UNCHARTED 2 Anniversary - Best of… The Lab

We’re just over one week away from our special one-day only anniversary event to celebrate 1 year since the release of UNCHARTED 2. (Can you believe it’s nearly been a year ALREADY?)

We’ve got a bunch of things planned to make our one-year anniversary not only an awesome special event, but to also show how much we do appreciate our fans and our community – from those of you who have been around since last year’s beta to everyone joining us with the release of the Game of the Year Edition. We’ll post more details on NaughtyDog.com next week, but for now, we wanted to reveal the special playlist available for one day only, on October 16—“The Best of… The Lab.”

The “Best of… The Lab” playlist compiles the most popular episodes of “The Lab” as voted on by YOU on our NaughtyDog.com home page polls. We’re also including a more standard gametype into the mix to make sure there’s plenty of variety when you’re at the voting screen in matchmaking.

The playlist will rotate through the following gametype variations:

All of the gametypes will be played on the following maps:

  • The Plaza
  • The Sanctuary
  • The Temple
  • The Train Wreck

As we mentioned before, we’ve scheduled plenty of Dogs to be online and playing on October 16 and you will find them playing ONLY in the “The Best of… The Lab” playlist all day. It will DEFINITELY be worth your while to come play with us in the playlist on our anniversary! More on that next week…

Lol anyways, thats cool i guess. The question I have is what happened to the whole Emily Rose and the DLC? Do you still have more to announce.

Even more I am wondering, are you guys going the whole patch 1.5 and beyond mass ppl approach, easy to play so its more popular, or the we want to be original and our own game and have a hardcore audience on uncharted 3, so a lot of interesting things happening between you and Insomniac.

Both of you have pissed off your hardcore audience to try to appease the masses and both have failed, so how will both of your 3rd games be. Im pumped and scared at the same time.

While we’ve learned some lessons from each update and each The Lab we try out, we’ve hardly failed. We still have a strong and sizable core multiplayer community that continues to play day in and day out. For our first foray into online multiplayer, the fact that our multiplayer is still active is a pretty great thing.

Aw! I liked Sniper Elimination too, but that wasn’t voted as the most popular episode of The Lab for that month. I’d like to bring that back or try variations on that theme. Perhaps in a future episode of The Lab.

I hope we will have a Plunder only Gun mode, and that you start with Pistol (the shootgun gun) XD, caouse then you have to think more when you are going to kill the 1 who is carring the item. you have to know when to shoot, were good spots for ambushes are and alot more, and you could even make it a 2v2.

OMG Naugthy Dog i am in love with u XD thanks for giving us a chance to play with Dogs (not our puppies , i mean arne, zod5000, etc) in this awesome playlist i loved no power weapons and no boosters =)

Arne, please make it a double cash weekend. I look forward to this episode of the LAB, although i would have liked grenades only, not because i was good at it, but because it was pruely fun. BOOM. Also would someone please inform me into what the current multiplayer cap is per game?

What about the DLC you guys are working on or worked on with Emily Rose? Is there going to be an update on that day, 1.10?

BTW I really enjoyed 3v3 Plunder last weekend. I hope you guys can add it to the “Best of...” playlist of The Lab.
