Happy Friday! We’re pushing a patch today (view full notes here) that addresses many of the matchmaking issues taking place in Factions mode for The Last of Us Remastered. You should see improved matchmaking all around. It will be rolling out over the next twenty-four hours globally. Look for the update when you turn on your system today. With that patch, as promised, we’re giving away two, brand new multiplayer maps for FREE. The first map is the Beach, an excellent map for long-range experts. The second map is Financial Plaza, which is ideal for both sniping and close quarters combat. The maps will be free for both PS3 and PS4 players. It's time for a quick status update regarding matchmaking in The Last of Us Remastered. We've been working hard to alleviate the long waits in Factions matchmaking some of our multiplayer community have been experiencing. We are working on resolving this issue for those in our community who are still affected. We know this can be frustrating and the team here at Naughty Dog wants everyone in our community to know that working on this issue continues to be our number one priority. Patch 1.02 will be deployed in North America today. We are working to have the patch deployed in Europe as soon as possible over the weekend, and we expect the patch to be deployed in Asia next week. If you are already logged in, be sure to quit out of the game and check your Downloads notifications that the update file for The Last of Us Remastered has been downloaded and installed. As many of you may know, especially if you are among the many, many, many people who have been playing our Factions multiplayer mode, that some people have been experiencing long wait times while trying to find a match. Due to the sheer amount of content and general information to explain we’re going to be firing off details about the patch over the course of a few blog posts. Patch 1.12 will be deployed May, 29 2012. It will be available for all regions except Japan over the next 24 hours. The following changes will occur: TECHNICAL Patch 1.12 contains a technical fix that eliminates all cinema files recorded prior to patch 1.11. It will delete all local and online cinema files.  The flipped/"mirrorworld" maps players were encountering should be fixed. All maps should play normally.  The patch will be available to Japan soon. It will roll out across all regions globally over 24 hours once deployed. We were able to get both patch 1.08 and 1.09 through the testing and approval processes around the same time. Therefore we are releasing them together. Since the changes are cumulative you’ll only see an update for patch 1.09 when you download it. The Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception 1.03 patch is now deployed and will be rolling out across all regions globally over the next 24 hours. The patch notes to update 1.03 are as follows: Available: January 12 2012  ·         Users in the largest party in a game room will no longer be designated as Villains a large majority of the time ·         Cutscene viewer audio issues fixed (3D only) Patch 1.03 contains the necessary technical hooks for the playing of upcoming DLC.
