Happy Tuesday! Our Double Cash weekend and Rare Treasure Drop event has ended but don’t fret as we’ll have more special events and weekends happening down the road. Hope you all racked up some serious XP and found some cool rare treasures during the event.
The Lab this week is a return to the start of it all as we’re posting up Game Designer Junki Saita’s (@dirt_herder) inaugural Block Mesh Lap Map. This is a map that challenges you to think vertically. We have new Block Mesh Lab maps in the making but you’re going to see a return to some of the beloved OG ones while we finish up the other maps.
DrakeShepard is throwing down the gauntlet and challenging you to join in the Uncharted 3 Community World Championship. If you’ve seen the B2K Summer Olympics and Winter Olympics and wanted to test your skill at any of these meta-games now is your chance. The Community World Championship starts March 9 (Saturday) at 9PM GMT. The first round will be spread out over the course of two weekends to be determined at a later date. The finals will take place on the third weekend if all goes well. Read all the details and sign up today! We will be providing some rare and new in-game prizes to the grand prize winners.
Patch 1.17 and something new for Uncharted 3 Multiplayer will be deployed next week. Full details will appear on the PlayStation and Naughty Dog blogs. Get those reading glasses cleaned as it’s going to be a long read.
As mentioned the initial wave of Block Mesh Lab Maps will be in the Lab calendar and more are in the pipeline. Once patch 1.17 is deployed we’ll update on how many Labs per week you’ll be seeing. Visit the Lab calendar on your Uncharted 3 stats page to check out upcoming Labs and future multiplayer events. See you online!
