play goldrush or survival? I like them both but I like the option to choose which I like to play on any give day… And ability to break the grabby guys holds lol like the normal offline play. Can’t always rely on someone else to come to your aid

Sometimes the reply to post box is’nt there, but that usually just fixes itself after you refresh a fewtimes or leave and come back.

Yeah, It’s just a minor glitch that stops us posting on the second page or replying to people on the second page. Nothing big though.

I have had it happen today in Windows 7 with Firefox 3.5.7 and IE 8. In both browsers I was first looking at the following post:

I clicked “LOGIN” at the top right of the page. Enter my PSN details on the login page.
Then clicked “Log in to reply to this entry” and the url (http://www.naughtydog.com/site/post/uncharted_2_title_update_105_feb_15_2010/#comment_form) would just refresh the page and not open a input box. I then clicked “BLOG” and back on the post entry and the page loaded with the input box at the bottom.

This is great and all, but I’m still waiting for skins (DLC and not) to be available in co-op arena. Seriously, what’s stopping you?

trailer looks great. i think u guys have supported this game rly well. first the free map, then the awesome skins and now first big dlc pack. keep it up., i will be buying, and maybe play drakes fortune again while i wait, this trailer brought back some great memories.
Great stuff. Been hoping for the Drake’s Fortune stuff to be true ever since seeing Elena’s DF portrait on the loading screen. But to get this many characters, plus 2 maps aaand new trophies/medals for a cheap price. You guys just keep making my favorite game even more excellent.

Arne. I tried to send this to your psn account but i don’t think it went through. I was hoping that you guys could release an Eye of Indra map pack. I was hoping for a Heist Eddy (from the Pinkerton theft) for the Heroes team. I liked that look for Eddy plus he was teamed up with Rika and Nate in that so I think he’d be a good hero. Maybe a Pinkerton estate level to would be kinda fun. Thanks ND
Plus it would be nice for the U.S. players to get there hands on Rika and Pinkerton if you wouldn’t mind.

The European players only have BB Drake Qlaahrqueh. They also have the ND pirate, Rika Raja and Pinkerton.
Hopefully by the appropriate actors <_< We do NOT want ol’ Eddy Raja sounding like Vodnik or whatever.
Arne does that mean they will have their OWN voices? i hated the navarro skin codes you guys gave out it made me feel like you guys rushed it and just reskined sark.
Will the Playstation Heroes pack ever get voices with a patch? Also with the Drake’s Fortune skins will Drake and Elena have different lines from the U2 skins or will it be the same? Lastly will Navarro, Eddy, Roman have their respective voice actors and not just the enemy “standard” voice? I have the Navarro skin and it’s obvious his voice is just borrowed from one of the normal Villains.
All interesting questions. If my personal wishlist was important I would answer, “Yes, Yes, and Yes”.
for nate and elena they surely took the voices from the other nate and elena skins. for eddy i think they could use the voice of prakoso the pirate. in the italian version they have the same voice, but i’m not sure about the english version.
Love the DLC and will be getting it, but ND’s logic is quite flawed. I have to pay $6 for NEW MP DLC to get trophies that are tied to the CORE MP experience? Fail. At least have DLC-related trophies. Doesn’t matter anyhow. Day 1 buy for me!
Trophies are not in the bundle, they are free and everyone will get them on the Feb. 25th update.
No the update is on the 15th… The DLC Maps and Skins are on the 25th..

One question? How does the match making work for the people who do not purchase these maps?

That’s all amazing news that I’m sure everyone will be looking forward to, but I have one burning question: will the new skins have voice overs?? Because that would just make the characters feel “right.” Also, I hope that there is some way to add voices to the skins in the first character pack…
Btw, keep the DLC coming! First day purchase for sure!

And by the way, please don’t fiddle to much with multiplayer mechanics wiht 1.05 update, we like the game as it is when it comes to the gameplay. Just add up some more content like this and everything is dandy

New co-op maps (& skins?) are coming in another DLC pack. no offical date has been announced.
Just enjoy this DLC and give the Naughty Dog’s a chance to carry on all the great work they do.

The maps look stunning. I don’t care that much for the skins, but with that fair pricing (I hope it will be equally priced in Europe)I ‘ll take the whole package.

Maps look absolutely amazing. Only two though? Both of those look like they could be split up into 2 separate maps each. I think “The Sunken Ruins” looks HUGE! I’m sure everyone will love it though, along with the new skins as long as they come with voices and not with a built in “Silent Foot”. But NO ONE is going to like 1.05’s lowered health. The Poll shouldn’t have had “Make it’s own playlist” because I’m sure many people who voted for that either wanted it as a separate playlist or !!DIDN’T WANT IT!! at all. That’s not cool ND but it’s smart of you guys to release the DLC along with 1.05 to keep players from leaving. Yeah smart.......
Oh btw where are all the ND guys on Uncharted 2? It’d be fun to see you guys on more often and give everyone a free medal (lets call it “Dog’s Ring” worth $3000!!) if they’re in the same game :D

there not just lowering health there changing weapon damage so it will be very different to the experimental weekend
Overall they’re making players die more easily to level out the playing field for less experienced players, because players want to change this BEAUTIFUL “Arcade” styled shooter to a “Simulator” shooter like MW2… some kid even asked for UAV Killstreaks in a previous blog post… and it’s these types of fans that voted they liked the lower health. I just hope they make the weapon damage just as weak as they’re lowering the health.
BTW when you play custom games the weapon damage output is different than in matchmaking… perhaps it’s an early tell on what the update will be like? If so then i rather like it, but any lower would be annoying.
So will the new trophies affect my 1 trophy away from Platinum?

No, but it’ll screw with your 100% by putting modes you don’t want to play (elimination, esp.) in. *mumble grumble*

I’m gonna love the map that pours rain. And hope we be able to use Drake’s Fortune Nate in Gold Rush and Survival, same with Elena, but too bad for Chloe lol. So Mr. Meyer, have you guys been thinking of being able to pick your own Hero skin in Survival or Gold Rush ? :3

Trophies tied to multiplayer and for modes that I absolutely despise and have to deal with 12 year old douches that feel team-killing is cool - HAHAHA, LAME.

i have a question about the trophies. lets say you’ve already achieved 50 stealth kill, do you get the trophy as soon as the game start? or do the stat restart? I’m actually kinda confused.
50 stealth kills after you download the update
It will only start the count after the update.
Oh, and will the skins have voices and such?
