For Day Three of our spotlight on Title Update 1.05—wait, IGN has something more important that we’re announcing today.

Today’s Title Update, er, DLC announcement

Normally, we’d shed some more light on Title Update 1.05, but what we would be revealing is covered in today’s exclusive reveal by IGN about our upcoming Drake’s Fortune Multiplayer Pack DLC releases. Head over there to read about new maps, new skins, new Trophies and new Medals. I bet now the blurry portion from yesterday’s multiplayer menu screenshots now make sense! Hint: it’s the Trophy menu item.

All 13 of the new Medals will be added for everyone when Title Update 1.05 is released on Monday, February 15, 2010.

I was waiting so long to play as Atoq Navarro from Uncharted Drakes Fortune but couldn’t go to the Comic-Con, I cant wait to get this :D

Yah ! 4 sure! But one question....what’s gonna happen to the ppl who dnt buy the maps? Will they still play with the ppl who did buy the maps? Like what’s gonna happen? And culd y plz put that trailer on YouTube cuz I can’t watch it for some reason :( thx

Man everytime a new blog entry is made the older post does not allow commenting lol… Did you guys include the ability to decide if we want to play goldrush or survival? I like them both but I like the option to choose which I like to play on any give day… And ability to break the grabby guys holds lol like the normal offline play. Can’t always rely on someone else to come to your aid raspberry

trailer looks great. i think u guys have supported this game rly well. first the free map, then the awesome skins and now first big dlc pack. keep it up., i will be buying, and maybe play drakes fortune again while i wait, this trailer brought back some great memories.

Great stuff.  Been hoping for the Drake’s Fortune stuff to be true ever since seeing Elena’s DF portrait on the loading screen.  But to get this many characters, plus 2 maps aaand new trophies/medals for a cheap price.  You guys just keep making my favorite game even more excellent.

Arne. I tried to send this to your psn account but i don’t think it went through. I was hoping that you guys could release an Eye of Indra map pack. I was hoping for a Heist Eddy (from the Pinkerton theft) for the Heroes team. I liked that look for Eddy plus he was teamed up with Rika and Nate in that so I think he’d be a good hero. Maybe a Pinkerton estate level to would be kinda fun. Thanks ND

The European players only have BB Drake Qlaahrqueh. They also have the ND pirate, Rika Raja and Pinkerton.

Love the DLC and will be getting it, but ND’s logic is quite flawed. I have to pay $6 for NEW MP DLC to get trophies that are tied to the CORE MP experience? Fail. At least have DLC-related trophies. Doesn’t matter anyhow. Day 1 buy for me!

Trophies are not in the bundle, they are free and everyone will get them on the Feb. 25th update.

That’s all amazing news that I’m sure everyone will be looking forward to, but I have one burning question: will the new skins have voice overs?? Because that would just make the characters feel “right.” Also, I hope that there is some way to add voices to the skins in the first character pack…

This looks amazing ND! Will get this on release for sure. Just wondering if the new maps are playable in CO-OP?

And by the way, please don’t fiddle to much with multiplayer mechanics wiht 1.05 update, we like the game as it is when it comes to the gameplay. Just add up some more content like this and everything is dandy wink

New co-op maps (& skins?) are coming in another DLC pack. no offical date has been announced.

Maps look absolutely amazing. Only two though? Both of those look like they could be split up into 2 separate maps each. I think “The Sunken Ruins” looks HUGE! I’m sure everyone will love it though, along with the new skins as long as they come with voices and not with a built in “Silent Foot”. But NO ONE is going to like 1.05’s lowered health.  The Poll shouldn’t have had “Make it’s own playlist” because I’m sure many people who voted for that either wanted it as a separate playlist or !!DIDN’T WANT IT!! at all.  That’s not cool ND but it’s smart of you guys to release the DLC along with 1.05 to keep players from leaving. Yeah smart.......

Oh btw where are all the ND guys on Uncharted 2?  It’d be fun to see you guys on more often and give everyone a free medal (lets call it “Dog’s Ring” worth $3000!!) if they’re in the same game :D

I wonder if anyone from ND’s gonna read this very insightful post…

I’m gonna love the map that pours rain. And hope we be able to use Drake’s Fortune Nate in Gold Rush and Survival, same with Elena, but too bad for Chloe lol. So Mr. Meyer, have you guys been thinking of being able to pick your own Hero skin in Survival or Gold Rush ? :3

i have a question about the trophies. lets say you’ve already achieved 50 stealth kill, do you get the trophy as soon as the game start? or do the stat restart? I’m actually kinda confused.

Love the news of new trophies and medals .But rewarding AFK players with the UNLUCKY medal[get killed 5 times in a row without getting a kill] seems a little puzzling.

This is going to be the death of Uncharted Online.

The community is going to get seperated between people that did bought the maps and the people that didn’t. Uncharted doesn’t have that many players already and ND is cutting it in half? Bad decision.
I know they spend time to create those maps and they try to get a little money out of it but is it worth it to split up the entire online community?

2 things can happen: People who bought the maps can never find a match because simply not enough people bought the maps or they never find a match where they can play the maps; and that makes you feel like you got robbed.

I would gladly put some money down for the skins to support ND but charging money for the maps? Only games that have giant userbases like MW2 can do that since you’ll always have enough people there that did the same.
I can remember with Battlefield 2142 the whole game died down when the booster pack got released and there were simply not enough people around that bought it aswell so I could never find a decent server that played the maps I bought. So I went back to vanilla 2142 and felt like i’ve been robbed 10 dollars.

I seriously hope ND will reconsider this.

Great point. I was so happy that new maps are coming. But when i read your comment, i was brought back to reality. What’s the point of buying new maps when there’s gonna be less than half the amount of players who can actually play with you? Maybe ND should just charge for the new skins but not for the new maps?

this is really cool. i like it. one question though. lately ive been encountering campers at least every two matches and they’re really annoying. htey have no skill but still manage to get me by camping. i was wondering, could u guys (and girls) maybe do something about them? like give them a penalise them if theyre in there for longer than 6 minutes?

ARNE I DNT UNDERSTAND Y WE ARE BEING CHARGED 4 THE MAPS. I PERSONALLY DNT MIND PAYIN 4 NEW SKINS BT THE MAPS SHOULD B FREE SO THAT THE COMMUNITY WILL BE WHOLE. Awesome...this is the kind of DLC I’m looking for.

I am concerned about how matchmaking will work though.  Once I buy the maps, I hope my game doesn’t spend forever searching for others that have bought the maps as well.

I really think the new maps should be some sort of new playlist so that when you select it, you know everybody else on that playlist will also have the new maps.

Naughty Dog could really do alot of things to keep this game generating revenue for them for the next couple years.  Could keep adding maps, boosters, weapons, characters, etc.  I’d really like to see some new boosters that people could spend their in-game dollars on....

Hopefully Naughty Dog straightens out how the new DLC will work so that it rewards those who buy it without punishing those that haven’t.  I think the best way to do that will be with making the new DLC a new playlist....but I guess we’ll see.....

Anyways, I appreciate the DLC and will definately be buying.  In the end though, how it all plays out will determine if I keep sticking with multiplayer or not.  I have faith in Naughty Dog though so I’m confident it will all work out smile

I like the idea of a separate playlist for the new dlc.
Still I won’t be getting it since the 1.05 update what a disappointment I was really looking forward to some new maps “Sigh”

Hi, just bought a PS3 and Uncharted2. Amazing game. My 9 year old plays all the time? Newbie question here, Where do I go to get the skins and this update? Thank for your help.

The skins and paid dlc can be purchased in playstation store, while you’ll get the title update once you load the game. ENJOY!

Hey arne I checked out your trophies. nice to see that you have kept with mostly playstation exclusives. Good thing these skins have voiceovers. I’m gonna buy this for sure.

It would be released globally on the 25’th, a week thursday. i think this is am amazing idea, and ND dont worry about people who complain, theres always gonna be people who want their way, what your doin is great, it’s impossible to always please everyone, im lookin forward to the maps + characters, keep it up guys;)
