UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection is Now Available for PS5

A word of thanks from the dev team

We’re thrilled to finally say: today marks the release of UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection on the PlayStation 5!

When we set out to remaster UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End and UNCHARTED: The Lost Legacy, we had a lot of fun re-living Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer’s awe-inspiring journeys. Our goal was to present these award-winning experiences at the highest quality possible, taking advantage of what the PlayStation 5 has to offer. In doing so, we feel that this makes the gameplay and story feel that much more immersive.

We’ve leveraged the awesome haptic feedback system in the DualSense controller, allowing you to feel differences in each individual combat and melee weapon, even down to Nate’s dart gun. The haptic feedback system also allows for directionality in what you feel, so when you take damage, you can tell from what direction the blow was dealt. Of course, we brought that mechanic into traversal, so the player feels feedback using the rope, swinging, jumping landing, all the high velocity action that Nate and Chloe constantly hurtle through. Updates like these were especially fun for us to implement into the more iconic UNCHARTED moments, like the Madagascar car chase scene, the opening boat sequence in U4, and the epic swordfight battle with Rafe.

Whether you’re familiar with the world of UNCHARTED or embarking on these adventures for the first time, we hope you enjoy playing these games that are incredibly special to our team. UNCHARTED 4 and UNCHARTED: The Lost Legacy were touched by hundreds of talented, ambitious individuals who poured their unique skills into the production of these games. Drake and Chloe, as well as all their cohorts that surround them, are so important to all of us at the studio, we’re stoked to bring these two UNCHARTED stories to life on the PS5.

Thank you for passionately supporting UNCHARTED all these years. Sic Parvis Magna.
