The Art of Uncharted 2,by Ballistic Publishing, is now available and shipping to customers. We recently got our copies in at the studio and wanted to give everyone a good look at the books, with pictures and an unboxing video of all three versions.

Unboxing The Art of Uncharted 2

Just over a couple of months ago, Ballistic Publishing revealed that they were releasing The Art of Uncharted 2 – an in-depth look at the concept art, production art and artistic process during the development of UNCHARTED 2. The Art of Uncharted 2 comes in three flavors – Soft Cover, Special Edition, and a Limited Folio Edition – each increasing in price to go along with the nicer materials and, in the case of the Limited Folio Edition, exclusivity since only 200 signed and numbered copies will be sold.

We got copies of all three versions in the studio recently and thought it was only fitting to take a bunch of photos and put together an unboxing video below so you can get a good look at what you get when purchasing The Art of Uncharted 2.

That looks really nice. smile If I had the money (and didn’t live in France - high shipping costs) I would have bought the Limited Edition, but just seeing what it looks like it great, it really looks awesome. smile
Do you know if any contests are planned allowing us to win the artbook (any edition)?

Anyways, thanks for the unboxing video Arne (and thank you cameraman ^^), very nice artbooks. smile

These look beautiful.  It’s awesome to look and see how the game, characters and environments evolved from start to finish.

I have a definite respect for hand-bound books and would love to get my hands on one of these!  Maybe for my birthday.

Ooh..that’s who Arne Mayor is! Your the guy I saw when you first showed gold rush sometime last year aren’t you?

These artbooks are very nice and look fueled with content (Unlike the GTA special edition I got...like 9 pages -_-), This will definatly be on my christmas list! Thanks for the unboxing of the limted edition, doubt we’d ever see that considerin there’s only 200 of em at $300 dollors a piece.

Fantastic! I would love to get the folio edition if it wasn’t so expensive. But it would be even better if we could get some of that concept art as desktop or PS3 wallpapers. I would love that!

I’m going to buy the Special Edition. <3 This artbook might even get me back into Uncharted. (: Haven’t played UC2 for about three and a half months now.. I really feel sorry, because ND and the game are so incredibly awesome!

And now I gotta go to sleep, it’s almost 11 PM and I have class tomorrow. ;P
